A singular claw is all it takes to stop Fox from closing the door. Wolf sloooooooowly opens it back up, staring blankly at his sworn rival with his single good eye. What's the matter? Did you really think you could hit Wolf with a low blow and leave unpunished? This is pathetic, Fox. At least your father would've allowed Wolf a chance to swing back.

"I don't spend hours scrubbing the stains outta this suit myself just to hear I don't wash my own clothes." Leather is a tough material. Too delicate for dry-cleaning, too tough for the tumble dryer. Wolf may have his vices, yes, but he wasn't a slob. "Believe it or not, Star Wolf's got one hell of a hygiene policy to keep up with. Spent too much time puttin' up with Pigma's 'natural manly musk' to do otherwise."

Yes, he does the air quotes as he speaks. At least Leon and Panther knew how to look after themselves (though Panther could've done with a little less looking after himself in his personal opinion).

PSA: BELIEVE IT OR NOT, A MUN IS NOT THEIR MUSE.

There has always been a common mantra of mun = / = muse in the roleplay community. It's the simple assertion that "hey, if my muse does something genuinely shitty, I don't condone it!" as well as the captain obvious fact that yes, me and my muse are two separate entities. There are certain hyper-specific scenarios where say, people have self-inserts and such, but that's it's own topic and people are often transparent about being self-inserts regardless.

This is a firm reminder that yes, especially for people who write morally dubious muses, or, gasp, villains, we are not our muses. We write these characters because we want to explore them, but we will not sugar coat our muses for you OR your muse.

If you personally get hurt by my muse being mean to yours, please take a step back. My muse being mean to your muse isn't me, as a writer, writing my hatred for you, or even your muse, in an in-character format. It's me writing my muse accurately, if being like that is their personality. How they are.

If you think a muse is going too far / being too mean, take it with me OOC and I can adjust my reply a bit so your muse can potentially have more room to leave the interaction, but holding resentment towards someone because your muse was put through strife is unfair, and frankly, extremely childish. Communicate with me if my muse goes 'too far' because sadly, I am not a mind-reader.

If you don't like how my muse treats yours, by god, the door is right there. Just like a book, a story without conflict is often a boring story. Treat villain or even just slightly mean muses with some respect, and don't take things personally when your muse is thrown through the wringer. It's fair to get sad over muse developments and such, that's the power of fiction, but don't frame me as someone who kicks puppies like my horrid muse, thank you.

Karik looked serious, to a man who lived a harsh life in Darkland. Along with barely getting much money for his work for Bowser. Each coin was hard earned, Wolf would have to show his strength of will to get Karik’s money.

Karik was totally going to buy, but the battle for the price was real.

Oh, we’re challenging his manhood now huh.

Wolf looks Karik dead in the eye. He knows how this game goes. He’s a mercenary; he’s experienced his own share of dry seasons and has had to haggle before. This song and dance is nothing new.

“Twenty five coins,” he growls.

“That’s it, I’m calling your bluff. There’s no way you’d call your plumber in shining overalls over me trying to make a living here.”

Karik had a feeling this was a scam, but his brother was annoying him for a gift for his birthday. Karik didn’t go gifts well, least he would get him something.

“We’re talking 30 coins here, Karik. Converts to about 50 galactic credits --- and it’s for a good cause.” The Wolfen was in dire need of upgrades if it ever had hopes of competing against Star Fox’s Arwings, but he didn’t want Wario to try undercutting him again if he hiked up the price.

“I’m always up for haggling, but I doubt you can get a copy this affordable anywhere else.”

With a small smile, Ana places the 30 coins in Wolf’s paw, “Here! Now you can buy something, like cookies!”

Admittedly this was supposed to be her piggy bank money but…she wanted her friends to have fun!

Should he really take the full price? Why, he just didn’t know...

Oh well, kid drove a hard bargain and everything - might as well give her what she wanted!

“Alright, kid. Go knock yourself out.” He slides a copy of the game into her hands, grinning ear to ear. “Just remember: if anyone asks, you didn’t buy this from me.”

“Well, it’s a good thing I’m not selling stolen software, isn’t it? These are all real, genuine copies of Mario Party DS. Mr. Nintendo sent them to me himself!”

“I’ll sell it to you for ten coins!”

unpopular opinions meme

Accessibility in video games needs to be more the norm. Say what you will about The Last of Us II, but at the very least they offered a very customizable group of settings to allow disabled people to tailor their experience with the game.

Not every video game, unfortunately, is this good about accessibility. Obviously, Cyberpunk 2077 causing seizures is the big recent mainstream example, but I’m also referring to how Pokémon Sword and Shield hides their volume settings behind a random NPC that you could easily bypass. Heck, most video games don’t even have volume sliders for voices, music, etc-- along with other examples of lack of accessibility.

It’s even worse when you try bringing it up in conversation, and people brush it off in a distressingly callous manner. Disabled people should be allowed to enjoy video games, and they don’t deserve to have their very reasonable concerns on accessibility brushed off just because it doesn’t effect other people.
