Today is just one of those days.

Last night I had a dream about an ex. I loved this man so much but I fucked things up because I was scared to leave where I was. I never took a chance for him even when he was the one person I should have. I don’t regret my life, and I am happy where I am but “what if’s” keep me down. He is now engaged to a beautiful woman and they seem very happy together. I am so extatic that he found someone willing to be the one for him. But to me he’s still “the one that got away” and one I may still be in love with for the rest of my life. He has never left my mind nor has he ever done any wrong to me. I still miss him, but I am so happy that I had the chance to meet him and share my life with him. No matter how brief.
