They’ll be the best instruments, promise - Don’t be a suck up, Pete, it’s not a good look

I offered to help with the rice! And all I get in return is images that’ll haunt my nightmares.

I’m game for doing party favours, so long as Sirius doesn’t get bored and wonder off half-way through.

And I suck up to everyone.. it’s a survival mechanism.

P.S. - I made a big dinner yesterday, there’s some leftovers in the fridge, I fed some to the cat already.

P.P.S. - I’m heading into Hogsmeade this afternoon, does anyone need anything?

P.P.P.S. - Give Moody his own hall… that way he’ll be far enough away that I won’t feel like wetting myself throughout the day. How is he so terrifying!?

at this point, darting beneath the swinging branches of the whomping willow is getting easy. the sun hasn’t quite set, yawning rays of gold filtering through the branches as they thump against the ground, always missing you by a hair’s breadth. you laugh, sliding that last few feet and hitting the knot with your foot. it’s easier to let wormtail do it most of the time, but you’re early, all done with your busywork and not wanting to wait.

the tunnel is cool and dark as you leave it behind, the shack as shabby and torn up as ever. you used to hate it, used to turn your eyes away from every nick and scratch, but now your fingers brush fondly over the marks you’ve made. it’s all about perspective, about how loneliness can curdle into hatred and companionship can bring you something close to love.

it will be painful, inevitable, and in the moment it will feel like weakness. but as you sprawl on the ground and feel the rising of the moon, minutes away from taking you away and replacing you with something else, you hear roughhousing in the passageway. raucous teenage laughter gives way to barking, squeaking, grunting, a cacophony of noise that means you aren’t alone.

the others don’t understand why you like school so much, but this school gave you so much more than coursework and exams. it gave you them. it gave you this.

If one were finding themesleves themselves in possession of Free Time within these walls, it would be intelligent ( you heard me ) to Consult Euphemia Potter’s List of Wedding Duties Remaining, reproduced below ( with Notations ).  Or Else.

+ I maintain that any and all items that may or may not have vanished were thoroughly enjoyed and sacrificed for the sake of quality assurance [ they are of high quality, I can assure you - but a second round of testing may be necessary ] + I’m beginning to think that there are multiple cats in this house. It keeps appearing in whatever room I’m in and stares without blinking.
