CW: Scientific unsafe experiments, explosion, Danny being a little shit with no limits more than the usual, this is an idea me and a friend have just spoken about yesterday, Pitch Pearl ship (so don’t like, don’t read, please), I have no damn idea what i’m doing anymore at this point but i loved it, crazy possibly traumatic experiments, Phantom is the only true sane one in this relationship, Jazz need a break ASAP, DP X DC Crossover, Danny really is a little dramatic gay young boy with no self-preservation survival instincts, Phantom needs a break from that scientific bs and extra migraines he gets cuz of his crazy ass friend soon-to-be boyfriend, help him guys

It all started ironically when, out of boredom and curiosity, Danny has thought and judged as a good idea that putting his hands on Maddie and Jack’s experiments would turn out well, but, either because he was just a 10-year-old child, or because his parents thought that leaving the lab unlocked when they had two kids would not cause any harm. No need to say, two different chemicals were mixed, turning purple and soon exploding on Danny, resulting in not only Danny becoming fascinated by science, and their parents to both ignore how dangerous it was for him and deciding it was time for their kid to learn more about their work.

Now, four years have passed, Danny has grown fond of science and experiment, chemicals, and everything he could do with it for the greater good (okay, he also wanted to try to see how many cool things he could do for himself as well, like gaining powers and even surpassing Lex Luthor! Imagine the news speaking about him?) Ironically, Maddie and Jack agreed that their son was a genius, for that boy had solved many problems both of them were having a lot of difficulties in solving.

But one day, he came back from school, one that just deemed him a crazy scientist as his parents and avoided Danny like they're avoiding a plague, the lab was empty, his parents weren't home, and the door was unlocked, he wanted to talk to his parents and show his grades from some tests that day, but used that chance to play around with some of the chemicals that were on his arm's length.

For now, the two strange, unknown glowy liquids in bottles with no etiquettes or identification would have to satisfy his curiosity and impulsive thoughts demanding him to study around. So that's what he did.

The liquids now mixed changed colors quite fast, going from yellow to blue, then red, purple and finally green in a matter of a single second, but his mind managed to catch it all before the unknown liquid exploded and was poured all over his body.

The explosion seemed to have given him a few side effects, for he had spent the next 2 hours fainted in his parents' lab, in the middle of a chemical explosion’s mess and with no supervision.

By the time his parents' come back and finally find him, he's already awake, standing up, and instead of being normal parents and worrying about his safety, surprisingly they seem to feel a mix of disappointment and surprise.

Disappointment, because their lab was a mess now, and because Danny had played with two chemicals they had wanted to do some testing to know how far they could go with it.

Surprised, because Danny was untouched, not even the chemical was on his body, like everything just vanished from earth, like the lab never had an explosion with whatever chemical mix their son had made when they weren't looking.

Well, after that day, his body has started to behave differently, that much he could notice, unlike his parents and sister (lucky enough, she was sick the last few days and remained mostly on her bed, but he knew one day she would notice), some classmates noticed as well, but since he was the “mad scientist Jr” of the class, he was ignored pretty soon.

That same day when Sam, a classmate of his, had changed the school's menu to grass and mud, he noticed changes on him, such as invisibility, intangibility, flight, even changing his body to a form that had his hair and clothes white. Though it was quite hard to get rid of that experiment, apparently the government of Amity Park was letting the scientists try to create soldiers to mix in with the population and keep it safe, hoping that maybe it could be sold to other governments around the country and make the city famous or at least richer.

Surprisingly, he was getting used quite well to that routine, his grades decreased a little, but he could keep them from getting worse, though it sure was annoying that these government experiments were always targeting him, no matter the hour of the day but no.

Oh but it just HAD to get worse!

Not only are the experiments still on the loose, for the government is incompetent, but some of the patients from the psychiatrist hospital escape from time to time and try to cause problems! At least they're a bit easier to deal with.

But still, it's more work for him, he couldn't keep doing his own experiments in his parents' lab if there's chaos outside. At least the experiments sometimes let some materials fall, ones he could collect and start to test around in the lab, but of course his parents always have to go and put their nose to watch every movement he makes.

It's annoying, they're always telling him what to do, the correct way to swing a formula, the correct quantity of each ingredient, oh but for science's sake! You won't know where it will take you if you just keep limiting yourself, Maddie and Jack!

He's gonna leave this house as soon as he reaches majority. 

Then he'll get freedom in his own lab.

But before that, he's gotta prepare himself.

Like preparing to get a good job, finding a house his parents won't find him in, in another city that will never be one they would look at or get their feet on.

For now, he's gotta lay down, being sick is horrible…

He's fifteen now, and yet he continues to feel symptoms of an unknown sickness in his body. Fever, sweating, dizziness, and more. He can't understand why it is happening, or how to get rid of that, but he doesn't lack trying to find out.

Even though he was sick, every time his parents left to work on whatever (he doesn't care now, he has priorities here!), he would sneakily escape from his bed to the lab, his arms were starting to gain a few scars here and there due to all the experiments.

But well, it's just a few scars, why care about it now?

Anyways, back to the experimenting he goes…

Until he felt something acting in his body, it was moving, like it was separating itself from his body.

It hurts.

It's like his heart is being pierced and his organs are being detached from his body.

It's like something is burning him from the inside out for fun.

It's like he's dying.

The Ancients won't let me - DC X DP Prompt

More specifically Young Justice

Jack and Maddie forget about their kids often. Most of their interactions, the quick greetings, the brief questions about school, feel more like habit than care. When they do remember, it’s either overwhelming affection that lasts a few hours or days, or harsh disappointment they make impossible to ignore. The emotional instability is not great.

