So for the longest time I didn’t have an earth representative because I like my reps to be gen1s and I’m pretty picky about it.
When the colorwheel came out, I actually hatched one that I liked enough to keep (tertiary doesn’t work as gembond like I wanted, but doesn’t look too bad as glimmer, which still passes as gem-y enough for me).
Anyways, I was really excited for her to grow up so I could FINALLY use the holiday apparel that’s been chilling in my hoard since like, forever. I saved for ages and bought the crystalhide forever ago, and I was soooo excited to finally use it for what I wanted to.
So there I am, dressing up my new gal. Put on the emblem, perfect. Then went the crystalhide. Ah-maze-ing!! Then the boots. Oh man, it looks so gooood. Layer that sash just right and… mmm. So good.
Then I keep scrolling through my apparel, because I know I’m missing one more piece that isn’t the crown, but I don’t… quite… remem…ber…….
…………….Oh, right. It’s the fucking bluffclamber belongings.
Begrudgingly, I slap that shit on my shiny new Earth rep….. and surprise surprise, it looks like total shit and ruins the entire aesthetic. Totally, completely, ruins it.
Guess I’m going with the generic crown for this gal. Haven’t had to skip out on putting any of the holiday apparel on my flight reps, until this one.
Cute on its own, total and utter shit as a piece that’s supposed to go with anything. Still trying to figure out how that fucking hat ties in with earth lore or aesthetic BUT YOU KNOW….
I will be forever (fucking pissed) salty about the bluffclamber belongings. Forever. And always. Till the end of time.
