day 25
Honestly I think the "Deltarune's Dark Worlds are based on Undertale's locations in reverse order" theory still potentially works given that there's six locations in Undertale (Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland, CORE, New Home) and Deltarune has seven chapters. Chapter 5 doesn't really match with Snowdin, but considering that Noelle will probably be a central character in Chapter 6, and that the Dark World will likely be the Holidays' home (I don't think it will be the hospital, since Rudy is probably dead and it wouldn't make sense for him to still be there, plus the whole running gag in Chapter 4 of the trees in the house having flavour text regarding the ability to climb them), I wouldn't be surprised if that drew inspiration from Snowdin, and Chapter 5 is just an outlier.
Especially since, outside the town, Snowdin kinda has a melancholic and, for lack of a better term, empty atmosphere that fits better with Deltarune's confirmed shift towards more serious stuff for Chapters 6 and 7.
The implication that if a darkner fuses with a lightners they'd get a whole ass VN anime Style talksprite, transcending any realm of talksprite that was previously possible
Idk who in the deltarune fandom could use this affirmation but It's perfectly ok to "wait and see" and not have a solid idea yet on how anything will end up, actually You don't have a strong opinion on who the Knight is yet? Or on how any (ANY) character's arc will end up? Or if the direction taken with anything won't change at some point? Well of course you don't, the story is not over yet lol. Sure, there are some established puzzle pieces we can't deny, but anyone telling you you're lacking reading comprehension for not having a decisive opinion on the future of a yet unfinished story that tends to surprise us with each chapter is a little liar and probably doesn't know what reading comprehension means
(i'd even say that we're all a bit too quick to decide what was the point of this whole story as if we were in the future and it was finished)
"Do you no think ralsei will-" i don't know "Kris will obviously-" i don't know "Clearly, Susie will-" susie has the tendency to surprise us. Also i don't know
"It's important to remember your theories may not be correct and don't get upset if they end up being wrong" "So the Knight isn't Dess?!"
this isn't even pancakes this is "There are definitely things on the breakfast menu I like more than others" "So you hate waffles?"
low effort shitpost GO!
they are frequent costars in their respective acts, know this
Mentors in Deltarune are either a dead old man or an anime twink trying to fuck your dad
Alternatively:
has anyone pointed this out yet
she's finally happy
wait whats that mural in the ice cave? it looks something like a dragon facing off directly with an angelic figure crowned with the delta rune (or at least the section of it that seemingly represents the three heroes)
Taking a look closely, it is definitely a dragon breathing fire onto an angel... come to think of it, I feel like Toby had more to say about this area at some point, describing the museum and mural in more detail, but it's not in the art book as far as I can tell and I have no idea if it's actually something real or if I just hallucinated it LOL if anyone knows what I'm talking about please show me idk, could be some sort of susie/noelle imagery or it could just be cool art, but it is one of my favorite cut Undertale concepts (I was hoping for it to show up in Snowdin during the 10th anniversary stream but it didnt oh welllll)
Deltarune Fun Facts:
In Chapter 3, one of Tenna's quiz questions reveals that Asriel's favorite character from Super Smashing Fighters is the "fiery magician girl". Ralsei, whose name is an anagram of Asriel and has been compared to Asriel at several points in the game, is a magician who can use fire magic. This means nothing in particular, I'm sure.
blue dess crumbs idk 🤷
I like this part of the newsletter because it's basically "PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Please don't hate me when you're all wrong"
