“This tragedy destroys,
Every beloved thing.
And in this endless night,
In despair
He might see the dawn
That will awake him the next morning…”
The melody lingered in her head, melody of a song that every child of Eos knew, their lullaby.
But Luna had always wondered, why such a sad song became a lullaby, once was sung every night before she drifted into deep slumber.
On the balcony of her room, the young Oracle watched the city of Altissia fall into silence. The moon must be lost, and the stars must have gone in search for their moon as well. The night was darker than ever. And just the slightest thought of never being able to see a new dawn made her shudder.
Would the Oracle do everything to protect the world she loved? Even if it meant to turn her weapon to the Gods?
She was torn. The vow she had made on the day she became an Oracle, it was to serve Gods and protect Eos with her power. Now the Gods was toying with them all. They sent their children on a merciless war against one another, to kill and claim the crystals. Children of Gods; the people of Eos, Gran Pulse, and Orience; must now fight for their own realm’s existence. To protect her world, Luna must fight. But the thought of killing the people with whom she had become friends, whom she had shared many good memories with, even just for a fleeting moment; it felt as if a thousand blades cutting through her heart.
How cruel the Gods’ decision was, throwing the innocents into war, watching them killing one another. And now it’s time to make up her mind, to obey order of the divinity, or to fight against Gods.
In her mind, she already had an answer. It was never easy to make that choice when she knew she must battle against innocent lives of the other side. But Luna would fight this war, not for herself but for every beloved thing, and for a brighter future. The worlds would be at peace, once the crystals were claimed by human and there would be no Gods to toy with their lives once again.
With her strong belief in the Prince of Lucis and their comrades, Luna left her chamber. She must go before the dawn, to the Citadel, where she had chosen to be, by Noctis’s side against the Gods.
#outofMoon: I re-posted my solo here since this picture is just too epic! It is an honor to fight in this battle with everyone.
