Also some lore for Berry, and other bat ponies in my personal ver of mlp..I honestly think they deserved so much more in the show

Berry sleeps in hamoc or hanging bed and lives on her own

Shes's nocturnal, and has kinda terrible eye sight. All bat ponies get around with echolocation on a night.

She was orphaned, like many bat ponies, as previously they were driven out of their land by changelings. There was a war, but due to the shifting nature of changelings, they ended up turning on their own kind, thinking they were changelings

Children were sent away to Canterlot, many trained to be guards for Princess Luna (Luna feels empathetic towards them, and is part bat pony herself, her pegasus form being swapped for that of a bat pony

(Night unicorn - Moonicorn, maybe? Idk yet, I feel like it would only be fair for earth ponies and unicorns to also have 'night' versions)

Fruit bats have bright colours and find it hard to camouflage

Carnivorous bats have muted colours that easily blend with the night to make it easier to catch prey, like voles, mice, rats or even insects
