Since Etsy hasn’t done a whole lot for me, I am trying something new.

The second photo is of a pattern I made with an online pattern maker--and going to be my next project.  There will be a design of some sort with the verse, I just don’t know what that will be, yet.

Got this one done and into my shop the other day. :)  So glad to actually put something into my shop after what seems like forever !

Trying to get back to it...

Hello, all! Sorry it’s been so long since I posted–things have been pretty busy around here. I have been stitching–most recently on a gift or two, and I finally got nearly finished with the last one last night along with the other gift and a store project. I hope to be getting something else started for my Etsy shop soon ! I erased the ones that are going to be gifts; I know they’re the backs, but I don’t want anyone who might see them getting ideas. 😁

Finally in my shop!

Life has been pretty crazy here, so I apologize for the length of time that I posted that this was finished, to the time I’m actually posting that it’s listed in my Etsy shop (or for that matter, that I was finally able to post it in my Etsy shop ! Thank you so much for stopping by !

Finally got around to finishing this one (getting it in the hoop), which has been waiting around for a while.  Unfortunately for whatever reason, the lace I usually use to put around the edge of the hoop was not cooperating; it kept facing the opposite direction than I wanted it to--so I gave up on that and decided to put  gold bow at the top of the hoop instead.

I just tried something silly--applying to sell on Amazon Handmade. Not really expecting to be accepted, but one never knows until one tries.

I am not satisfied with how "Winter-corn" is turning out (Doing a series of "Season unicorns" -- already showed "Falli-corn"). I used three strands of white metallic floss, and that makes the cross stitches look way too "bumpy" I think that next time I try this I will use two strands instead of three. As for this one, I will finish it, but I'm going to do the design a bit differently than I'd planned and give it as a gift.

I finally finished the stitching on the Falli-corn.  Now I am waiting for some of the proper sized hoops to come in the mail so that I can frame it.

New shop site

I was invited to open a shop/booth on a website called Etenty, to which I signed up. It will be interesting to see how it works. I have yet to be sent an acceptance notification (forgot what they said it was actually called).

A couple of things: First, I finally got the Irish blessing into my shop (top photo).  Second, I wanted to share the progress on my “Fall-icorn” project.  It’s getting closer to being done. :)  I meant to start with a “Winter-corn” first, but somehow I yanked Fall colors out of my embroidery floss box...

I started to put this up in my shop today. It sat around for months waiting to be finished last year, and then it sat around for some more months while it waited for me to put it up. Now it is sitting waiting in a saved draft because I don't have a box that will fit it to ship it (though come to think of it I could use a large envelope, though I'd have to find that too). So, a little at a time. I just have to "keep on keepin' on" as my pastor used to say.

Working on a new project

Working on a new project, though instead of using the colors that the pattern says and the word "Magic", I am going to do the unicorns' manes and tails with the colors of the seasons, and put something like "Fall-icorn" or "Wint-icorn" or something. ;)

It's done. Finally, I was able to get the words on without making another mistake! Now I can rinse it out and get it ready to be secured in the hoop !   Hope to get this in the store, soon !

Finally getting to post about the progress on my recent counted cross stitch project. 

Between problems with my camera (memory card being corrupted/dying and having to wait for a new one coming in the mail after I bought one online) and just being plain busy, I haven't been able to get my progress posted on this.

 Plus, about three times I've made mistakes on the words that I've had to rip out.

Oh, well--this will be done eventually !
