She giggled, resting her face on her hands in a coquettish gesture. Did it really matter who she was? The point was she happened upon this poor, unfortunate soul who looked like he’d spent his life up till now sleeping with a group of Garbodor. Never fear, for now she was here, and everything --- everything --- would be okay.

Lucky him.

“Oh honey, nobody had to put me up to anything! Anyone with eyes can so tell your look’s in need of a total update, anyway.” She flicked at a lock of his black hair with a manicured nail and frowned. This was going to be harder than it looked. 

Then again, she did love a challenge.

♞ Who the hell was this? 

♞ Instantly, Umbreon let out a low noise of warning, and Espeon’s tail flared, raising into the air as if signalling danger. Wes stood behind the two of them, and watched as a girl with sickeningly bright pink pigtails left the room just down the hall from them. 

♞ “Or rather, I believe you, are not supposed to be here, correct? Are you aware what facility this is, little girl?”

♞ The two Pokemon with him, were both very nervous and protective of wes, and they stayed directly infront of him. Not only now had they found someone inside of this facility, but she did not seem to take kindly to visitors or strangers. Perhaps she was Cipher…?

Oh. No. He. Didn’t.

She recognized his stupid smug face right away, a blast from the past when she had just entered Cipher as a lowly researcher. Wes. The Snagem member who got away and put a stop to her mentor’s plans, and he was standing right in front of her. She never actually got to fight him at the time, being so busy with her research.

Now that they were face-to-face? It wasn’t as clear.

“Let’s make one thing clear, sweetie.” That sweet voice laced itself with venom as she made her move, striding confidently in his direction. With each step, her hips swayed as she addressed the man.

“I’m right where I’m supposed to be, little boy.”

Disguise | Moros & Lovrina

Moros watched with uncertainty as her entire posture seemed to decompress. He didn’t know what kind of response he’d expected—a bad one, most likely—but this was unanticipated.

“Whatever you want.”

When she smiled, it was bright and relaxed, not forced in the slightest. The sight of it caught him off guard, and the tension in his own shoulders eased somewhat to mirror her.

This was the best reaction he could have hoped for, but Moros remained wary and unsure. “That’s…” He tried to think of something to say that wasn’t entirely useless, then settled for basic pleasantry when that failed. “Thanks,” he said, before starting to walk again in the direction she’d been leading him.

It hadn’t escaped his notice the way her Mimikyu suddenly turned skittish, but Moros wasn’t sure of the cause. He hadn’t raised his voice at any point or made any threatening movements—likewise with Porygon—but ghost-types were odd like that sometimes. No point in dwelling on it.

Instead, he shifted his focus to their destination, thinking over what Lovrina had said about the park’s location. “You’re not from Johto,” he found himself saying. “Where are you from, then?”

The skip in her step was present as always, despite her now relaxed exterior. Then again, it was Lovrina after all; would it really be her without it? The Mimikyu caught up, squeaking and doing its best to keep up, occasionally tripping over its disguise.

“Oh, me?” She blinked innocently, surprised by the observation. He was right, yeah, but how much had he picked up upon? Lovrina wasn’t stupid. Being a criminal didn’t have good things attached to it in normal social circles, and she wasn’t about to let this pretty boy slip through her fingers. Would replying with Orre be too big of a giveaway?

Come to think of it, this Moros guy seemed pretty out of place too.

“Well... why don’t you, like, go first? I don’t think you’re from around here either, Moros.” She turned her head to him, green eyes blinking as innocently as she can manage.

Lovrina had roughly two hours until the police were officially casing the joint for good. All her research, all the work she had put in at Cipher over these past few years? Gone, in the clutches of law enforcement.

She couldn’t have that, now could she?

So back to the Cipher Labs she went, retrieving the last of her intel from her main desktop computer and transferring the files to a USB port on her back. Thankfully, she salvaged most of the info already; this was just the auxiliary details, anything that could easily be traced back to her afterwards. It was going to take a while,  so she might as well find something to pass the time with.

The shuffling of paw steps could be heard close by, followed by the frantic clicking of keys. Lovrina stiffened.

Someone was here.

“Hey! Hey-!” Lovrina got up and stormed out into the hallway, pigtails swishing behind her to and fro. “You’re totally not supposed to be here, you know-!”

She’d get to the bottom of this. She always did.

“I, uh...” Normally, this’d be the part where Lovrina protested over somebody insinuating her vivid pink hair was the work of dye. She’d hiss and spit, unleashing her nastiest of comments. But in this case, with Alice standing right in front of her? Lovrina found she no longer had that spark within her.

“It’s actually, like, totally natural?” She took a pigtail in her hand and combed her fingers through it, the sunlight bouncing off and making it practically sparkle. “I’ve been going to Coiffure Clips or whatever that salon’s called recently for it, but otherwise it’s usually like this!” Even her usually confident and flirtatious giggle carried an edge of awkwardness to it.

Seemed like Alice was just as observant as she was, though, when it came to picking up on other people’s thoughts. Lovrina’d have to make a note of that. “Oh, I’m-! I’m fine, no need to worry here!” Her uncomfortable laughter continued, ending in a cough.

Looks like she might have just met her match. “...Actually, having a soda doesn’t sound so bad.”

so i know this is out of nowhere, but i need some advice, even from a stranger. say someone really insulted you and then you had to see them everyday acting like sugar to everyone else. is it a good idea to get payback or to just ignore it?

“I’m so sorry someone treated you like that!” Lovrina gasped quietly, covering her hands with her mouth. “If I were you, I’d so get revenge on them. Siccing your team on them’s a good idea, but I’ve always been a huge fan of quietly getting your revenge. A hair in their soup here, some rocks in their shoes there…”

She laughed. “Whatever teaches them not to mess with you, nonny!”
