xv. sentenced
At the end of the day, Dom still ended up in handcuffs.
Y/n sat between Brian and Mia as they waited for the judge to sentence Dom. Monty sat beside Mia, holding her hand soothingly, Y/n holding the other tightly, as they tensely stood up as instructed, watching the judge walk to his seat.
"Please be seated." someone said, letting everyone sit back down. Brian put his arm around the back of Y/n, trying to provide some comfort to her.
"Please rise, Mr. Toretto," the judge said. Dom silently stood. "I've listened to the testimony...and taken into special consideration...Agent O'Conner's appeal of clemency on behalf of Mr. Toretto, that his actions directly resulted in the apprehension of known drug trafficker, Arturo Braga." Y/n felt her stomach and lungs squeeze as the judge continued. "However, this judiciary finds that one right does not make up for a lifetime of wrongs,"
Y/n let out a shaky breath. Hearing this, Brian moved his arm that was wrapped around Y/n.
"And as such I find that I am forced to level the maximum sentence under California law."
Brian couldn't hear anymore. He stood up, and walked off upset.
"Dominic Toretto," the judge said, as a tear slid down Y/n's cheek. "You are hearby sentenced to serve 25 years to life at the Lompoc maximum security prison system without the possibility of early parole. This court is adjourned."

xiv. feelings
*smut ~ oral (f)*
"Everything's falling apart." Y/n sobbed. Y/n's head laid on Mia's chest, feeling her sadness finally flush from her being. Everything she felt about Letty, Brian, Dom's situation, she felt everything finally leave her as she sobbed.
"It's not, honey." Mia kissed her cousin's head. "Everything's going to be just fine. Shhhh." Mia said, as Y/n hiccuped.
The youngest Toretto felt a sense of deja vu. She remember herself crying herself to sleep as she laid herself on her cousin's chest. She remember Y/n threading her hands soothingly through her hair, humming some lullaby they used to sing together.
"I need to go for a walk." Y/n said. She quickly grabbed a hoodie, pulling it over her head. Y/n was always good at this. Moving from one emotion to another. It gave most people whiplash by how fast she could do it.
"Y/n--" Mia sighed, feeling helpless, as Y/n left.
Y/n walked about a few blocks before going back. Walking at night wasn't for favorite, but she needed to leave for just a bit. All those memories, all those thoughts of life before, made her feel suffocated, lonely, helpless.
Y/n caught sight of Dom, Monty, and Brian in the garage, hanging over Dom's charger. Brian's eyes met hers. He could see the sadness and disappointment swimming in them. The sadness and disappointment he made. They held it for just a moment before she tucked her hands into her hoodie and walked into the house.
He quickly went after her, needing to make things right. He wanted her, needed her. He could hear her sniffles and pants of frustration as she made herself a cup of tea.
"Hey." he said softly, turning her towards him. He brushed his fingertips along her smooth cheek. His hand trailed to the back of her head, pulling her into a kiss.
She couldn't help but calm down. She felt everything leave her body, everything around her wasn't existent anymore, it was only her and him. She couldn't believe he was the thing she needed. The thing that screwed everything up, helped bring everything back together.
They pulled away, looking at each other with so much love an adoration. Y/n then wrapped her arms around his shoulders, pulling back into a kiss. This one a little more chilling, a little more hot.
Brian's hands wondered her body, exploring the person he's longed for for so long. His hands wondered down, lifting her up onto the counter, pushing anything that was in the way, as their tongues explored each other.
Y/n pulled his head back, making him look at her with concern. "Is everything okay?" he asked.
"Yeah." Y/n whispered, her eyes not leaving his face. "I just wanna move this to my room."
She gave him one more excited peck before hopping off the counter. She took his hand, leading him through the house and upstairs to her room.
As soon as they crossed the threshold, Brian's body was pushed against the door, Y/n's hands exploring it as she put her lips back onto his. Y/n helped push off his grey zip-up and shirt, leaving his top bare.
After a few moments of making out against the door, Brian softly pushed her back, leading her to her already messy bed.
Y/n fell back with a giggle, making Brian smile as he climb on top of her. He leaned down, kissing her neck softly.
"Brian," Y/n let out a soft moan, making his confidence and his dick grow.
"Shh." Brian said, pulling back just a moment. "Don't want anyone hearing us, right?"
"Don't stop, please." Y/n whispered.
"Wasn't planning on it, babe." Brian said, leaning back to help pull off her hoodie, t-shirt, and bra. "God, you're beautiful." he said, his lips going back to her skin. His head trailed down, stopping here and there to suck in hickeys.
He pulled back again to help pull off her jeans before going in and leaving marks on her thighs. Brian trailed up. Y/n placed a hand over her mouth as he placed a few kisses on her clothed clit. He then hooked a finger on underwear and pulled it down, leaving her completely naked.
"Is this okay?" Brian asked, his blue eyes trailing up her body before connecting with her eyes. "Can I continue?"
"Yes. Please."
Brian didn't need to be told again as he didn't waste a moment before going in. Y/n bit her lip, trying as hard as she could to not be loud as he licked and sucked her pussy.
