———– ( ☾ ) “I could pick Noona up a long time ago, she just never let me,” Joseph teased, tightening his grip around her body to keep her up properly. He listens carefully to what she has to say, noticing her pauses and easily noticing how affected she was with the death. The fact that she as a doctor couldn’t save a child - and he wondered how much that weighed on her heart. If it was equivilant to how much the death’s he’s seen and caused weighed on his own. “Well, maybe she’s up in heaven with the other angels practicing medicine, noona. You can’t save everyone …” his words trailed for a moment and he sucks in a deep breath, “No matter how much you want to, you just can’t and - well … you just try your best. And they will know. They will always know.”
———– ( ☾ ) She hiccuped, feeling the weight of the alcohol take a toll on her system. At this point, she was sure that she was going to regret this when she woke up (if she ever would) the next day. Despite her grogginess and drunkenness, she could still hear Joseph clearly. Perhaps it was their proximity. “I have legs. You didn’t have to pick me up.” She argued even though her legs would most definitely give up on her if she ever tried walking home. She laughed at his attempt of consoling her. She appreciated the gesture, but she knew that death happened a lot. She shouldn’t let herself get too affected. “I did try my best. Yah, Joseph, how was work? How long were you gone this time huh? I almost forgot your face.” She said, a hand releasing its grip from around his shoulder to pat his cheek.
