Louis could hear the sound of chopping and stirring get louder as he walked towards the kitchen. He had a thought that has been bothering him for months now. Walking into the kitchen, he found his mother stirring some sort of stew that she was probably trying to make for them that night while his father was chopping green onions. “Maman, Papa. Can I ask you something?” He asked them with a look of fear on his face. His mother turned around and looked at her son, noting the look on his face. “Yes son.” His father asked, finishing up the last of the green onions. Louis stood there for a few seconds, his mouth too dry to even talk. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. His parents both wore a concerned on their face, wondering what was wrong with their child. “‘Are you okay?”His mother asked him. Louis sighed softly and stared down at the ground. “Would you still love me if I were gay?” He didn’t bother to even look at them, scared of rejection. Bill and Fleur glanced at each other for a few seconds before a small knowing smile formed on both of their faces. “We will love you no matter what.” Louis’ head shot up immediately, staring at them in disbelief. Bill and Fleur just stared at him and gave him a smile. “Je T’aime.” Fleur reassured him. Bill nodded his head. “I love you.” Louis’ eyes goes from his mother back to his father before smiling to himself. “I love you too.”
