Recycled lanyard clip and some wacky trousers made into a backpack
Scrap curtain lining with Brusho and free machine embroidery. Backing was a Next sample curtain salvaged from the skip.
Old nursery curtains wow matching aprons for dad and son.
300m of bunting from scrap fabric including some from dear departed relatives so they could be there in spirit!
Animation created by Matthias Brown. Source image: Castle Howard Shorthorns by Henry Stafford (1830–1873), Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery, CC BY.
Scrap cushion covers made from Next scrap fabric. These are destined for a life of luxury at Limehouse Marina.
Chocolate wrappers from America cut up, covered in organza, backed with felt then stitched into. Zip applied along one edge and corners squared.
Just a small piece of scrap canvas backed with some fleece and joined with elastic. Some free machine embroidery to finish. And, as a bonus, it actually works! My coffee has never stayed hotter.
Yet another excuse for not posting any scrap bags lately. Watercolour of the quay at Tobermory on Arches paper as dictated by teacher.
No scrap was used in the creation of this painting but I thought I'd post it as a way of explaining my lack of scrap bag posts. It's a watercolour on Arches 300gsm paper and is A4 size. It's found a home in Tooting!
Blackberries and a tote bag made from some deckchair fabric. It's not going to wear out in my lifetime!
Had a very enjoyable evening at Little Heath Barn screen printing a scarf and a few test prints.
Yippeeeeee!!!! Look what I won!
And to think it was as the result of a little exercise in paper piecing. Well, I suppose I had better get on and make something so that I can offer the beautiful threads some gainful employment.
Latest duffle bag made from recycled curtains.
Merchant and Mills pattern duffle bag from scraps of real oilcloth, upholstery fabric and wool tartan. I managed to salvage the clip from an old suit bag but had to buy the eyelets and sash cord so this is not a truly 100% scrap bag but it’s pretty close!