Y/n tried dating a few times, and even hooked up with a few but nobody could ever compare to Brian. The feeling he gave her as he went down on her has never ever surfaced when she was with anyone else.
Soon, Y/n felt a warm feeling pool in her stomach as her thighs started to shake. Brian groaned as he felt her thighs clench around his head. The vibrations of his mouth, sent her over the edge. Y/n bit her lip hard, on the brink of breaking skin, making sure she didn't make any noises to attract anyone in the house. She let out a shaky sigh, feeling herself calm down, as Brian kissed back up her body until meeting her lips once more.
"Is it your turn now?" Y/n asked, giving him a smile, as she trailed her hand down his naked torso.
"Not tonight, baby, I just wanna focus on you." he said, giving her a kiss behind her ear, as he unbuckled his belt.
Monty and Mia were already saying their goodbyes to Dom when Y/n and Brian made it outside.
"How do you say good-bye to your only brother?" Mia said.
"You don't." Dom answered. Mia nodded slightly. "Come here."
Dom pulled Mia into a hug. He gave her temple a kiss as Brian wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her into his side. Once they pulled away, Dom looked over Mia's shoulder.
"Come here." He opened his arms, welcoming Y/n into them. She smiled walking out of Brian's arms and into her cousin's. He kissed the side of her head, just like Mia.
Once they said their finally goodbyes, Brian and Dom got into their cars before speeding away.

xiii. truth will out
Y/n was hungover to say the least. She woke up the next morning regretting everything she did the night before. She's never had a worse headache in her entire life, but she had to go on with it.
Y/n sighed, walking through the door of her home. "Home, sweet, home." she said to herself, groaning as she laid down on the couch. Her peace was interrupted as her phone started to ring. She groaned, now in annoyance, as she dug through her pants pocket for her phone.
"Hello." she said, annoyed.
"Y/n," Brian's voice went through the phone.
"Brain--"
"Dom got shot."
"Wait? Huh?"
"Dom got shot."
Once the initial shock wore off, Y/n said, "Where are you?"
Brian sent her the address before she was off towards their location. Soon, she pulled up to a small hut-like home.
She knocked a few times before the door opened, "This your way of keeping me away from him?" Y/n said, raising her eyebrows in question as she walked past Brian.
"He was asking for you. He said you knew what to do." Brian answered, walking behind her.
"Yeah." Y/n let out a humorless laugh. "I've done this one too many times."
"You're a real dumbass you know." Y/n said, as she took off the bandage to Dom's wound.
"Yeah, I know." Dom mumbled.
"Bullet's not in there." Y/n realized, inspecting it. She walked over to her bag and started rummaging through it. "Gonna clean it, and stitch it up."
"Yeah, yeah, we've been through this." Dom said, trying to hurry her up. "Just get it over with."
"Don't rush me, sir." Y/n sassed walking back behind him. "Or I'll leave it to infect you. Now, this is gonna hurt."
"I bet you're gonna enjoy this."
"Oh, man, I've been waiting for this for a while." Y/n smirked.
After Y/n was done, Brian ordered take out. Y/n insisted she leave but Brian practically begged her to stay. Or at least that's how she wanted to think.
"Uh, Dom, what are you doing?" Y/n said, as he took a bite. Dom gave her a confused look. "You reached first. You say grace."
Dom gave her and Brian an amused look, now remembering the rule. Y/n and Brian bowed their heads, Brian's smile not leaving his face as Dom started.
"Thank you, lord," he said. "For blessing this table...."
"With food..." Y/n helped him. "....and family...and friendship."
Brian's smile then finally faltered.
After supper, Y/n went to the kitchen to clean the dishes. Dom was off somewhere in the house as Brian came into the kitchen. Y/n didn't realize he was there until he started talking.
"I'm getting major deja vu, right now." he said, making her jump.
"Yeah, how so?" she said, her eyes not leaving the dishes.
"Well," Brian said, walking up beside her, grabbing a towel to dry the clean dishes. "this one time, I had dinner with the most beautiful women and her family..." Y/n's mouth tried to smile but she refused for it to happen. "...After we were done, her family went to watch a movie in the living room, leaving her to clean after. When I was growing up, the cook didn't clean up after, the people eating the food did. But here she was, taking the time out of her day to do someone else's job.
"As much as she tried to shoo me off, I still stayed and helped her. I had to, I wanted to. I would do as much as I could to be with her. God, my mind raced as I thought of the perfect way to ask her out on a date. But, she asked me something that just led me to it." Y/n listened with now a smile on her face as she handed him the last plate. "I then asked her. But she shot be down, saying she didn't date her cousin's friends. I was trying to beg her, almost on my knees. I made her laugh until this ape-looking man she called her friend came walking in."
Y/n snorted at what he called Vince, making her quickly cover her mouth with her hand.
"He insulted me, which triggered something in her. She finally said yes to the date. Probably just to get back at her friend for what he said, but I didn't care much, I just scored a date with most beautiful, perfect woman I had the pleasure of being in the same room as." Brian smiled dreamily, as he recited the day he finally had the balls to ask her out.
