Of course only youâd be in this damn predicament, you had rushed in the morning running all over the place and left but you forgot something that was pretty damn important
Your building and house keys, now you were sitting on the steps of the building waiting to see if for some reason one of your neighbors would have the idea to go in or out but to no avail
It was pretty late and most of your neighbors were adults who had a pretty tight schedule and would most likely be in bed by this time, but some headlights caught your attention, you knew that car
âQue haces?â Esteban was now standing in front of you after stopping his car and walking over to you, it was embarrassing, âolvide mis llavesâ you said, embarrassment written all over your face and he sighed a soft small smile appearing on his face âaye nena, ven vamosâ he was about to walk to his car but stopped in his tracks when he noticed you werenât following

You looked at his face and you felt slightly unsure but seeing how it looked like he genuinely wanted to help you, how he looked worried you couldnât just leave him like that and so you nodded âbueno esta bien, pero seguro que no te molesto?â You asked and he shook his head a satisfied smile on his lips âvamos amorâ he stood up his hand held out for you which you took, he took your bag from you his hand placed on the small of your back as he led you to the car
He opened the door for you as always and made sure you were secure inside the car before closing the door, you had relaxed your body went from uncomfortable and cold to the complete opposite, he turned on the heater and closed the windows, and he placed his hand on your knee sliding up to your thigh his hand going back and forth in a warming and comforting manner but you couldnât help but feel warm with the contact.
The drive to his place was so calming that you almost fell asleep, âllegamos amorâ his voice snapped you back to reality and you watched as he walked around the car to open your door for you, you looked up at the taller and bigger building where he lived, âvente amor, esta demasiado frĂo para tiâ he said waiting at the entrance door with the door wide open, you had entered and followed him into the elevator, you two alone in there was a normal feeling considering how close you both had gotten these past few weeks, however you considered it bold when you rested your head on his shoulder and you got a good reaction to it, he pressed a kiss to the top of your head his lips stayed on you until the ding and elevator doors opened
He extended his hand for yours before he continued to walk and you put your hand in his, he once again led the way to his apartment door, he let go of your hand for a moment to unlock the door and he waited for you to enter first, his home was very cozy and homey looking the smell that hit was more of a cinnamon like smell and the air freshener you spotted and some candles he owned were what confirmed that, the sounds of a meow however caught your attention and you looked over where Esteban held a black fluffy cat who seemed at peace in his arms making you smile as a soft chuckle escaped your lips
âEs nena or nene?â You asked walking closer and he looked adoringly at the cat ânena, Ella se llama luna o lunitaâ he scratched the cat as she purred âpuedo?â You asked not wanting to pet the cat without his permission and he nodded âclaroâ you fingers went to comfortably scratch behind her ears as she purred leaning into your touch
âEs una hermosa gatitaâ you smiled looking down at the cat as Estebanâs eyes admired you, you were so admirable and beautiful he couldnât divert his eyes anywhere else, âdebes de estar cansada, ven amorâ he had led you to where you believed his room was and it was neat and nice looking his bed looked comfortable but you didnât know what exactly the sleeping arrangements were
He looked through his closet pulling out a t-shirt and handing it to you, âpara que puedes dormir cĂłmoda, ahĂ esta el baño para que te puedes cambiarâ he pointed to the door right in his room and you nodded a small thank you escaping your lips before you walked in, you sighed locking the door and sliding off your clothes and sliding on the oversized shirt which smelled exactly like him
You folded your own clothes and opened the door, he looked at you a smile he couldnât hide appeared on your lips as you grinned âcĂłmoda?â He asked and you nodded placing your clothes down on the dresser âte puedes dormir aquĂ y yo me acuesto en la sofĂĄâ you felt bad âno yo puedo dormir en la sofĂĄ no te preocupesâ you protested but he gave you a look âno amor, esta muy frĂo y aquĂ esta mĂĄs calientito y cĂłmodoâ you didnât approve of the fact that you would take up his bed
