This here is why I’m so angry. Look at the range of the fires and the size of them. Look at the areas where air quality scales don’t go high enough to describe the health risks cause by how thick the smoke is.

Last I heard, 13000 people have been forced to evacuate Saskatchewan alone.

Our Prime Minister is silent. The army has been called in.

American news outlets are BLAMING us for the smoke, as though we had the audacity to inconvenience them by lighting HALF OUR FUCKING COUNTRY ON FIRE.

Our country is burning and no one seems to care.

This is Bumble. She appears extra clumsy because of her Cerebellar Hypoplasia. It is a non-degenerative condition affecting part of her brain. Foster kitten Dipper makes an appearance too.

Bumble is a 3 month old kitten with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which is a non-degenerative condition that causes balance and coordination issues. She will live a normal cat life, just slightly (adorably) awkwardly. We fostered her through the CRD Animal Shelter as a teeny kitten, then took her back a month later so she could find a family. It was super difficult to leave her, as we had really bonded - everybody, even Mister Bee (our former feral who is afraid of most other cats). Two agonizing weeks passed, and no family came for her. We went back a couple of times to visit her at the shelter, regretting leaving her every time (the shelter and staff are awesome, for the record, I just missed her a lot). Worried that the right home may not come along, a good friend was going to pull her from the shelter and take her home, but asked me if I'd like the chance to adopt her first. We discussed it last night and decided to take the leap.
