So Among Us fandom, how we feeling about the show? Personally, I highly enjoyed it. As a long-time Among Us fan, I really appreciated it!! Sure it was dumb and silly and a little cringe at times but there was a lot of aspects about it I really enjoyed and it really has the charm of a classic Among Us story based around gameplay just like the ones you used to see in people’s fan fiction comics back in the prime fandom days! The writing is decently well done, the cast of characters is actually pretty interesting and had very good characterization despite the short run time of the show, and there was just a lot of fascinating stuff in it!! Such as what I’m about to explain, so some spoilers for the show:

HERACLES!! OH MY GOD IM SO SO HAPPY ABOUT THEIR INCLUSION. I adore Purple but I adore their dynamic with Heracles even more, it’s so important to me that a character in media was allowed to have a pet fish and who actually genuinely cared about that fish. I don’t see that enough in media, especially with fish pets, so as someone who’s kept bettas for a long time, it meant a lot to me. Society’s general disregard for pet fish frustrates me to no end, so it was very special to see a pet fish in the show who was even relevant to the story! Even after Heracles passed away, Purple’s grief was never dismissed or invalidated or ridiculed by the narrative or other characters, which is also nice to see :-) Because sadly, I feel like grief over losing pet fish gets overlooked a lot. But props to this show for good fish/fish owner rep! Although I am very curious and concerned about how Purple was able to take care of a fish when they had no steady income bc caring for fish can be expensive as HELL 😭😭 live laugh love the aquarium hobby