âBueno ven porque tengo sueñoâ you said and he followed to adjust some pillows in the bed and the blankets so you both could lay comfortably, you both laid down and he was going to put a pillow boarder âsi no quieres no tenemos que poner la almohadaâ you said and he had never thrown something to the end of the bed quicker, you adjusted yourself to turn your back to him and closed your eyes and you were out
Throughout the night you slight tossed and turned but it didnât bother Esteban, he could sleep through anything really. The next day you woke up to a warm little figure beside you, you lazily smiled seeing Lunita beside you curled up in a comfortable position, but looking over your shoulder you feel a chest pressed against your back and your eyes widened
âQuieres comer algo?â He asked and you sat up tilting your head âsi, un pocoâ he stretched making you smile before he stood up âbueno vamos nenaâ you sighed getting up from the bed and following him, you had seen him move to set up his coffee maker and then he opened the fridge while you had enough confidence to sit on his kitchen counter and in a few seconds it began to smell like fresh coffee âsabes que, te voy hacer el avena especial de Estebanâ he said with a playful smile and you giggled rolling your eyes âbueno aver como sabeâ you sighed
He gave you a mug with coffee and you smiled thanking him blowing on the hot liquid before taking a sip, he cooked the oatmeal adding a splash of milk and some cinnamon, you watched him work on it while sipping on your coffee and Lunita jumped up on the counter curling into your crossed legs purring as you petted her fur âhermosas las dosâ he said making you grow warm and pink with a smile on your lips
âListoâ he set the oatmeal with various fruits next to you and you picked up the bowl smiling as you took a spoonful into your mouth and he awaited your reaction or thoughts on the oatmeal he made âesto es el mejor avena que habĂa probado en la vidaâ you said with a smile on your lips as you took another bite and he smiled proudly ây eso ya lo sabiaâ he said and you rolled your eyes chuckling at his words
After breakfast you realized maybe it was time to go home, you needed to do some things and hopefully find some people still leaving the building so you could finally enter to your apartment building so Esteban offered to take you home and you took it âlista?â He asked, you stayed in the comfort of the clothing he gave you to sleep in and you had your neatly folded clothes in your arms and your bag over your shoulder âsi, listaâ you confirmed and you bent over giving Lunita a couple head and behind the ear scratches before leaving the apartment following after Esteban, he walked you both out of the apartment building and like always he opened the car door for you and closing it for you
The drive was calm and the cars passing you and people walking amongst the streets were the sounds filling your ears, finally pulling up to the front of your apartment building he walked around the car opening your door, you stood in front of him and his arms wrapped around you comfortingly as he rested his chin at the top of your head, you realized any of your other professors or classmates may see you both but you didnât really care at the moment or ever really
âTe veo, cuĂdateâ he said and you looked up at him nodding âsi, si graciasâ you smiled and he nodded a small kiss at the top of your head âbueno amor dale entraâ he leaned against his car waiting for you to enter and perfect timing a man was exiting the building leaving you time to enter, he sighed a small smile on his lips as he watched you go before walking back to the drivers seat of his car, you entered your apartment and put your stuff down seeing your keys on the counter making you chuckle dryly âhijo de putaâ you shook your head grabbing a hold of the keys, maybe there was a reason you left them.

It had been a few weeks since you and Esteban had basically spent the whole day together and since then you both were more close, that should be the way to describe it, he would bring you breakfast in the mornings and you would bring him coffee and a treat, he would send you emails to make sure you were okay with the lessons and that you werenât stressed in any way
He would also make sure you were okay at work offering to bring you lunch on your breaks which you accepted gratefully since you were tired of the small breads from the coffee shop, your relationship had progressed from the beginning and it made you happy.
