This isn’t rude at all!

I deleted all my unfinished voltron fics off of AO3 when I left the fandom so I could recycle them into other fandoms if I wanted, since I’d already done the work for them.

6/17/18 UPDATE:

I really don’t like being that person who has to beg people for commissions. I like to think my art is worth at least something and that people can see that. But I haven’t gotten a commission in over two weeks and I’m struggling. 

My mom found out my tuition went up, got mad, and we got in a fight about it because whatever I don’t pay for she has to cover. I’m going to visit my brother in California with virtually no spending money and I was totally okay with that, you know? Just wanted to spend some time with my brother who I literally never see anymore. But my mom got mad about that too and insisted on giving me money for it even though I told her not to, which made her even more bitter about having to cover my tuition expenses.

Look, I’m rambling, but I’m not trying to guilt anyone into commissioning me. But if you could reblog this post, I’d be eternally grateful. Tag it, don’t tag it, delete it after a day or two because it doesn’t match your blog aesthetic, whatever floats your boat. I have maybe 50 followers on any social media and I really, REALLY need the exposure. I need this post to reach people who see my art and think “Hmm, yeah, alright, I like their stuff, I want them to draw something for me.”

If you can’t commission me, even if you wanted to, but still want to help me out, you can donate a dollar or two to my paypal here or my ko-fi here. Really, it helps, but a reblog is all I’m looking for. Please.

Name Your Price Commissions

Hey all! Just to reiterate, my Name Your Price commissions are still open! That means you can pay me as much as you want/can with a general or specific piece you want me to do, and I will put the time/effort into your piece accordingly.

I need about $1700 by the end of the summer and I’ve got barely over $300 with my last paycheck that came through late. Seriously, these will be open ALL SUMMER because I really do need the money.

I’m not trying to pressure anybody into commissioning me, but if you could reblog this post and maybe tag it “Artists on tumblr” or “art commissions” that would help SO so much.

Hey guys! I’ll be visiting my brother in California for a month (6/20-7/18) and will have PLENTY of time to do commissions during then. I have a multitude of open slots, so if you’re interested then PLEASE DM me.

I saw your tutorial on how to draw hands, is there any method you use to make them look like older hands? all of my older women seem to have the hands of a 20-year-old

Ok well i start off all my tutorials with the golden rule of, reference is your best friend and will teach you far more accurately than I ever will. pull up some pics of old hands just just start sketching.

now here’s a few little pointers i use to when im trying to convey old hands in a sketch

something else to add along with the tendons on the backs of the hands is adding age spots (google refs) they’re very common on people over the age of 50.

hands curl naturally when relaxed but I find old hands are much more reluctant to straighten out in poses compared to younger hands. In some cases due to the way the knuckles have enlarged they cant completely straighten any longer.

i try not to let my hand drawin get to busy, I’ll prioritize gesture over details so often i wont include every single point that i’ve mentioned, rather the best ones for the pose. 

skin starts to loose its elasticity so along with wrinkles, boney landmarks are much more prominent, which makes them easier to draw !!

Summer is here, the semester is done, and as usual I am jobless and need $1700 to pay for next semester.

I’m bringing back the NYP Commissions. Seriously, name your price and I’ll draw you a thing. The more money you’re willing to spend, the more effort and time I’m going to put into your piece. Yes, you can commission me multiple times if you want multiple pieces, or you can commission me all at once and tell me what kind of pieces you want.
