Also, I literally cannot shut up about the blacks episode, which is the season final.
Seeing Rhaenys and her dragon flying to Dragonstone, informing Rhaenyra of usurpation and the lack of information upon her father’s death.
It seems like in the preview for the next episode towards the end, Daemon was singing a song or melody to another dragon that is not Caraxes nor Syrax. It seemed bigger than two, let me just say I’m excited to see it I gasp when I saw the head of the dragon. Because it seems like the dragon he was singing to was more rough, cut, and defined features to where it wasn’t old, but it wasn’t so young that it wasn’t in adolescence.
I’m also very happy to see Rhaenys more in action, then in words, because her dragon is known as the Red Queen. We Will be putting respect to both their names. It’s also interesting, knowing that she bonded with the Red Queen and she was the Queen that never was. Kinda ironic in a funny not cynical way.
When they were around the Painted Table, when Jacaerys volunteered to go, I was like “don’t do it, do not do it” “ why did you offer? Why? Why!” in my head because we know what happens to her three kids sired from Ser Harwin strong, made him and his luscious locks rest in peace.
I read somewhere that this episode was very much about the greens and the next was about the blacks and whoever said that was so right.
It felt so anti-climactic at the same time while watching it in the beginning but towards the end, obviously we saw what happened with Rhaeyns and her dragon. But I wasn’t told differently. Are we about to see all 17 different dragons at once or are we going to see them throughout each season or leading up to the Dance of the Dragon? Or is each season, obviously, going in chronological order leading up to a different conflict leading to into the dance of the dragons?
When listening to that little extra stuff, at the end of the episode this week you can see obviously in the episodes that Aegon truly doesn’t want the position but he’s doing it anyway. While Aemon truly, does possess the desire and logistics. I guess you could say of wanting the crown but unfortunately, he cannot due to not being the first born.
But I do ultimately like seeing how their characters develop, because as I said in the post before this. Aegon truly does express his emotions and doesn’t keep them inside, but he does it in such an unhealthy manner. He gets reprimanded anyway, while Aemon on the outside is very collected, logistic, but in the inside he’s very much shows his displeasure, and he keeps his emotions in. It was back in the episode called “Driftmark”, i think, while Aegon is disgusted and disappointed to be have wedded to his sister Helaena, while Aemon really did what he needed to do for his duty and since then, he has genuinely cares about her and longs for her and yet he can’t do anything about it.
It’s also interesting to see the difference between the two brothers, Aegon and Aemon and compare them to Viserys and Daemon. Even though comparing them is unfair, but just bear with me here. Daemon it looked out for his brother’s best interest. And yes he did what he wanted a lot of the time, even though he was reprimanded a lot for his actions he also did love his brother very much, and would do anything for him, and did what was in the best interest for him while Aemon is very jealous of Aegon. We’ve noticed it since the driftmark episode and he wants what Aegon has, Helaena, power and not to be thought of as a the lesser. He also has a better physique and more of the mental game one should be able to play on others than Aegon. While Aemon has these qualities Aegon does not. Aegon holds the responsibility of being the first male air, and also the responsibilities of what is threated upon him with no consideration of his feelings because it’s his “birthright”. Also, he’s not very well having the same for seat and mentality as his younger brother.
Because when I saw Jacaerys volunteer to go somewhere I was like isn’t it a little too early for you to die? But then again, I don’t know.
If you know something about how the show is going to be keeping the chronological order of things, and how it leads up to the Dance of the Dragon, please comment politely , because I heard that they are going to keep it in order and having each season be a “conflict” leading up to the Dance, obviously I could be wrong. I can also read the book, which i purchased a few days ago and read that. But obviously TV shows and how they do things are different from the box and how they’re doing it.
