No wonder the little man's butt is so red! Sunbathing at Luste Silkscreen studio #walkingstories artwork by Krista MiltiĆa
The last T-shirts from our first edition and finally the new edition hanging out together in Mauerpark, Berlin! (at Berlin, Germany)
WALKING STORIES T-shirts are getting ready to walk together 8 new comic artists and illustrators - Mindaugas Jakas, Isabella Bersellini, Maarja Jullinen, JustÄ UrbonaviÄiĆ«tÄ, Linda Ķivule, A.Bran, Gonçalo Duarte and Oskar Kingsley.
Our plan is to turn a small snowball into an amazing avalanche and starting from the next edition we want to be able to provide a fair cut from the sales to all collaborating artists. With this campaign we aim to give the project a kick by gaining a support for the prodoction costs - fabric, sewing and printing for a larger edition.
Yet to start this evolution, we need your support on our crowd-funding campaign - here!
By supporting the project you not only give, but also get - all kind of cool things like T-shirts with the new designs, handmade leporello note books and gym bags and other fabulous stuff.
WALKING STORIES are getting ready to walk!
In other words â Luste edition #2 is ready to take off, featuring new cut for the shirts and 8 new artists from different countries, yet to start the flight, we need your support! Check our Indiegogo page here!

Hello!Â
We are happy to announce the re-launch of the Luste Edition T-shirt project âWalking Storiesâ- a collection of finely designed screen-printed t-shirts showcasing the work of local and international illustrators and comic artists. More info here.
Submission deadline -> 13.03.16
So far you have been introduced with 6 of 7 Luste edition nr. 1 artists â as the 7th, please greet Krista MiltiĆa!
âSo, about me - I am from Latvia, but for a year now I am living and studying in Denmark. I have graduated Janis Rozentals Riga Art high â school, but when I was studying art, I didn't draw much in my free time. Now, when I don't need to do anything creative at school, I am drawing a lot. I have always been bad with words, so with my drawings I can say everything what is on my mind.
About the illustration...it is a quite old one, I drew it before moving to Denmark. Then my characters were a bit different. I remember that this was one of those illustrations which I draw just with one line, without any sketches and it was already done.â
And here is KOESTOPH!
Hi, I`m Christoph Koester, formerly known as KOESTOPH, a Berlin based freelance illustrator. I like hand drawn stuff like zines and weird comics - best hand printed! It's always great for me to collaborate with inspiring and talented people!Â
The character shown on my shirt came to life pretty unintended. First his shape was just representing the background of a little illustrated scenery⊠and now he's on stage!
Please greet Kinga from Poland!
My name is Kinga Janiak. I'm a painter and illustrator based in Warsaw (Poland). I graduated the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and have been publishing my works on web and taking part in exhibitions and artistic entertainment projects since 2007.
The work on T-shirt is an improvisation. It's my favourite method of working and that is the way I usually start my works. It's very inspiring for me, because I let my imagination work and never really know what it will create and how the final effect will look like.
Meet David Cristobal from Milan â author of the âwood kidâ!
I was born in Madrid in 1979. I studied at the Fine University of Madrid. I decided to become a teacher in a primary school, and stopped painting for quite a long time... Four years ago, I moved to Milan and fell in love and since then I went back to the arts....
ItÂŽs part of the series called "Wood People", trying to represent the human condition with an open and clear metaphor. The âwood kidâ is facing contradictions of our society and, in a wider sense, of our lifestyle...! Sometimes rotten, sometimes shining, sometimes nice, sometimes dark...
Anna Grozavu from Romania â another Luste Edition #1 illustrator we want to introduce you with!
I`m 18 years old, living in Piatra Neamt - a small city located in north-east of Romania. I have recently graduated high-school. I am a newcomer in art scene. While I work I try to experiment as much as I can and I`m interested in mixing different techniques.
Today is the day we would like you to get acquainted with Fricis Kalvelis from Latvia â another author of a Luste Edition #1 shirt!
âI live in MÄrupe and study Product design in Art Academy of Latvia. I have noticed I like moving and creating, but I don't really know who am I.
About the design of the shirt - I created this face while playing around in a 3d modeling software. This work shows a connection.â
One by one we want to introduce you with the talented artists of Luste edition # 1 â I hope you like it. To be more precise, they will introduce themselves. As the first one â the witty and colourful Eva Stalinski from Netherlands:
âHi! My name is Eva Stalinski and Iâm a 4th year illustration student from the Netherlands. Groningen to be exact. My passions include hanging out with my dog and sister, eating candy and drawing naked ladies (sometimes I draw other stuff too).
This shirt design combines a few of the things I love: naked ladies, bright colors and screenprinting. Iâm very excited that my Space Girls are part of this cool project and I hope you all like them too!â
