Soooooo, Dastardos is the sour version of the eldest child of Jardinero named Stardos. Now I'm not looking this up so there's a chance it's not entirely accurate but, Jardinero put his student-y guy, Lester (later professor pester) in charge of Stardos as his gardening tutor. When Jardinero went off on his sailing trip to maybe find a dragon or maybe find his wife who was looking for a dragon, Lester decided to use Stardos as a sort of one-time lab rat to see what would happen to a person if they were to eat the sour sweets he had been making and its kinda implied that he dieed??? I mean, dude floats, I think he's undead.

In the journal entry on Dastardos, Leafos says he's looks vaguely familiar but she can't quite place him, that's his sister! He lives so close to his siblings and father and none of them recognise him and think he's weird and that's well tragic