"I think I've heard that story before." Y/n said, walking closer to him, trying to bite back her smile.
"Yeah?" Brian drifted closer to her, glancing down at her perfect lips.
"Yeah," Y/n whispered. She didn't realize they were that close, until she felt his warm breathe on her face. "I think I heard it, but I just can't remember when..."
Brian's humor faltered as her body was just inches from his. "Remember when you asked me why I let Dom go?" Y/n hummed, remembering. "I think it's because at that moment...I respected him more than I did myself." Brian looked down at his feet, before his blue eyes went back to her. "One thing I learned from Dom is that...nothin' really matters unless you have a code."
"What's your code?" Y/n mumbled.
"I'm workin' on it." Brian said. As much as she resisted it, Y/n leaned forward. She wanted, no, craved him. His touch, his taste, him. That's all she wanted....no needed at this one moment.
Her needs were just about met when his phone started ringing, bringing her back into reality.
She cleared her throat, "Sorry. I don't know--" she stopped herself when she saw the concerned look on his face, as he looked at the name on his phone. "Are you okay?"
"Oh, shit." Brian said, as he heard a drop from the other room.
"When were you gonna tell me?" Dom said in a shockingly calm manner.
"Dom, what are you doing?" Y/n said as Dom came closer to them.
"When were you gonna tell me you were runnin' Letty?" Dom said, a little angry.
"Let me explain." Brian said, trying to calm him.
"When were you gonna--" Dom cut himself off by throwing Brian into a shelving unit, breaking it and the glass wear all together. He then picked Brian up by his shirt and pushed him into the wall, his hands wrapping themselves around his throat. Y/n begged for him to stop but he continued, his anger fueling his feral behavior.
"You don't understand." Brian wheezed out, trying to push him away.
"I don't understand?" Dom said, his voice calm again. Brian broke away but Dom caught him, throwing him onto the ground. He got on top of the blonde, throwing punches.
"Dom, stop it!" Y/n yelled. "Please!"
Brian locked his legs around Dom's neck but the eldest Toretto picked Brian up and slammed him back in his spot, unlocking the blonde's legs.
"She did it for you, Dom!" Brian yelled, just before Dom threw another punch. "She did it for you." Dom stopped himself, waiting to hear more, his anger still seeping out from him. "Letty came to me to clear your name in exchange for bringing down Braga." Brian panted, wiping his now bleeding nose. The air was thick with tension, as Y/n's eyes sparkled with tears. "She just wanted you to come home!"
Dom paused, looking towards his cousin. His face relaxed a bit as he saw the fear and sadness in her eyes. He turned and walked away, not wanting to cause her any more pain, though he felt more himself.
"I'm sorry, Dom!" Brian kicked the leg of his table, angry with himself. "I'm sorry!"

xii. the club
Y/n decided to go out with a few of her friends. She needed it after the shitty few weeks she's had. After bar hopping for a couple hours, the girls decided to go to this one exclusive club her friend, Adrian, frequently went to.
Y/n followed the herd of girls, laughing and drunkenly giggling. Y/n wasn't drunk but she was a buzzed enough to feel a bit happier than before. The girls danced and talked happily, but soon enough, Y/n was left alone as her friends were whisked away by random men.
Y/n stood in the corner, sipping on her strong mixed drink as she just people watched. But soon, her eyes fell on a familiar man, playing pool in the other corner of the room.
"You're gonna miss." Y/n said, walking towards him. Brian looked up at her, still bent a bit, ready to shoot. "You're aiming too far to the left."
"I have been playing pool a long time, I think I can handle it."
"Oh, yeah," Y/n gestured to the table. "Go on then. Shoot it."
Brian looked back towards his ball, and shot it. As Y/n said, the ball just bounced off the edge of the table. Brian stood up with a beautiful smile on his face.
"I see you aren't mad at me anymore." he said, walking closer to him.
"Oh, I'm still pissed, but I'm drunk enough to not be right now." Y/n said, chest to chest with him now. The sight of her cousin walking past them, made Y/n realize what she was doing. She moved back, clearing her throat. "Um, sorry, I'm gonna go get another drink."
She walked over to her cousin and said, "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Nothing, what the hell are you doing here?" Dom said.
"I told you not to get involved." Y/n said. "To let it go."
"When have I ever listened to you?" Dom retorted making Y/n roll her eyes.
"It too bad about Dwight." Brian said, walking up behind her. "Havin' the feds raid your house the same night you make the team. That's unfortunate."
"I wish I could say I was surprised to see you here." Dom said. "What's to stop someone from tellin' them you're a cop?"
"Probably the same thing that's keeping me from tellin' 'em why you're really here." Brian retorted.
"What up, fellas?" a short man came up behind them, patting them both on their shoulders.
"Hey, how you doin'?" Brian said, dabbing the man up.
"Great. I see you're having a good time." The man looked Y/n up and down.
"Yeah, a great time." Brian glanced at her with a smile.
"Come on. Let's have a better time." the man said. "You can even bring the lady."
