A breathy chuckle passed his lips and he decided to play along with the assumption, but of course in a humorous way. “I guess you’ll have to follow me into the dark to find out.” he tilted his head down, neck almost touching his chest, as if to give her his best villainous expression. Picking up his jacket from the bar stool, he followed Lara outside, finding himself surprised as to how someone so tiny could move so lively and fast. Once they were outside, he purposely lifted himself on his tiptoes to tower even further over her, only to make a joke about her height “How does it feel to see the world from down under? What is it that we ordinary people are missing?”

Lara could only laugh at his little roleplay, and turned to make her way outside. She realised once she'd decided she needed to get outside, that it was all she really wanted to do. And so she was glad when Elias had suggested so. Pulling her jacket around her, she turned to find him looking down on her, and she rolled her eyes. "Another chance to take me out if you aren't careful." She replied playfully. "Being small is great, don't knock me for it. Anyway, aren't we supposed to be going to the park?"

Logan sighs, not really waning to start a fight or anything. “Well, I’ll leave you to it then. I hope your day gets better.”

Lara laughed, a short and yet highly unamused laugh. It wasn't meant to be mean, she was simply baffled; she thought they were at least friends, not just co-workers. Friends didn't walk away if they thought something was bothering the other, right? Perhaps Lara was asking too much. "Seriously, Logan."

“Ow, hey!” She slightly rubbed her arm, though she was fully joking. Rolling her eyes as she took a sip form her drink, she placed the glass down and gave the girl a real hard look. “No guy would be scared of taking a girl like you out, I bet ten dollars he gets your number before the night is over.”

The girl listened to her after she offered the bet, and Lara took another look at the bartender who was busy with some other customers. She supposed he simply answered her question with a yes, because it was polite. "A bet? Alright, you're on. What if he asks for your number, instead?"

Lara hadn't intended on dragging Archer with her to go dress shopping, not knowing him for long at all. But after being stood up on her first blind-date she would make sure as hell she looked good for this one. It being tonight, she knew she needed to take the time to do something productive instead of sit at home and worry.

Feeling terrible for making him wait outside, she needed a guy's opinion before she actually bought such a dress. Lara wandered out of the changing rooms to where he was waiting and held out her arms. "So?" She questioned, biting down on her lip. "If it's awful, just be honest. I can take it. Maybe."

"You know me so well." Lara replied with a gentle laugh. "--but it's just me eating my feelings, right?" She queried, raising an eyebrow.

“But there’s no harm in asking, is there?” Aviana took a long sip from her own drink before the bartender returned. “Hey-hey, quick question,” Her thumb pointed towards the girl sitting next to her before she spoke again. “You think she’s cute? You know, in the ‘I would totally go on a date with her’ kind of way?” The bartender kind of laughed at first, obviously taken off guard by her, though he nodded his head yes before having to walk away. Looking towards her, she shrugged. “See, I told you, no harm. Could have you a date right there.”

Lara was taking a long sip of her drink as the other spoke, and she had no time to answer or stop her unless she'd like to choke. Smiling out of awkwardness, she bit down on her lower lip, before fake punching her in the arm once he'd walked away. "Are you kidding? Poor guy's probably more scared, than turned on at the idea of taking me out." She laughed, shaking her head.

“If your date hasn’t shown up in at least twenty minutes you can consider it being stood up,” Maya replies, shifting her chair around so she wasn’t looking over her shoulder. “Want me to join you so things aren’t so awkward? Or do you want me to play wing woman and find you a new date?”

Lara leant back in her own chair for a moment, shaking her head at herself. She genuinely thought the guy might show up, and she almost hated herself for it. "Joining me would be cool, yeah. I think a last minute pity date would just be plain awkward." She joked.

                                “Yeah,” Libby said and chuckled. “I know how to make you love me, or make you less mad when I’m running late,” she corrected, scrunching up her nose in amusement. Libby knew now that she would’ve definitely never survived coming back to Atlanta if it hadn’t been for the few friends she had here; Lara included. She was fun and easy to be around, and she had a kind heart, evident by her job and how much it meant to her. As much as it sometimes saddened Libby to listen to her talk about it, it also inspired her a great deal. “Oh god, seven years old— poor girl. I hope she’ll be okay…” She smiled a little sadly, but tried to stay optimistic. “Yeah, thank you, Lara.” She smiled gratefully. “But yeah, it’s pretty much all I’ve been doing. I might have a job coming up soon, so I’m excited about that though.”

"A bit of both." Lara chuckled, looking over towards her friend. She'd missed her, in the time that she was away. Nowadays, it seemed like the brunette was sociable with anyone and everyone she met, and yet she knew she only had a few real friends. Those who she trusted, went to whenever she had a problem. Libby was one of them, and losing her for a little while was like losing a small but handy limb. "I think she'll be fine. She's the sweetest little thing, so optimistic." She smiled, fondness evident for her. Her family was amazingly supportive, and she truly loved having them in visiting hours, however much she wished they weren't having to be there in the first place. "A job? No way. Where for, that's insane!"

“An hour?” Isobel echoed and then laughed. “Yeah, we’re definitely all judging you. Thankfully I was too busy crowd watching, but that’s quite sad. I think it’s time you admit that he’s not coming, or she, or they.”

"Oh, he's definitely not coming." Lara turned back towards her glass of wine, before taking a large sip. She'd pretty much given up after half an hour, but her odd bout of optimism had made her stay longer. "Date's are stupid anyway." She mentioned, like a child.

“I don’t think I believe in everything that involves that kind of thing but I think Karma is real.” It wasn’t much of a saying to her as it felt much more comfortable to be able to blame the bad shit on something. “You get what you give, and I’ve given a lot of shit — probably like most people.”

"I like to think that karma's real." Lara replied with a smile - knowing that her old best friend had afterwards cheated on her ex with another, had made her incredibly happy once he'd cheated on her. Karma, for his hurtful actions. "Maybe it's karma, maybe it's just a bit of bad luck." She shrugged.

"Why would I be upset?" Lara smiled. "Just a small inconvenience, I have more shoes in my locker."

"Dancing?" Lara scoffed, a simple roll of her eyes expressing her feelings towards the suggestion. "Why make a fool of myself trying to dance with two left feet, when we can drink instead?" She chuckled lightly.

It had seem like the weeks of rain plaguing the city had left Calvin to stay indoors. He would’ve had cabin fever if it wasn’t for the promise that sunlight would eventually come back. And once it did, the boy had spent the entire couple of days outside with Winnie. It was refreshing before the threat of rain once again loomed over them. But being indoors wasn’t entirely too bad if you had some good friends and something good on the television. Lara had gotten close to him, something he wasn’t entirely planning on happening, but maybe it was because she reminded him of a time he lost years before. So when her voice rang throughout the apartment, he held a smile that only seemed to come around when he was with friends. “I feel like you should make that a thing so I don’t need to shell out money in keeping that cabinet over there stocked up.” Calvin had been lounging on the couch, Winnie by his side until she entered the apartment and had started sniffing Lara before jumping up. The pup made it over before he did. “I was just thinking about ordering some Chinese. You want some?” 

Though they hadn't seen each other in some small time, LAra blamed herself for such; her days had been spent in the children's hospital, working endlessly and tirelessly as means of both occupying herself and loving what she was doing. "Keep dreaming, Rogers." She chuckled, smiling and kneeling down to greet Winnie. She'd missed his dog almost as much as she'd missed him. "Is that even a question? I'm starved." Chuckling, she stood up once more and wandered over towards his kitchen. "I figure wine first, beer later." She mostly told him as she reached up to his cabinets to grab the wine glasses, pouring them a glass each.
