Fanmade PaleoPines Concept Art

I put my interpretation of Estemmenosuchus in the PaleoPines art style. Doing style study. It's very cute and I like dinosaurs...

Estemmenosuchus isn't a dinosaur technically but I do enjoy how cute it looks here. Little baby. Since its a mount, it would have Waterer farm skill and Diver? 👀 Maybe? Look how sweet he is, Little hippo lad. You can't tell him no.

His favorite food? ermm.... probably Fragrant. He seems like he'd enjoy blueberries and watermelons. Definately would be slow. A waddler if you will.

Serendipaceratops Arthurcclarkei

"Serendipitous Horned Face... Arthur Clark"

I know most dinosaur nerds would say that this is an ankylosaur in appearance and not a ceratops. However its naming convention comes from the debate of the species that has persisted since discovery in the 1990s. When it was first discovered it was given this name as they believed it (the only bone we have being the forearm bone) belonged to an early ceratopsian similar to leptoceratops... But then others came along and said things like, "Ceratops aren't even found in Australia" and "That actually looks like a member of the Ankylosaur family*" and so its classification is all speculative until we are able to uncover more like it. 

It's species name (arthurcclarkei) is in reference to the author of 2001: A Space Oddity, As he is a (allegedly) a dinosaur nerd and the guy who named the dinosaur is a fan (or friend) to the guy. So that's cool. Its fun to get creative with a design like this. Normally I want to try and make fun and bold takes on crests/mating displays a dinosaur could have, but with how speculative this design already is, I didn't want to push too far with what I was already pulling out my butt hole. :)

For those curious, I used a european pine marten as the color inspiration as it had existed in a region we theorize was similar to a coniferous forest. Plus I like the bold orange. *The bone closest resembles that of Minmi! A cute little parankylosaur.

Estemmenosuchus Mirabilis

"Marvelous Crowned Crocodile"

My next little project for my paleoart was Estemmenosuchus Mirabilis. It is arguably one of the two species of the Estemmenosuchus genus, the other being Uralensis.

E. Mirabilis was the smaller of the two species, but wielded a more impressive crown of horns atop its head. In my art I had really pushed for that crown to be larger, taking inspiration from moose and their horns, as I was always dissatisfied with the routes other people took. These would often lead E. Mirabilis to look like it had a set of testicles on either sides of its head.

All around, I just wanted to really give my take on a look that was more appealing to what could be an attractive boy.

Oviraptor Philoceratops

"Egg thief that likes Ceratops"

This is what the scientific name of the original Oviraptor meant. But it couldn't be further from the truth. I did some digging and research to create my vision of what this dinosaur could have looked like.

They didn't steal eggs. This notion came from the fact that many Oviraptor fossils were found in close proximity, or on top of, to what were assumed to be protoceratops nests. However years later when a cousin of the Oviraptor, The citipati, was found to have eggs that looked uncannily similar to protoceratops. They had realized what happened.

I took inspirations of the colors here from the Macqueen Bustard, a bird that lives in the Gobi Desert today in similar conditions to that of the Oviraptor with some additional features. I'm a strong defender of extravagant features on dinosaurs for mating displays and so it has fun feathers that its unfurls for such displays.

This is my dip into trying something like paleoart. If theres any criticism or additional facts, Feel free to comment :) I love dinosaurs

Awful news: I've found the figura mod

I made a custom Spider Centaur model for my funny minecraft guy. This model was heavily referenced using this "Spidertaur" model by Ale! There was no download link but I thought it was the sickest design ever so I did my best to recreate the parts I liked about it and fully animated it (since the original didn't have any animations either).

I wanna personalize it to separate it from the other design more and figure how to make it more customizable and sharing the download. Theres still a lot I'd want to do for it. As of this moment it only has the basic animations for walking, crouching, idle. It has a crouch-walk and sprint animation but those are just brute forced mishmashes of the base 3.