Brian stood up, taking Y/n's hand and leading her behind the man, Dom following closely behind. Y/n rolled her eyes and swiftly removed her hand, not wanting to feel those stupid butterflies she got in her stomach.
"How's your car?" the man asked Brian, as he sat down in a rounded seat. "You too a nasty bump."
"It'll be ready."
"Sweetheart, you don't have to stand, please have a seat." the man said, upon seeing Y/n standing there. The side Dom was sitting on didn't have any room so she was kind of forced to beside Brian. "Hey, Julio, get the pretty lady a drink."
"Yes, sir." one of his henchman said, before going off. Damn this man was powerful. Y/n thought, her eyebrows scrunching.
"I also heard you just got out of County." the man said to Brian.
"Yeah?" Dom said, grinning.
"Mm-hm." Brian said.
"You know a guy named Jim Garcia."
"Nah." Brian shook his head, knowing what Dom was trying to do. "Big place. Lots of names, lots of faces."
"And you -- you're wanted by a lot of people, homes." the man said to Dom.
"Man, that kinda heat can't be good for business." Brian said.
"Yeah, well, that depends on how you look at things." Dom said Brian. "I go down, I do time. I do real time." he added before continuing, looking at the man. "but when I see flashing lights in my mirror, I don't stop."
The man leaned back, looking between the two men, "Do you know each other?" he asked, gesturing between the two.
"He used to date my cousin." Dom replied, making said woman tense.
The man grinned, upon seeing the woman's gesture. "You the cousin?"
"Yeah." Y/n said, her voice confident.
"You're a lucky man." the man said to Brian. "She's beautiful."
"I know." Brian said, glancing towards her.
"I surprised you're still breathing." the man then raised a shot. "To the ladies we've loved and the ladies we've lost. Salud."
Y/n looked towards Dom. Veins popped out on his forehead. She could sense that he was angry as she seen his jaw clench. Y/n then realized. This man had something to do with Letty's death.
"So, what's Braga about?" Brian asked, after sitting his now empty shot glass down.
"You know, he's just one of us." the man said. "Came up from the streets. Down for el barrio. Now he's a shot caller. The boss of bosses. See all these cats in here? Any one of 'em would die for Braga."
"Including you?" Brian questioned.
the man gave Brian a serious look, "Especially me." A man walked up behind him and whispered something into the man's ear. "Enjoy the party, fellas. Club's yours. Whatever you want -- booze, broads -- it's all good." the man said as he got up from his seat and walked away.
"Braga's mine." Brian said. "I'm taking the whole house down."
"Good luck." Dom said, as girls swarmed him.
"I wanna help." Y/n said. Dom gave her a look that almost shut her down but she insisted. "She was my friend too. My best friend. I'm gonna help whether you like it or not."
"No, your not ." Dom said, getting up from his seat and walked through the crowd. Y/n got up from her spot and went after him. She tried looking for him but completely lost him.
"Y/n!" one of her friends exclaimed. "There you are, come on. Dance with me."
Y/n looked around, trying to find a glimpse of him. Finally, her search was over when her friend started dragging her to the dance floor where she remained the rest of the night.
I know I haven’t been updating much. I have been super super busy with school and extracurricular activities but I will post soon.
Most of the time I post on Wattpad first. That’s where I write it, and then I transfer it over to here. So if you want to read the chapters of a certain book then it’s most likely already posted there.

xi. guilt
"Straight ahead." Y/n said softly as both her and Dom got out of the car. Y/n tried hard to convince Dom not to go but his persistence said otherwise.
Dom didn't say a word, he just walked forwards onto the road, and stood there silently. He imagined what had happened during that tragic night.
He looked down tracing the tire marks with his eyes. He then walked over to a spot on the ground and crouched, touching the pavement. He stood back up straight and stared for a moment.
He still said nothing as he turned and walked back towards the car.
"You found something back there, didn't you?" Y/n asked as Dom stopped alongside the road.
"There were burn marks on the ground." Dom informed her, gripping the wheel. "The kind that could only be caused by nitrometh. There's only one guy in all of LA that sells that."
"Nothing is gonna bring her back, Dom." Y/n said, looking over at him, sadly. "If I were Letty, I would ask you--No, I would beg you, please, let this go. I've already lost two people, Dom, I can't lose another. Don't even think about me, think about Mia. Can you imagine what she'd feel if she lost one of the only people she has left? Just please let it go, before it's too late."
Dom looked at her and then said, "It's already too late."
"I love you, Dominic." Y/n gave him a small smile. She gave him a kiss on the cheek before she finally exited the car. As she walked away, Dom made a u-turn and sped down the road.
When she finally made it to her house, she was greeted by two agents getting out of their car.
"Miss. Torretto. I'm Michael Stasiak, FBI." the shorter man greeted, pulling out his badge and holding it up for her to see. "Let's you and I have a little chat."
Y/n, not wanting to have any problems, agreed.
"I already told you, I haven't seen him in years." she said as calmly as possible. She was tired, hungry and most of all annoyed.
