Old souls love reading by the light of antique lamps - and this piece in the shop right now has all the right things... It's the details that are swoon worthy. Yes, it works. I say skip the shade and just employ Edison bulbs 😍

I did find some really damn good things in the clearance section though so I can't really complain. I am sad that they've replaced the cat body trinket shelf with a generic fat pumpkin head cat instead, but I guess to be fair they did have that for like 5 years going straight. they seem to be going for a magician theme this year, lots of women in boxes with swords or rearranged with their torso box on top of their head box or whatever.
there were cute throw pillows with astrological signs (the Aries ram looked pretty good for once) but for $27 after sale price/tax and hearing about several AI generated designs popping up in hobby decor lately I would rather hold off on that. maybe for five bucks but not at a base price of 29.99 if it's not even particularly comfortable to lean on.
overall, I'm looking to get into this cryptid/oddities art fair if they end up doing it again this year and I found some wood pieces to do skeletons and stuff on, and some supplies for the dioramas that I still haven't managed to finish (including a flocking kit! I have been looking for a reasonably priced one on and off for going on 10+ years now! even if it only works for one tiny dinky little project I am so fucking happy because I can finally get that mini diorama done after it's being sitting on the shelf for 12 years looking finished but technically only half of the way done from my original vision for it)
↑ a couple of pieces I would probably get if they went to like 60-80% off but not right now at the current discount since that's still means nearly 30 bucks a pop. the bird coffin would especially be nice since I have a small articulated skeleton as well as a couple of [LEGAL TO OWN IN MY STATE/COUNTRY, LEGALLY PURCHASED FROM TRUSTED LOCAL SUPPLIERS] bird skulls and feet that don't really fit anywhere right now on my display tables and such, and I've been trying to add height to my displays regardless. :V
they had a lot of rubber giant frogs and snakes and like five different variations of black cats, unfortunately no knockoff of the rubber opossum zombie I saw at Spirit Halloween last year, alas. they DID have a freaking resin chinese water deer skull though, which was.... unexpected. :'V

We saw it tonight - I cried 3 times and would have sobbed more, as well as stood and clapped, had it not been in a public theatre. And I don't like theatre! Well, apparently, some theatre hurt me once upon a time because I loved this so much I may see more. GO SEE THIS!
