Well, that was certainly a surprise. At least he could sort of tell she wasn’t lying. He had a knack for that, he supposed. But still…seeing Palkia after all this time was surprising. 

"Oh, hi!" he exclaimed, his eyes a bit wide. He…was honestly not sure what to say. "It’s, um…it’s been a while."

     "Indeed it has been. How have you been, as of late? I haven't been able to keep an eye on you." She'd been busy with this and that, keeping an eye on potentially dangerous situations. "I realize I never properly thanked you for that day. So... er, thanks."

     "What do I do? I... err... repair things. I repair... unova's train... thingies. Yeah." That was an awkward mess, but it had to count for something "They don't always need me on hand, so I like to wander around!"

Irene turned around and faced the pink-haired lady. 'Not really…? Eternia Forest's close to where I live, after all.' There was this air of authority around the stranger, but she dismissed it. 'Are you from around here too?'

     "Around here? Err... in a sense, I suppose." It was actually hard for Palkia to place her home in any one given area. She'd probably say she was 'from' a pocket dimension she slept inside. "Sorry if that answer doesn't make sense."

That greeting implied familiarity. But…Lucas hadn’t met her before, right? Maybe they have, and he didn’t realize? She did seem familiar…hmm. “I’m doing good,” he responded with a polite smile. “How are you?”

     Shit, she always forgot that. People couldn't sense her spacial powers, if they weren't Legends, or at least Pokemon. Well, he was safe to tell, she's pretty sure. "I'm doing fine. Sorry for not properly introducing myself. I'm Palkia, I just... chose a human female form."

"Remember? I… Don’t think I’ve met you before. Anyway, I’m quite fine, thank you. How are you, yourself?"

     "Ah, forget I said anything. I'm doing quite alright. Just sort of wandering here and there until I'm needed next, you know? Bit of this, bit of that."

     A spacial anomaly, huh? Well, it wasn't causing a major imbalance in the workings of the universe, so she'd leave it be for now. "Hey there, are you lost or something?"

     "Ah, it's you." Palkia hadn't seen a Lucas since the whole catastrophe with Galactic back... no, it was best to not think about it. She wasn't sure if this was the Lucas she knew of or not. "How are you doing?"

     "Strange, I don't remember much about you. Something about Carbink and diamonds...? Anyways, hello. How are you?"

   Romantic? How could the two legends be romantic? Questions ran through his mind as he cocked his head slightly to one side. Their powers? Their design? The way they spoke or appeared as humans? Of course none of those were correct.

   Confusion settled in the mind of the time traveler, letting it slowly settle upon his face as he looked towards the woman. Slowly, very slow he shook his head towards her.

       ”Sorry Yumi, I don’t get it….”

     "Gems, John, gems." She taps her fingers on both of her shoulders. Of course, in her human form, that meant nothing. In her dragon form, she'd be touching the very large pearls embedded into her flesh. "Dialga's diamond, in his chest. Palkia's pearls, in her shoulders." She used her name to hope that the alliteration would maybe help him remember it in the future.

     "Ah, I'll stop teasing you. I'm trying to hint at a journal with a large pearl embedded into the cover, bonus points if it has some cheesy poem you wrote on the first page. It'd mean a lot to him. In addition, an ornate pen with a diamond clicker, to sort of represent you. They work best together, so it gives off a romantic message, right?"

   Thinking over the others words he bit his lower lip roughly thinking though everything in his database of a mind. Every time shifting into a collage to try and find the things that the legend had been speaking of; his mind only able to see Yukio, himself and the two deities as fixed beings sitting in the photos.

       ”….Of course…”

   It was almost like the woman’s words allowed him to pin point the chosen things in which she was speaking of. In his and Yukio’s lives they had constantly been in the company of each other and their two patron deities; such wonderful company.

       ”Dialga and You….”

     "Exactly. Now, tell me. Is there anything especially romantic involving us? Hopefully not with each other, but you get what I mean. Things that can be added into many different things." Of course, she was talking about diamonds and pearls, like the ones that were embedded into her's and Dialga's bodies.

     "Think hard, alright? You have all the time you need, because you could probably just freeze time and pace while you think. Don't want to burn too much daylight, right?" She yawned and stretched. This day was promising to be fun, and was bound to be an absolutely adorable story Yukio was going to tell her the next day.

   Giving a soft nod, John let his mind slip through the many things he had given the other through out time. Countless gifts and little trinkets could be seen, flashing up in his mind like a photo had just been taken; he didn’t wish to repeat presents. That was unoriginal and got old very quickly.

   A groan escaped his throat as he opened his eyes to glance to the great dragon, who had taken on the form of a rather curvy and young looking female. Attractive? Yes, but compared to his own pink haired boyfriend she seemed to vanish off into the background of his thoughts.

       ”I guess I could get him something from our home time….Accompanied by a picture that I think he would enjoy….”

   John had never been good at gifts.

       ”Thank you, Yumi, for the help.”

     "Not a bad idea, not bad. Though there was something else I had in mind, so maybe a combination of the two would work. Well, two separate gifts. Believe me, you do not want to worry about over achieving here." Considering Yukio was given an entire pocket dimension to control and everything to set the perfect mood, she wanted him to do the best.

     "Tell me, what's something important to you and him, where the things in question are almost completely connected?" She was, of course, talking about herself and Dialga, their respective deities. She didn't say it out loud, though, so John would have to learn to think like this more often.

   A gasp escaped the man, his head turning quickly to face the beautiful pink haired lady of space. He had never expected to see her of all people, even knowing the time tapestry off by heart he wasn’t able to see tears and rifts that appeared on the mapping, they were always so sudden and only showed up when they were visible, vanishing just as quickly as they had appeared.

       ”M-Miss Pa—”

   He stopped himself from calling her by her name, wondering if she had a human name that she had chosen to go by in its stead. Many legends, including Dialga himself went by an alias, it seemed reasonable.

       ”Yukio speaks of this day in such a manner?”

   His words laced with interest and excitement practically fell from his lips like a waterfall, curious as to what kind of thing she was going to suggest.

     "He tells me everything, you know. I helped him plot out what he's going to do for you, and since I don't think this sort of thing is exactly up Dialga's alley, I figured I'd help you out. If you were as awkward about it as he was, you're going to need it."

     Catching onto why he had stopped saying her name, she waved her hand. "Yeah, I have a fake name, and it's not as painfully obvious as everyone else's. I mean, have you heard them? Anyways, my fake name's Yumi, so go ahead and use that." It had absolutely no link to space, creation, or anything. No one could draw the connection.

     "Now, I should hope you at least have a general idea of what you want to get him? Or will I have to nudge you in the way of the most genius gift imaginable?" Naturally, she had something absolutely perfect in mind, but she wasn't going to just tell him. She wanted to see if he could guess it with some hints.
