May i request a shadow the hedgehog (movie shadow) x reader where after awhile of being with you after you found him after the cannon incident he finds you upset maybe because its the anniversary of a lived one or pets death and maybe you both talk about each other'sshared experiences with death and become closer than before-
I love this! Thank you for requesting this, anon.
I personally recently lost my grandmother, so I'll write briefly just about a female family member.
Shadow x reader
You've always dreaded this day, even after all these years you can't ever forget about her death. It was so sudden, it seemed so unfair. You always thought if you said something different, would it be different? Would you feel different? Sadly, those questions will forever be unanswered.
It was around 9 in the morning, you sneakily left your shared bed with Shadow and got dressed to take a walk to ease your nerves, walking to a nearby flower field near yours and Shadows house. The morning air was chilly, but not freezing. You finally make it to the field and sit down on the grass, looking up at the sky, lost in your; still, mournfoul thoughts.
Meanwhile, Shadow shortly after you leave, wakes up to an empty bed. Slight panic washes over him as he looks around the house to find you missing, but he also found your favorite outside shoes missing. Therefore he calms down a bit, he knows your favorite spot to sit at outside, so he chaos controls over to the flower field, finding your figure sat in the middle of grass and pretty flowers. He walks over to your wordlessly and sits beside you.
"Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?"
He asks, seeing you staring forward into the abyss.
"Jus' needed to clear my head. Sorry."
You quietly replied, not bothering to look at him.
He again, asks. His tone monotonous, but laced with concern.
"Today's the day I lost a family member of mine. She passed away so suddenly, and since then I can't seem to fully move on."
You finally face him, your eyes make your way to his, as his melt at the sight of your saddened expression, sharing that all too familiar grief.
"I understand.. When i lost Maria it was hard to me to find solace, a purpose, and to get rid of that grief."
He opens up, showing a rare vulnerable side of himself to you.
"Yea.. When i first found out about her death i was a mess. It felt like everything was going against me, like everything was spiraling out of my control. It was.. scary. But i then recieved a necklace of hers. It gave me comfort and allowed me to find comfort and courage to move forward. I miss her everyday though."
You vented, your eyes welling up with tears at then end of the sentence, as you turn away from him, avoiding eye contact.
He scoots closer to you, arm looping around you waist allowing you to put your weight on him and lean on him. Your head makes contact with the fluff of his chest fur. He kisses the top of your head to offer more comfort.
"It's natural you feel that way, my love. For me, the only reason i found a way to move on a bit was thanks to you."
He confesses looking up at the sky now.
"I think she's proud of you."
You softly say, turning to him again to offer a saddened smile.
He offers you no reply, only pulling you closer, the comfortable silence, a testament to your strengthened bond.
There u go! I hope i wrote this the way you wanted me to.
