Danna Paola as Lucrécia “Lu” Montesinos Hendrich on ÉLITE (SEASON ONE, 2018)
LUCERECIA MONTESINOS HENDRICH
Before we just had a murderer and a wannabe con artist.
Now that the narco’s been arrested Las Encinas pretty much looks like Guantanamo
Independent crossover friendly Lucrecia Montesinos Hendrich of Netflix’s Elite
chmpgneflwrs:
rebe rolled her eyes right back, choosing to let the conversation change, rather than try and argue a point she didn’t believe herself. fine. let her win this time. lu could have the battle, but she’d would win the war. …even if she wasn’t entirely sure what exactly the were fighting over in the first place. but that’s how things just seemed to be, with catty private school girls. “actually-” rebe looked back across the room, this time at the girl samu was busy talking to. the marquesa. but no. she couldn’t admit those feelings to lu. not when it was so painfully obvious carla would never feel the same way. it’d just be another thing for the other girl to use against her.
instead, she turned her head, stopping on valerio. which option would bother lu more? guzmán, or her brother? presumably the former, but the latter would be far easier to get into bed. besides, his bed was at lu’s home, which could really only lead to more chances to get under her skin, something that was quickly becoming a new favorite hobby. “since you’ve so graciously done all the work for us, that frees me up to spend some time with a new… friend of mine.” she’d hardly said two words to the guy, but it’s not like he was known for being a prude. “but maybe i’ll still see you around? you know, like in your kitchen, when i’m grabbing a snack between rounds.”
Lu’s life had been a constant war. Whether that was a war to keep her brother safe from himself, a war to be the best and to be loved, or a war for the attention of everyone around her that she was more than geared up to spar with Rebekah. While the girl could have been a boxer, she was a warrior who knew how to be tactical. Still, all that composure and tact could fade at the right taunt. Valerio was always someone she protected mostly from himself, but now with another shark in the water she wasn’t going to let him even dip a toe into the temptation that was Rebekah. She wasn’t ugly, but just lacked the amount of class that she would have wanted for the people around her. Her inner circle was already being infiltrated by people who weren’t “future leaders of the world” as they had once been called, that Rebekah and all of her Pablo Escobar could ever gain access to.
“Cosita,” she looked over at her brother quickly still looking over at Samuel and Carla. “My brother has a lot of friends, some aren’t the best for him and while he is someone who is trusting and naive-- I’m not. And to get to him, you have to get through me.” She chuckled a bit knowing that Rebekah could never meet her standards. Their sibling dynamic complicated but at least she did know that one fact. “But I know my father’s genes can be very tempting to get close to.” Lu knew that she couldn’t come off too defensive, but even as a protective little sister she could throw a few jabs Rebekah’s way.
despite knowing each other for years, lu and ander had never really gotten along. ander was pretty sure they had nothing in common, but for whatever reason, his boyfriend had decided to make her his new best friend. which meant that the two of them were stuck together, awkwardly waiting for their boyfriends to make an appearance at this little dinner party lu had thrown for the four of them. he knew he should have just come late, but guzmán was always such a stickler for the rules that he didn’t want to bother having to put up with a lecture if he wasn’t on time. and yet, the man himself was nowhere to be found. at least omar had the excuse of being at work, but where the hell was guzmán?
at least lu had provided him with wine. he was already enjoying his second glass when lu’s family chef brought out appetizers, but had yet to say anything to her besides a polite greeting when he’d come inside. maybe, just maybe, if he drank enough, he’d be able to come up with some sort of common ground they shared, because overpriced dresses and having sex with guzmán were the only interests he even knew lu had, and frankly, he wasn’t sure which sounded worse to talk about. “this wine is… really nice.” that was something at least, right? @lumontesincs
Taking another quick sip, Lu raised her eyebrows in acknowledgement. It was strange, knowing someone for such a long time, but never knowing whether that same someone actually enjoyed your presence. There should have been some more interaction between the two of them but with Ander’s father pushing tennis and Ander being so secretive about who he was for so long it was no wonder that the two didn’t know much about one another. There was so much Lu wanted to talk to him about. Their common ground more than anything being Guzman. Still there had to be more than their unwavering love for someone that was slowly unraveling like a cheap knitted sweater.
“Amor,” Lu began just calling Ander’s attention. “I know we both are friends- you know no, acquaintances because of the people we happen to be around.” There was no need to sugar coat the truth. “But, I want you to know, that I really do care about you.” Good wine or not that wasn’t a reason why she was saying all that she was. She realized that after the death of Marina that the people she considered friends were far more important than anything in the world. “And truly, I am glad that you have found someone that makes you happy.” The years she had known him there was something different in Ander now, an ease and confidence that was hard earned. “I think everyone wishes they could be with someone that could make them feel as free as you seem.” Lu wasn’t even sure if she was saying what she was because she needed it to be said, or if she was saying it because she was trying to get Ander to let his guard down more.

