Yes, only a few days after dramatically announcing that I wasn’t going to keep uploading things... here I am. Uploading things. And not just any thing: my first drawing with color!

I tried my best, I suffered bravely, and my Android tablet and I are now bonded by trauma. This is the first time I’ve colored something that isn’t a building, so please know that every shadow, highlight, and raindrop was placed with equal parts determination and confusion (why the hell are there so many tools for coloring? omg).

This is Harry and Draco from The Most Splendid Thing, specifically that scene where they kiss under the rain. A scene that apparently looked at me and said, "you WILL try to learn to color today." I loved the story so much, and this moment was so vivid and hot that I really wanted to try drawing it.

There’s definitely a LOOOT I still want to improve, but honestly, I’m happy with how it turned out, and even happier that it made me brave enough to start experimenting with color.

Thank you to @lqtraintracks for writing something so lovely and inspiring me to draw, and to accidentally begin my coloring era.

I’m doing this because, in the end, the ask was not answered: what are we supposed to do with ourselves while we await your next amazing Drarry? I accept ideas, coping mechanisms, and suspiciously specific dates XD

Today I found myself at a hospital again with just my phone and my reMarkable Paper 2 tablet. So, yeah, options were a bit limited. But after yesterday’s scare (when I nearly killed my fave fic author) I really wanted to draw some lineart.

Color options are very limited, and yes, I am fully aware I color like a three-year-old without crayons, okay? 😂

P.S. Don’t expect more art from me here. I’m going back to drawing buildings, where straight lines are the norm, nobody has cheekbones, and the drama is usually limited to ¨will the builder see the dimensions on the A0?¨ instead of ¨oh dear, where do I put the devastating quote?¨

P.P.S. Perhaps I’ll crawl out of my hole when the next Drarry drops, like some kind of emotionally compromised fanart house-elf.

So, here is my original line art for "The Most Splendid Thing", a fanfic that genuinely accompanied me through some very dark hours in hospital waiting rooms.

I loved everything about it, but especially the imagination behind it. Harry with brown skin and beautiful long hair, which I always pictured a little curly. Draco with his tattoos and undercut. And both of them so fierce, full of personality, and completely in character.

The whole story was fucking a-ma-zing, and my only intention was to show my thanks and appreciation. I loved this fic so much that it made me pick up my architect’s tablet to draw people again for the first time in YEARS. It also made me open a Tumblr account 🤣

Anyway, your stories are utterly inspiring, and I cannot stop recommending them. Thank you for sharing them with the world, and I can't wait till the next one ✨🪄
