tbh it kinda bugs me when people insinuate that rook should've stayed in savanaclaw? i think people mostly say that because they think savanaclaw rook is pretty but like.

in savanaclaw, rook was isolated, getting constantly cast aside by his classmates for being considered weird. not to mention he had essentially no inkling of self care, meaning that he wasn't properly taking care of things like his nails, hair and skin (him constantly getting sunburns like that was also super dangerous, hopefully vil encouraged him to ATLEAST go see a dermatologist at one point)

he's genuinely much happier and healthier in pomefiore just overall. he's accepted by his dormmates, is much closer to the person he loves and wants to help (vil), and because of vil's assistance, he's able to properly take care of himself now. i dislike when people imply that the current version of rook is "ugly" now that he's changed, (you're free to not like a design all you want), but you can't discredit that change as being somehow bad or negative narratively just because you don't like how it looks.

plus rook's bob is cute idc what anyone says (his base live2d just makes it look a bit odd, it looks so good in his cards)