Lu’s friendship meant the world to her. Few people would prove themselves so forgiving and understanding, especially considering Carla hid from her involvement in the murder of someone they both knew.· She would have understood it if Lu pushed her away, not only for hiding secrets from her but also for lying once again when she had the opportunity to make it right.· ❝ Thank you. You’ve always been here for me, and I’m sorry for not thanking you before.❞ They were family, bonded forever.· Friendships like theirs could overcome anything and would survive through time, failed relationships and hard trials.·❝ And I love you too, always.❞ Speaking to Lu again felt good. Maybe if she tried that before, they wouldn’t have found themselves in this situation. But it was too late for regrets now, what was done was done and nothing could change the past. Carla pursed her lips, lowering her head as a soft smile spread on her face. Happiness. She used to think it was late nights with Marina and Lu, secretly drinking wine in her bedroom. Not everything was different, Carla realized. Her best friend played a huge part in her happiness.Who made her feel happy and loved? The answers quickly came to her mind: Lu and Samuel. Certainly not her parents.· ❝ I guess you’re right, but so does yours. And well, Yeray is single now, and if there’s one thing I learned about him is that he has a good heart and is someone forgiving. I’m pretty sure he’d be amazed to know THE Lucrecia Montesinos likes him. ❞ Carla added, a teasing smile playing on her features.
I almost forgot what it was like to have you care about me. Lu was tempted to say those words, echoing them now. Lu had forgotten what it was like to have the Carla that cared about someone and not just care about covering up the terrible crime that had happened. Carla’s smile brought warmth and light into a world that just seemed cold and dark. She thought that no one loved her, that no one cared about her enough to say those words again. Even if it wasn’t love that was romantic, hearing the words I love you from anyone that knew her, and that knew her secrets was enough to give her pause. She had been thinking of what had driven her to such a state that she hadn’t realized what she had done. The only reason she could think of was the idea of someone not loving her. “I was someone that was cruel to him.” It was true that he might have been forgiving, but she also was someone that had stood idly by while he was taunted. Too wrapped up in her problems with Guzman and Valerio, she didn’t stand up for someone when they needed it most. One thing was true, and that was that she wanted someone that actually could love her the way he had loved Carla. “Why didn’t it work with you two? Was it just that you were in love with Samu that you couldn’t fall for anyone else?”

“miss me?” his voice was low as he caught lu off guard, pulling her away from the life of the party and into a quiet hall in the mansion. he shouldn’t be here. he should be far away, running from his past and those who might still be convinced of his guilt. but he can’t stay away, especially since finding out lu’s true predicament with her father. “you didn’t think i wouldn’t show up at your big party…did you?” he questioned, walking her backwards against the wall and kissing her roughly. it had been weeks since he’d managed to get her alone, and those their relationship was new, they had already reached a certain level of comfort with each other and his hands move to her wrists pulling her hands up above her head and pinning her against the wall. “do you think they’ll miss you much?”
A shiver ran down her spine, the bass in his voice both calmed her and excited her. The music seeming far away now Lu could have cared less about the guest she had specifically chosen to keep up appearances. How she had made this party happen was still a miracle. Of course she wasn’t going to admit that she missed him although every cell in her body knew that she did. Moaning into his mouth she returned the same sense of desire and urgency. While she had been with Guzman where he kept her at arms length and was safe, Nano was the opposite. She had been with Guzman who hardly wanted to be with her and now Nano was risking his safety and further tarnishing his reputation all to see her. His dark corners and quiet moments only adding in more romance and allure to their relationship. It was romantic knowing that no matter what he was risking everything to see her. Her hands still above her head she had never been the girl that was too easy. Sexual, sure, but easy never. “It’s not a party until someone I didn’t expect shows up.” Not saying that he wasn’t invited she just didn’t expect to see him even with the long time span spent away from seeing him. Her arms relaxing a bit she still returned them where he had them, loving the dominance he showed. “This is my party,” she hinted. Really there was so much that her friends hadn’t noticed. They hadn’t noticed how she was rebuilding her life from the rubble left from her previous one. She was going to build a better life, one where she didn’t need her father or her brother. Still teasing she bit her lip. “I think they only won’t notice if I make up a good reason why I disappeared.” She paused wanting to kiss him again. “Have any ideas?”

The fake smile Yeray had on his own face matched perfectly with the expression on Lu’s, though he was too distracted by his anger towards her to even pick up on the clues that maybe her lack of recognition towards him wasn’t as genuine as it appeared. “Coffee? Sounds lovely.” Frankly, he wasn’t quite sure he could think of anything that sounded like a worse way to spend his time, other than being forced to put the weight back on. That didn’t mean he was about to let Lu win, though. …Even if he wasn’t entirely sure just what she was winning.
“Well, as a businessman who’s been featured in Forbes, I have no problem with apologizing, so… you might want to check your data on that. Just a bit of a tip.” Though he kept his tone light and playful, his words were anything but. Who did she think she was, bossing him around? He’d been so prepared to finally have his comeuppance, to walk into the school and get to be the popular kid, to have everyone regret ever being mean to him, but it wasn’t working out at all like how he’d planned. No one even recognized him. Sure, many of them had been impressed, but did it even matter, if they didn’t realize how far he’d come? “Let’s go get that coffee.”
How long could he keep up this charade? Was he this committed to the new person he had become that he had left behind the person he once was? If he wanted to continue not admitting who he was then neither would she. People could change and he was proof of just that. If he wanted to go toe to toe with her then she would be fine with it. It had been too long since she had mentally sparred with anyone. Nadia had become a routine opponent now that she welcomed the challenge.
“Maybe you’re just not as ruthless and you would hope to be in business.” A small jab at who he was currently although that hadn’t been her intention. She often found herself patting herself on the back for things she said, her statement one she definitely would think of later. Lu could tell that she would starting to get to him. Walking a step ahead she continued, her toned legs not making a small ticking noise on the polished floors. “Sometimes nice guys really do finish last. Wouldn’t want that to be you.” She feigned concern. “My father deals with plenty of businessmen that I’ve come to recognize some character traits.” She even thought of Carla’s father who seemed like a shark on the battlefield of business. “I guess I’ll just keep the fact that you’re one that doesn’t mind apologizing in mind.” Walking away from the main group of campus she looked back to see if anyone else had seen her walk away with who they all might have thought was the new kid. Still not dropping her façade she continued. “So... why come to Las Encinas?” Omitting the word back in her sentence she tried to find his motive. “You could have been anywhere in the world.”