"Bullshit. Where's Toretto?" Stasiak spat, getting more angry by the second. Over the past few hours, he'd gotten the same answer and, by the Toretto stubbornness and persistence running through her veins, she wasn't going to change her answer.
"You're gonna have to be a little more specific." Y/n said, smartly. "I mean there are three of us, man."
"Don't act dumb. Dominic Toretto. Where is he?"
"Like I said before, I don't know. He could quite literally could be dead in a ditch and I wouldn't know." Y/n shrugged, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.
"I need something." Stasiak said, getting frustrated. "You oughta go out with Penning, 'cause right now you're making me look like a fool. Okay?"
"Why are you saying that like you didn't look like a fool to begin with?" Y/n said, blankly.
"What is gonna be?" the officer continued, trying to ignore the comment, but by the redness of his face, Y/n knew it was really hard for him. "Is Dom in town?"
"Dude, do I gotta spell it out for you?" Y/n said, getting more angry by the second. "I. Don't. Know. I haven't seen him in years."
All of a sudden, the phone rang. And before Y/n knew it, Stasiak was walking out of the room, adjusting his tie along the way, leaving Y/n and another officer that didn't really talk much.
"Hey, Tyler, we got a transfer." Y/n heard a voice that made her feel even more angry. She just continued to look out of the wall of windows, digging her nails into her arms to prevent her from lashing out. "You wanna come with me?"
"What if I said no?" Y/n said, looking at him with her eyes squinted in irritation. It was hard for her to not let her eyes rank his suited body. It look incredibly hot, though he could be wearing a sheet and he'd still look sexy.
"You seriously wanna stay here with Stasiak." Brian raised his eyebrow.
That was the one that could've broken Y/n's stubbornness, so she went.
"I'm almost done." Y/n said, glancing down at her tea cup, as her and Brian sat in silence. After Y/n agreed to go with him, he driven her a local diner, claiming he needed to speak with her. He, however, had said absolutely nothing. "Are you gonna speak or are you just gonna waste more of my time?"
Brian glanced away from her for a hot second. "You know they're gonna capture Dom." he said, his face blank. "Maybe worse."
Y/n huffed out an unbelieving chuckle, "Of course you just dragged me here to try and get me to squeal."
"I'm not just talking about Dom, Y/n." Brian denied. "I don't want you gettin' tangled up in this, so stay away from him."
"The last time I checked my dad was six feet under, so why are you acting like him?" Y/n said, squinting her eyes at him. "And that's seriously, what you have to say to me after five god damn years? All of a sudden to care?"
"I never stopped." Brian mumbled, not being able to look at her. "What I did was wrong. I'm sorry. It was--It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, believe me."
Y/n let out a breathy scoff, "I'm sorry too, Brian. I'm so sorry that you had to come into my home and pretend to love me. I'm so sorry that you ripped my family apart. I'm very sorry that was hard for you."
"I lied to you." Brian said, blankly. "I lied to Dom. I lied to everybody. That's what I do best. That's why the feds recruited me."
Y/n's eyes started to water, but she refused to let him see her sweat. It was so hard seeing him, looking at his handsome face that betrayed her so many years ago. She felt a sense of guilt rise in her. Guilt that was formed by the love she still had for him. Though he betrayed her and her family, she never stopped loving him.
"Maybe you're lying to yourself." Y/n said, after a moment. "Maybe you're not the good guy pretending to be a bad guy. Maybe you're a bad guy pretending to be the good guy. Ever think about that?"
"Everyday." Brian answered. Y/n got out of the booth and started for the door, but before she could reach it, she turned and walked back to the table.
"I always wondered..." she said to him. "Why'd you let him go that day? Why did you let Dom go?"
Brian looked at her with furrowed eyebrows and said, "I don't know." Y/n didn't answer, just turned and walked out the door silently. Brian sighed to himself, feeling the exact same feelings as Y/n. "Shit."

x. electric blue
Five years have passed since that day.
Five years since she lost one of her best friends.
Five years since she last saw Dom, Leon, or Vince.
Five years since she lost the love of her life.
Life's been quiet since then.
Mia graduated college and eventually got a job at the firm she's always wanted to work for. Monty moved in with them as well. It didn't bother Y/n one bit as he was the person who made Mia the happiest. And her happiness is the only thing keeping Y/n alive.
Y/n decided to go back to school, finish up the degree she was majoring in. She eventually graduated and got a job. She was floating, but barley.
But one morning, her life preserve sunk completely.
Y/n was awoken by her phone ringing. She groaned for a moment, annoyed by the sudden wake-up call. She looked and saw it was Mia; her and Monty were in a different state for a work thing. She eventually sighed and answered the phone.
"Hello?" Y/n said with a yawn. She was wide awake once she heard sniffling on the other side of the phone. "Mia? What's wrong?"
"She's gone, Y/n." She sniffled once again. "She's gone."
"Who's gone?" Mia didn't answer right away. "Who, Mia? Who's gone?"
"Letty." Y/n's heart dropped. Tears filled her eyes as she took a shaky breath in.
"How?" she asked.
"She was murdered, Y/n."
