gale is drunk by the time the countdown nears the time to kiss, but not drunk enough to keep him from your lips. he tastes of beer as he kisses you, hard, before pulling away to cheer in the new year.
finnick is decked out in glitter and those silly glasses with the year on it, and as the countdown proceeds, he is jumping up and down in excitement, pulling you closer with each number, giggling as he finally connects your lips.
