I've been meaning to respond to it by creating a similar post, but I haven't got the time. No. That's a lie. I had plenty of time. I just didn't have enough level of "mushyness" to post something... "heartfelt" like that.
So anyway, I've been away from those assholes for about two months, since I'm living in abroad now to become a Kung Fu Master gain a higher education. That Kung Fu Master is not entirely wrong tho, because when I graduate I'm gonna be a Master of some sort.
Okay enough rambling.
So yeah, I have these 4 individuals that I call my best friends. Before me and one of them went abroad earlier this year, we used to hang out like almost every weekend, and sometimes on weekdays also, since only one of us have a regular job. We like to go and do weird stuff. Not "that" kind of weird, mind you. Unusual, is probably more fitting here. Anyway, we go to places like the airport just to buy some fried chickens and hang out. We've done the coke+mentos thing. We've burnt down some stuff just for the fun of it. We make stupid videos. We roll down our car windows, and blast out some cheesy boyband/love songs.
We tell each other almost everything. Some deep and emotional shit. And eventually, those things become our inside jokes. I can be the real me with them, become the person I don't think even my family know that I am.
1. He's the guy who wrote that blog I put the link above. I've known him since we were like 4 years old, and maybe even before then. We went to the same school since kindergarten to Jr. High, then we met again in the same Uni, though in different faculties. He's your typical family man. He's dependable, responsible and he always try his best to keep his promises. Out of the 5 of us, he's the only one whom I think knows exactly what he wants for his life, and how to get there. That's why he's the only one who has a real job right now.
But in our friendship, he's kinda like the X factor. No. Not the talent show. When we pick him up to go somewhere, we don't know what we will get that day. Some days, he will be the most cheerful one, with lots of crazy and fun ideas. Some days, he'll just sit back and take pictures. Some days, he can be that fucktard who make fun of everyone, and goes too far. And some days, it's like his mind is somewhere else. He's an enigma.
2. I knew him since kindergarten as well, but we're not best friends until Jr. High, because we were (and still are) crazy about Pokemon. I can talk to him about almost anything, because we like the same things. Video games, TV shows, movies, books, porns, whatever it is, we're bound to have an intersection in a venn diagram of interest. He's a free spirit. He doesn't like to be told what to do. He wants to do his own thing, in his own pace. He's also very creative, and he's the kind of person who would go the extra mile for the people he cares about.
In our friendship, he's the facilitator. When we have ideas about what to do when we hang out, he's the one who usually make things happen and he doesn't ask for anything in return. Well except for some gas money, toll-road money, and the occasional plates of Chicken Katsu Curry. He's like the dad of the group, in a way.
3. She's guy No.2's future children's mother girlfriend. They've been going out for 6 years... maybe ? I lost count, actually. She's the most normal one in our group. When things starting to go out of hand, she's the one who keeps it grounded. She's very caring, and very patient, especially when dealing with our shenanigans and life problems. And since she's the most normal one, she's like our link to the outside world, since us weirdos has our own weird interests and we live in our own world.
Her role in our little gang, is of course, the mother hen. With her maternal qualities I described above, she's more than equipped to deal with 4 mental patients. When we have a dispute about anything, mostly about who has dibs on the last pizza, she's the voice of reason. And when we're down and troubled, she's almost always the one who responds the first to our story in our BBM conference.
4. She was my childhood friend and neighbor, before we started kindergarten. But after that, we never really talked again, since I moved to another house, until we met again at Uni. And because our house are near, we used to carpool when we commuted to Uni, and that's when we became friends again. She's an unusual girl. She's not into what most girls are into. And she's hilariously annoying. Annoying, but hilarious. Get it ? She's kinda hard to explain, because she's... Abstract ?
Now then, because she's such an abstract and annoying person, she almost always becomes our victim of our bullying. But actually she plays an important role here: She's our lightning rod. Because we all can be such fucktards who go too far with our jokes, things might get ugly sometimes. But with our lightning rod, all our jokes and insults can be directed at her, and we know she can take it. Sometimes we feel bad about bullying her, but the next minute, she starts to be annoying again, then we continue the bullying. But despite all that, she's really smart and a very good friend.
All in all, I'm grateful that I have them. I know I can be such an asshole sometimes. Even to them. But they still stuck around and accepted me for who I really am. I've been told several times that I'm lucky to have that kind of friendship. I guess I am.
And you fucktards, I don't know whether you're reading this or not, since you guys don't follow my tumblr like we follow Jong Madure's. But if some cosmic shit happens and you're reading this, well.. I miss you all. I hope to see you all again and we can go to the Airport and get hot Rotiboy buns real soon.
