his initial delight at nour's appearance in his doorway - it had quickly become one of his favorite sights to behold - is short lived as he watches her flit right past him, beelining towards the windowsill with a bouquet of carrots in hand. ❝ and where is my present? ❞ despite his advanced age, a childish petulance punctuates the question, complete with an accusatory glare. just like that, he's ten winters old and pouty-lipped and watching the other boys at court tear into confectionary colored gifts while he plies the masses with solstice cakes and hearthberry tea. the insubordinate hare didn't even have the decency to feign disinterest - his nose twitching fiendishly as he gives the offering a throughout inspection. the lack of professionalism was astounding! ❝ and before you say your presence is present enough, you should know i have a pending patent on the phrase. ❞
" oh my, someone's awfully needy today, isn't he? " nour replies, amusement finding home in the upturned corners of her mouth. she brushes past shade, not even sparing a glance back, as she makes her way to the real reason she's come to visit. of course, banter with the proprietor of cassiopeia is an added bonus. well, banter and more, really, but who's keeping score?
basil seems thrilled with her offering, already starting to nibble at a particularly plump carrot with delight. at last, she turns her attentions back to the fae who she finds stewing across the room with the sort of immaturity she should find unattractive. instead, for some gods-fated reason, she only finds herself even more endeared — how delightfully horrific.

❌ it would not take much for nour to turn evil . . . wrong-o. nour is very self serving but there's a moral compass somewhere deep down. she can be classed as a bad person, yes, but she's not reprehensible. ✅ nour is awful with technology & doesn't know how to use a smart phone . . . in a modern setting, nour is absolutely abysmal with technology. she's still from the fae realm and really doesn't have much of an interest in mortal contraptions. however, if someone teaches her how to take selfies, it's all over. ❌ nour needs a nightlight to sleep . . . not at all, but she does like to wake up with the sun rising! ✅ ❌ nour is a top . . . she's a performer and will commit to whatever role she's cast in for the evening!
