Week 2 reflection

I have learned about more tools. in particular i want to find out more about Mehara. i’ve saved the references for digital skills and will aim to read these when i have time. As i want to build up resources for delivering blended learning courses, it’s important to use the tools securely for learners and teachers.

Blended Learning Essentials - W2

i like the pedagogy: constructivism, social constructivism and problem solving. All of these ideas apply to the experiential and refelctive learning for carers which i’m trying to encourage through Talk Reflection. The group ‘manager’ or team leader should be in the role of facilitator: encouraging the carers to post and comment in order to share thoughts, experiences and new ideas. I wonder if using something like Padlet - the wall to which participants can attach other media such as photos or videos, might encourage more participation and active learning? For instance, there are excellent dementia training videos. Carers could look for them and then post them, rather than being given the links.

I wonder if the formal training such as E-learning, could be enhanced through a more interactive medium?