"Brothers and sisters," the priest said. "we have gathered here to pay our final respects."
Brian O'Conner stood in the distance, watching the ceremony take place. He looked different. Older. His blonde hair was shorter while he was sporting a little scruff. He stood by the cars, looking at one person in particular. Y/n Toretto.
After five years of longing for her, there she was in all her beauty. She looked as she did when he'd last saw her. Just as beautiful, just as golden as the days he'd visit her in the shop.
One of the other agents slid up beside him and said, "Facial recognition software matched Toretto about ten minutes after he crossed the border." Brian watched as Y/n comforted her younger cousin. "I don't get it. I thought he'd show."
And in that moment, her eyes finally met his.
Y/n couldn't believe it. There he was, in all his glory, standing next to a couple sleek, black cars. His eyes blared into hers, seeing every aspect of heartbreak that was swimming in them.
She was the first one to look away, and it was the first time she'd had the strength to look away from those electric blue eyes.
Mia slept over in Y/n's room. I mean Y/n wasn't complaining. All the girl wanted was comfort from the only family she had at the moment. Eventually, Mia fell asleep with dried tears staining her face. She's been on and off since the funeral earlier that day, and Y/n couldn't blame her.
Y/n eventually got up and started rummaging around the house, cleaning and getting rid of anything that they didn't need.
"Hey." Monty said, coming into the kitchen where Y/n was washing the dishes.
"Hi." Y/n mumbled, glancing over at him.
"How is she?" he asked, knowing Mia was crushed by the fall of their friend.
"She's upset." Y/n replied. "I mean, I don't blame her. Letty was family."
"How are you?" Monty asked, hesitantly. Y/n was so worried about Mia's emotions that she hasn't even gotten to grieve herself. Of course when she got the news, she sobbed but ever since, she's been quiet. She'd busy herself, just wanting to distract herself from reality.
"I'm fine." she shrugged. Monty gave her a look, not believing her one bit. "Seriously, I don't dwell on things too much. I mean of course I'm upset about it, but it's a part of life, things happen, ya know."
"I saw Brian." Monty said, finally after a beat of silence.
"Yeah, me too." Y/n whispered, remembering those blue eyes glaring into hers. She finished the dishes, and started to move towards the table where a box sat. "Uh, I'm gonna take this to the garage."
Monty nodded, worried for his friend. He's never seen her this anxious, frantic even. But he didn't want to push it. He didn't want her to crack.
Y/n walked out of the back door, box in hand, and into the garage. She put the box down on one of the old tables. Suddenly, she heard a rustling from the back of the shed. She turned to see the last person she'd ever thought standing behind her.
"Dom." she mumbled, teary eyed. Y/n then ran towards him, pulling him into a tight hug. "You shouldn't be here. They're staking the place out. If they find you here..."
"They won't." Dom said. "Look at you." Dom pressed a hand onto her cheek. "You're grown up."
"Yeah, you can say that." Y/n's tears finally welled over, streaming down her cheeks.
Dom looked around in silence, soaking up the moment. As he did, he thought of the memories this place holds. The team, his family....Brian. He remembered when he had that conversation about his dad in this place. Dom thought he could trust him but obviously his trust was burned to the ground.
His eyes then fell onto his dad's old challenger. He glanced at Y/n before going over and inspecting it.
"Letty and I wouldn't let them junk it." Y/n commented "When she came back, we'd always be in here. Trying as hard as we can to try and fix it up, ya know. Day and night. It was weird. I think we just knew you'd come back."
"I wanna see the crash site." Dom told her, tears filling his eyes.
He's the worst.... I do love him though.
im sorry.

ix. fallen soldier
Leon and Letty dropped Y/n and Dom off at their house, before speeding off. Mia ran out of the house with Monty behind her. Dom didn't say anything, only just walked to the shed.
"Oh my god. Are you okay?" Mia panicked.
"He's a cop, Mia." Y/n's lip trembled. "He lied to me. His last name isn't even Spilner. He's a cop, Mia."
Mia's heart shattered at the sight of her heartbroken cousin. She wrapped her arms around her before leading her and Monty back into the house.
"It's over, we're done for." Y/n said, sitting down on the couch. Mia rushed around, trying to grab anything of value, before dragging out an old suitcase.
As Mia sped around, Y/n heard people shouting from outside. She moved and looked out the living room window to see Brian and Dom pointing guns at each other.
"Move your car." Dom said, cocking his shotgun as Y/n crossed the threshold of the house.
"Dom, stop it! It's over! Please." Y/n pleaded with him.
"Y/n, stay out of it!" Dom shouted back. "Move the--"
The sound of a car speed down the street cut him off. It skid to a stop in front of the house. It was Jesse and the Jetta. He got out of it, rambling on and on. "Dominic, I am so sorry." he said. "I don't know what I'm doing, Dom. I'm so scared right now. I don't know what's going on."
Dom threw the gun onto the ground, but Brian still pointed his at the eldest Toretto. "Jess!" Dom shouted. "What were you thinking, man?"
"What's going on?" Mia asked, coming outside with Monty behind her.