âBuenos Diasâ you smiled putting the coffee cup down on his desk before taking a sip of your own âBuenos dias amorâ amor, a new nickname that you adored âque haces?â You asked leaning on the edge of his desk, ânomas unos papelesâ he sighed then he gave you a plastic bag, breakfast âes un burrito con huevo, tocino, y quesoâ he said as he flipped through some of the papers and you hummed peeling down half of the foil and taking a bite
âY esto?â You pulled up a yellow folder and he carefully took it from your hands throwing it in a drawer ânada amor nada importanteâ he said a small smile on his lips and you gave him a pointed look âmentirosoâ you mumbled taking a bite of the burrito, he laughed âyo mentiroso?â He asked amused making you nod as you sipped the coffee

Once clocked in there was no such thing as a break or slowing down, you were at the register or serving people their orders.

the little kitten he adored and you couldn't help but smile every time he mentioned her "Esta bien, en casa dormida como siempre" he smiled at the thought "Yo la quiero conocer" you said and he smiled "Pronto la vas a conocer, te va amar" he assured you making you smile as you sighed âaye no sabes el sueno que tengoâ you sighed
âY no puedes salir temprano?â He asked you shook your head âluego no me pagan bienâ you said and he sighed his fingers making their way through your hair in a soothing way making you close your eyes for a moment âbueno cuando te recojo puedes dormir en el carroâ he said and you nodded eyes still closed
But it did not last since your phone let out a loud alarm making you jump slightly and you realized your lunch was pretty much over âya tengo que regresarâ you groaned and he frowned a little âesta bien amor, te recojo entoncesâ you nodded and he helped you pick up
After he left you were back to work, it seemed like time went slow when you worked, you werenât complaining too much since it was more pay but still it was draining nonetheless
Once your long shift was actually over you had picked up and tidied up the shop before pulling off your apron and hanging it up, you grabbed your stuff and the small paper bag which held a chocolate croissant that you couldnât bare to throw away and locked up
Esteban was already in front of the shop waiting and he hopped out of the car ready to open the door for you which you thanked him for with a smile, a rule he had given you which was never to open your own door
He got back in and the car was so warm and the seat was comfortable for someone who was up on their feet for 9 hours âquieres algo?â He asked and you shook your head âno gracias, quiero ir a casaâ you opened the bag ripping a piece of the croissant, after having a bite you ripped off another piece holding it in front of Estebanâs lips as he opened his mouth allowing you to pop it in
âEsta bueno?â You asked he nodded âmuy buenoâ he confirmed. The drive home wasnât too far so you both didnât always get much time together but some time was still treasured time. Esteban got off the car once more opening the door for you, you sighed standing in front of him, pretty close too
âGracias por traier me a casaâ you smiled and he looked at you in an admiring way a smile on his lips as he sighed âde nada amor, recuerda lo que sea para mi alumna favoritaâ you chuckled your cheeks tinting red and you looked down at your shoes âmĂrameâ he said in almost a slight demanding yet calm and soft tone, you looked up but not without feeling that tingling warmth in your belly
âCuĂdate amor, por favor y duerme bien, vale?â You could not form words right away so you nodded âvaleâ you finally let out softly and he nodded his arms wrapped around you and you didnât expect it, but you took it and let your arms wrap around his torso and what you both didnât realize was that you inhaled one anotherâs scent, he smelled of cologne, mint gum, and cigarettes and you smelled like the comforting smell of coffee and your perfume
Finally you both pulled away after a moment and his fingers brushed the loose strands of hair away from your face, âbueno amor, ve y descansa te veo mañanaâ you nodded âbuenas nochesâ you said barley above a whisper before you began to walk away and make your way inside the building, you saw him get into his car once he saw you were inside and you got into the elevator your heart pounding
You both never were that physically close and it was the best feeling ever but it was also the most nerve wrecking feeling as well, you set your things down once you entered your apartment and got to thinking about it all, your head was racing and your heart was still beating fast. Meanwhile Esteban was as happy as can be, heâs sure he can make you his, he knows it.
