Today, @_strbac wanted a cut but @fino4 wasn't available. So I got the appointment. Funny thing is that I cut his brothers hair from time to time. Today, my new client wanted to see how my work was before getting to the shop. When @_strbac opened his @Instagram a picture of his brothers haircut shows up in the popular page. Ironically it was my haircut. He clicks on my Ig and figures out that I would be cutting his hair. Small world! Side note, I literally see when he friends me and click on his link bc I thought it was his brother but didn't friend him back since I didn't recognize him lol ... Moral to this story? Being fully booked, with clients on the waiting list, day in and day out makes it extremely difficult to squeeze people in. It just so happens that yesterday, as a I finished a Signature Cut & Shave, one of my regulars walks in. A week too early for his appointment. Since the scheduling mistake was our fault I decided to squeeze him, in right then and there, to make things right in the universe. After all his birthday was the next day and he was going on a vacation the day after. I also take care of the people that take care of me. I have never been to his club and paid for a table or a bottle. I as walk him to my station I notice that I have 11 minutes until my next appointment. At this point I am visualizing my plan before I even sit him down. Neck strip and cape go on followed by the sanitizing of my tools. With 10 minutes left I start his skin fade. 4 and a half minutes later I am cutting in his hard part as well as lining him up. 6 minutes 29 seconds into his service, his beard is chiseled to perfection. Now time to blend, cut, texture and thin out his hair. 4 scissors and 3 combs later I turn him around to shampoo and condition his hair. Perfect! Blow dried, styled and dusted off with a time elapsed of 10 minutes and 56 seconds. My point, if I had never practiced or prepared myself a very good client would’ve a bad experience. That is something that I pride myself in never doing. Cherry on top I comped his service to apologize for the error and to further wish him a happy birthday!