"Mia, go inside!" Dom demanded. "Take Y/n with you!"
"I don't know." Jesse said. "I panicked. I'm sorry. I'm scared, please help me." Dom's head snapped to the side at the sound of motorcycles. "I don't know what I'm doing. Will you please help me?"
As soon as the motorcycle men were close enough, they started shooting. Everyone got down as they drove by.
As the bullets rained, Y/n had a flashback. She could hear her parents'screams as the bullets hit into them. She could feel broken glass rain onto her as the glass window of the car busted. "Mama! Papa!" she heard her young self shout.
She came back once the motorcyclists were gone.
"Jesse?" Y/n felt tears fill her eyes as she saw her friend lying on the ground. "Jesse!" she shouted, running down the steps. Dom held onto his fallen friend as Y/n fell onto her knees beside them.
"No, Jesse!" Mia sobbed, falling on her knees beside her cousin. Brian jumped into his car and started to drive after Johnny and Lance. Dom jumped up, quickly, and ran towards his car.
"Dom, don't!" Mia shouted.
"Dominic!" Y/n yelled at him. Their shouts were no use, though, as Dom got into his car and sped off after Brian.
After a while, police and an ambulance showed up at the scene. They took Jesse away in a body bag, a scene Y/n wished she didn't see just yet.
Sobs finally racked through Y/n's body, she fell to the ground, feeling her whole world fall apart at the seams. She wanted her mom, she wanted her dad, but out of all of them she wished she had Brian.
The Brian that she knew before all this Race Wars shit. The Brian who'd come into the shop everyday to eat the same old shitty tuna sandwich just to see her. The Brian who made her feel like she was the only beautiful woman in the world. She just wished she'd have him back, but she knew he was long gone.

viii. betrayal
Later that night, people forgot about the whole fight thing and now were partying. Brian walked through the crowd and towards the trailer, where he thought Y/n would be hanging out in.
He opened the door, calling her name but she wasn't there. Suddenly, he heard her shouting from outside.
"I have respected you and I haven't said shit," she said, as he peaked out. He saw Mia, Monty, and Leon, leaning against Vince's car. "And now I am asking you not to go."
"Y/n, I'm doing this for us." Dom said, glancing at Mia. "For all of us."
"No, don't give me that shit." Y/n spat, backing away. "You're doing this for you."
"Why are you asking me to stay?" Dom walked towards her making her step back.
"Why are you insisting on doing this? Dom, please, just don't." Y/n sighs in frustration, tears flooding her eyes as Mia tries to calm her down. She pushed her hands off and stocked away.
"Y/n, what's going on?" Brian asked, coming up behind her.
"What?" Y/n said, as calmly as she could.
"You know what I'm talking about."
"No, I don't, Brian."
"Oh, so what, you always have tears in your eyes when Dom drives away?" Brian asked, frustrated.
"What is the matter with you?" Y/n asked, getting a little pissed.
"Come on." Brian said, his voice getting louder. "What's your cousin racing off in the middle of the night for?! I'm talking about the trucks. You know about the trucks?!"
"No, Brian!" Y/n yelled back. "What trucks?! Jesus Christ." Brian grabbed onto her arm, stopping her. "What?"
"Listen to me." Brian said, trying to keep himself calm. "Y/n, I'm a cop."
Y/n mouth parted in shock, as her eyebrows furrowed. "What are you talking about, Brian? What is this?"
"Ever since the first time I met you, I've been undercover." Brian explained. "I'm a cop."
Y/n looked into his eyes, praying, wishing even, to find a sliver of a lie in them but she saw none. "Oh, you bastard." she whispered, her voice full of fury. She clenched her teeth and started to walk away. Brian tried to catch her by the arm again but she just pushed him away. "Get off of me, Brian!"
"Y/n, listen to me!" he said, catching her flailing arms by the wrists. His heart clenched as the look of betrayal was painted all across her face. "Everything I said about you was real. I swear to god. You have to believe me, Y/n. But right now, this isn't about you and me. Your cousin's out there and he's about to pull a job and we're running out of time.
"Those truckers, they're not laying down anymore. And you know, maybe they'll make it out tonight, but every single law enforcement agency in California's coming down on 'em. If you don't want anything to happen to your Dom, to Letty, to Leon, to Vince...to Mia," Y/n face fell, worried, as tears filled her eyes.
"You have to just get in that car with me right now. You have to help me. Y/n, you are the only person that can help me right now. Please, Y/n." Y/n looked down at the ground for a moment, thinking long and hard. "Please, help me."
"Civics are stashed somewhere outside of Thermal." Y/n informed, looking down at the had in her hand as Brian sped down the road.
"And they wouldn't double back, and Highway 10's just way too well patrolled." Brian replied. "So, what does that leave us with then?"
"That leaves us with all of this." Y/n said. Brian looked down at the map before reaching for his phone. He dialed a number before pressing it up to his ear.
"Yeah, this is officer Brian O'Conner." he said, making Y/n look at him astounded. "Serial number 34762. I need a cell phone trace. Y/n, what's the cell number?" Y/n looked away from him, blinking more tears away. God, can this dude just tell the truth for once, Y/n thought. "Come on, Y/n. She needs Dom's cell phone number now."
