I had to go dig thru my nightmarish drafts on my main account (I am so so bad at saving EVRTYTHING into drafts rip….) to find this post I was writing on June 7th and never finished hkfhskdf But since we get Zandrya's first appearance tomorrow, I wanted to revisit it before then.

So ANYWAYS: Unreleased episode spoilers (via voice actors) + Zandrya speculation!

I do not expect any of this to end up being true, BUT speculating is fun lol

SO looking at the imdb for the show it seems we're gonna see Twitch again??? Not sure how much I trust the confusing and ever-changing IMDB page but STILL.

But ANYWAYS, him (maybe?) being in the series made me curious about if it might be in relation to Zandrya at any point, since "As master of disguise, Zandrya takes a different form each time she appears in an episode", and with him literally being a shapeshifting creature (Strangeling). First thought was the owl she has, though it's missing the diamond on it's chest that Twitch has, so unless he figured out a way to hide that… The colour scheme is also not matching, which he could have SOME small variation on in his transformations, but not so drastic as to be BRIGHT BLUE lol.

BUT all that also made me notice that:

Zandrya DOES have a diamond motif going on… I know Twitch could only be animals, but I do not remember if there was any other lore that solidified if a Strangeling can or cannot potentially be humanoid?? (I haven't rewatched any Mystic Isles eps lol, so am only going off his appearances in "In Cedric We Trust" and "Forever Royal"). If the owl isn't him, than I wonder if Sofia and co will maybe at some point consult Twitch for some info related to Zandrya's shapeshifting? If she is infact a shapeshifter anyways, as the like few sentences of lore we have for her don't outright state that she is, only saying that she takes on different forms per episode, which I imagine there's got to potentially be other magical ways to do (some magical item, potions, spells, or glamours, et). Also if she isn't, and the owl is maybe a different Strangeling, than still consulting Twitch about it lol. Not sure why he would help them lol, but still. ALSO the owl DOES have yellow eyes like Twitch does. Wormwood had them too tho so it's not exclusive to Strangelings, but worth pointing out!

We didn't see Twitch and Wormwood again after they were caught, so by all means they're probably still imprisoned SOMEWHERE lol.

And since I originally wrote this post on June 7th lol, the IMDB has been updated to say that Twitch is in one of "Kidding Around/Puppercorn Ruckus". Merlin was also originally listed on the IMDB, but doesn't seem to be anymore now?? I had wondered if he might also be related to all this, like idk maybe he was tasked with keeping Wormwood and Twitch locked away?? Or that Sofia and co might consult him on stuff, since like if anyone (other than Twitch) would know something about Zandrya's magic or etc, he'd be a good option lol.

Also have wondered since first hearing her song is WHAT school Zandrya went to??? Because it literally cannot have been Charmswell, considering that school was JUST made. The only other canon option we have is Hexley Hall. So curious to if it was there or not!

it does baffle me that they put Sofia back in her first/original dress for the new series… it’s likely for character recognition purposes and merch purposes but she just seems so young and supposedly royal magic takes place after the original series, which would mean Sofia is 11-12. she looks like she’s 8 again!!!

OKAY finally came back to this thing I started the other month or whenever Royal Magic premiered lol So far I thiiiiink these are all the characters that have unique wands??? I tried to get all the different angles I could for them! Everyone else, so far anyways, seems to have the school assigned wands (like Sofia's 1st episode wand, just in various colours). I feel like Devin being included in the characters who have a unique wand is some foreshadowing for some kind of significance in the show?? Can't wait to find out!!!

I've been wondering all this time too if Cedric's wand was supposed to be his family wand or not?? Like the colour does not match, and the Royal Magic one has the gem and branch intertwined into one (which is sooooo cool!). But as I was putting these together I realized how the SHAPES of the RM one and the OG family wand in fact ARE the same!! Like the locations of the little knots on the wand and the shape match perfectly!! So I think it IS actually the family wand. I guess idk if that had been confirmed on bluesky or not since i'm never really on there lol, and only learn the deets from ppl posting screenshots over here, haha. But ANYWAYS, if it 100% is in fact the family wand, I wonder if there's like a lore reason for it looking so different, or if the crew just decided he deserved a cool wand (which he does fjkfksjd).

Also included the other wands we see in the og series that he has but never actually USES lol. It's funny how even tho he had several different wands, the MAIN one he always used was like the generic wand EVERYONE else uses haha?? The going back and forth between using his regular wand vs the family wand was always weird to me too, but especially in Forever Royal. Like... Sofia used his family wand to break Vor's spell on them, he took it back from her... and then proceeded to use his regular wand for the rest of the final????? I feel like if there was ANYWHERE he should have had the family wand, it was in the scene where he rescued Sofia from the amulet. And anyways I'm absolutely thinking too much on a silly little detail but look it's always bugged me okay fdbfdsjfbsj ANYWAYS his RM is so pretty I love it so much!!!!

I love that Camila's wand, while simpler than the others, just fits her so perfectly. Has that nature theme that matches with her dress! Also matches her tiara too, with the same gems.

Devin's has that ergonomic leather handle going on dshjdsk And it has studding that matches his clothes as well! ALSO I'M CRYING I JUST NOTICED HIS BELT BUCKLE IS A BIG "D" LMAO.

Miss Nettle's new wand is really cool too!! Definitely a huge improvement over the generic og show wands she used!! It's a little hard to see clearly, but it looooooooks like hers has like a wood vine thing and a gem intertwining, though not merged together like in Cedric's wand. (also why was the wand she had in "Olaf and the Tale of Miss Nettle" black??? like that wasn't an animation error, it's like that the whole episode lol).

There's some more unique wands from the og series, but my fave is Cordelia's. The Fliegel also had a really nice looking one!

today my art therapist said Greylock's design made him think of the coachman from Cinderella (??????), and i was just like hang on i gotta show you the character who is just tim gunn. and i mean that LITERALLY he's actually voiced by him. and so i showed him this pic

and he started cracking up. he was just like his pants are so tight. why does this man look like he's just wearing leggings?? he looks like he just walked right of a lululemon! LIKE RIP BAILEYWICK 🤣🤣🤣
