“he would not fucking say that!” then put him in a situation that makes him say it, we wanna see him squirm

It's good old fashioned characterization practice when confronted with "he would not fucking say that" to go "under what circumstances WOULD he say that?" And then go "and how would he get into those circumstances?" And boom. You have a MUCH more solid character.

It's also a fun magic trick as a writer to write a guy so well you get people foaming at the mouth on the comments going "HE WOULD NOT SAY THAT BUT HE *DOES* AND IT *MAKES SENSE* FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!!!"

do you ever think about like

when people say "good and evil" or versus or whatever

I mean, evil is worse than bad. It's more bad.

But like

"good" as a word, doesn't have any word to be more good. There's just good, there's nothing better than good???

So there are things worse than bad people, there's evil people

but theres nothing better than good people, i mean you can say "great" but its not the same as "evil"

like whats the symbolism behind that

it's almost like there isn't a way to match up with evil even equally, that theres more evil than good in the world

or something like that