She held out her hand, letting Brian drop the phone into her palm. Y/n placed it up to her ear, looking back at Brian. With a shaky voice, she started listing off the numbers, "323-555-6439."
Brian could tell Y/n was angry but he couldn't resolve it just yet, not until they were done with all of this. "Thank you." he said as she dropped the phone back into his hand. He placed the phone back up to his ear. "Yeah, you get that?"
After a few minutes, the phone started to ring once again. "Yeah." Brian answered. After a few seconds, he hung up and grabbed the map from her hands. "Let me see this." He glanced from the road to the map a few times. "All right, I think we're about 40 miles away."
"What are you gonna do?" Y/n asked, worried for her friends and family. When he didn't answer, she repeated herself. "What are you gonna do?"
Brian didn't answer, he just sped down the road with a determined look in his eyes.
They soon reached northbound 86. Down the road, Y/n noticed a black car parked alongside it. She then saw two figures running out from the brush beside the car. She felt her breath quicken as they went faster and soon they saw the semi-truck and a black car racing beside it.
The black car stopped but Brian sped faster, pulling up beside the truck. There Y/n saw Vince hanging from the side, his arm caught in a thread of wire while a fresh bullet wound dripped from his side.
She helped Brian quickly pop the roof off the car. "Here." he said. "Take the wheel."
"What?!" Y/n shouted.
"Take the wheel!" he repeated. "Put your foot on the gas. I'm gonna get him. Put your foot on the gas."
"Okay, okay!" Y/n shouted, leaning over and placing her foot on the gas as he let her take control of the car from the passenger seat. He stood up from his seat, saying, "Come on. Keep it steady."
"Okay, got it!" This was probably the craziest thing Y/n has ever done but she kept her composure as much as she could as Brian crouched on the frame of the door.
"Hey, he's having a hard time holding on!" he shouted. "Get me a little closer!"
"Alright." As directed, Y/n drifted a little closer to the truck.
"Closer!"
"Moving in!"
"Hold it right there!"
"Go!" Once Y/n shouted, Brian threw himself onto the side of the truck. Y/n slipped into the driver's seat once she saw Brian "safely" on the side of the truck. He shouted commands at Vince after he got his arm free. Brian picked him up and held him close to his body.
"Y/n, come a little closer!" Overwhelmed by the moment, Y/n didn't obey. "Y/n, get closer!" She finally snapped out of it before she drifted closer once again. "Come on! Come on, Vince! Here we go!"
Suddenly, Vince was thrown on top of the car. He weakly slid into the passenger seat, holding onto his bleeding side.
Y/n heard a gunshot ripple as Brian jumped onto the car. He gripped onto the windshield as the truck rammed into the side. Y/n lost control of the car, making it skid to a halt on the side of the dusty road.
"Holy shit." Y/n mumbled as she breathed in and out, deeply.
Brian slid off the road, grabbing onto Y/n's face to look for any injuries. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Brian said, urgently, but Y/n shook her head, unable to speak from the amount of shock she was in.
The sound of Vince groaning brought her back. "Oh, god, no." Y/n got out of the car, and helped Brian drag him out of the passenger seat and onto the tall brush. Not long after, one of the black cars containing Leon, Letty, and Dom skid to a halt on the side of the road. Dom and Leon got out but Dom was the only one that walked down to check him.
"Come on, Vince!" Brain shouted, as he wrapped his belt around his bleeding arm. "Hang in there. Come on!"
Dom fell to his knees beside him, moving Y/n out of the way. "If we don't get him an ambulance in ten minutes, he's dead."
"Hold this." Brian said, pulling Y/n's hand closer to the belt to hold it in place. "Just like that. Don't let go. Hold his arm."
"Vince!" Y/n began to panic as Dom held pressure onto the bullet wound.
Brian pulled out his phone and put it up to his ear. "Yeah. Yeah, this is officer Brian O'Conner." Dom looked at who he thought was his friend with a betrayed look. Brian held eye contact with Dom as he continued. "I'm off-duty L.A.P.D. I need a Life Flight roll out right away. My 20 is, uh, Highway 86, mile marker 147."
Brian held his phone with his shoulder, as he grabbed onto Vince's arm once again. "I got one trauma victim, about 24 years of age. Six feet, maybe 200 pounds." Dom gritted his teeth in anger. "He's got a real deep laceration to his right arm with arterial bleeding."
Dom looked towards his cousin, but the look on her face made him stay silent. "He's gotta -- a shotgun wound. Close range to his left flank. Yeah. Yeah, and he's going into shock." Brian hung up and went back to aiding Vince.
Y/n sighed in relief when she saw the helicopter come into view. They strapped Vince onto a stretcher and quickly moved him to the helicopter. Brian helped the EMT's load him into the copter.
Dom looked at Y/n before walking off towards his car. Y/n looked between Brian and Dom, conflicted on which she should choose. Dom shouted for her to get into the car. And with one last glance at Brian, she obeyed.