Jazz gets the really proud parents more often, being the genius straight A child. Danny… Danny has felt for a long time that he sees the disappointed side way more often than the loving side. Even the rare loving moments are filled with rants about protecting him from Phantom, and all the ways they’re going to hurt Phantom… Yeah, Danny is a bit more than a little desperate for adult love and approval.

So it really isn’t a surprise that he quickly grows attached to the Ancients when they start giving him consistent attention. He’s known most of them for less than three months, but they’re attention is constant, and maybe there’s not much of “I love you” but there are a lot of “good jobs” and “I’m proud” and “you did well,” which is what Danny craves.

So yeah, maybe he accepted a little too quickly when they offered to claim him as their charge. Who cares, he needed a ghost guardian either way, and he got six in one go.

The thing is the ancients are not exactly the coddling kind. They make their expectations and wishes clear from the start and expect them to be followed. They wouldn’t punish him for failing, but Danny can’t bear the idea of disappointing them. Not when his parents are already disappointed in him all the time, not when they’re the only ones that see something of worth in Danny.

So Danny is a pretty obedient ghostling.

When they tell him not to seek outside help as the GIW causes more damage, or to help Technus hide Amity’s problems from the world, he doesn’t question it. No one ever came to help before, so why would it matter?

When he meets a group of teen heroes and helps them, he refuses their offer to join the moment the Ancients disapprove. But he keeps crossing paths with them every time he leaves amity because his rogues are expanding their range (like seriously, every single time, at this point it almost feels like Clockwork is trolling him).

The thing is he enjoys spending time with them. He enjoys when he gets to fight beside them, the shared banter, and the chatter he allows himself before he bolts back to amity. So despite fear of disapproval he begs the ancients for permission, and eventually, they agree. With Conditions: Keeping the halfa part hidden, and amity as a whole, as well of a long list of ghost info. He easily promised he would.

Everytime there were things he couldn’t talk about he directly told the team the ancients wouldn’t let him talk about it. At the beginning young justice thinks the ancients are ghost gods (not exactly wrong), and that Danny is deeply religious. Later they find they're more like Danny's parents, and Danny is just really well behaved. They don't push much, because it seems Danny would really bolt if they did.

For a long time it all works well. Danny gets along with his team, they think he’s a full ghost that lives in the infinite realm and things are going well. Until the GIW starts attacking outside Amity too.

The team uncovers non-digital information from the GIW about the town and turns to Danny for answers. All he can offer is the same excuse, that the Ancients won’t let him talk. But this time they keep pushing because they're worried. And Danny isn't really paying much attention because he's panicking, because all the uncovered information was his to hide, and now he's sure he's disappointed the ancients.

Clockwork has been manipulating things so Danny has opportunities to (healthily) disobey them.

He’s the ancient of time he know that the only way that the GIW will ever be fully defeated is with outside help. He also knows Danny’s willingness to obey is not only unhealthy but will lead to even more unhealthy habits and consequences later. He needs Danny to disobey on something like this to 1) learn that Danny’s instincts are valuable and (more importantly) 2) the ancients will not withhold their love/guidance if Danny disobeys or makes mistakes

Clockwork knows better than anyone that even the ancients have flaws and gaps in their knowledge, the ways things have gone does not dictate how they will go.

This! Blind obedience isn't good. Danny may be a baby ancient, but he's meant to grow into an ancient one day. He can't blindly agree to everything they tell him. He needs to learn that sometimes he'll disagree with them, maybe even fight with them, and it'll be okay. And who best to help him learn that than the team that started by disobeying their mentors?

Young Justice exists on the pure desire of doing more than their mentors allowed them. And sometimes they chew more than they can, but that's when the mentors can be there and work as a safety net. The Ancients are Danny's safety net, and will always be there for him.

YJ: please, Danny. Just engage in a some small semblance of teenage rebellion. It’s good for your developmental health. Emphasis on mental. Ghosts are like 85% mental health, right? Please.

Danny, wobbly lip: but, but the Ancients. They wouldn’t allow it. They won’t like it. They’re gonna be disappointed…

YJ: Danny, after this is all over, we promise they’ll look back on it and be proud. They’ll get over their disappointment, if they even have any in the first place. That’s how real parental figures are. At worst, we can come forward to take the blame. Please, Danny, people are going to get hurt otherwise. Just tell us a little bit.

Little did Danny knew, the ancients, in a conversation with Clockwork, decided go indirectly cause situations that motivates Danny to disobey them, on purpose.

The reason that motivates them was clear: Danny was a traumatized, baby ancient that had many problems with his human parents, the same of which failed him over and over, everytime they could, and the ancients loved Danny so much, more than anyone ever could, they would say;

So what is the best way to make your traumatized child to learn that he can do what he wants without worrying about disappointing his parents? Inducing situations of which, with Clockwork's help, he is to choose between obey and develop unhealthy habits, or disobey and grow up, learn more about himself and actually heal from his trauma.

With Clockwork's help, everything went just fine, Danny has made connections and formed real, healthy bonds with others, slowly started to heal, though it was a very slow process, and actually started to act more like himself, even if his concern and constant worry of "not disappointing the ancients" were always there, but he was healing, and that is what they wanted to happen.

So there was this particularly hard, tiring battle, the Young Justice have just finished defeating a very powerful group of villains that wished to take control of the world, just like many "fruit loops" would do (they learned it from Danny someday during a mission-), and, as all of them were about to go with Danny back to their hideout, ziiiiip!

A heavy pressure happens to stop them, all of a sudden, before they could speak, Danny looked pale, more than the usual, eyes watery, filled with despair, as the group of powerful creatures, clearly not human, appeared after a dramatic entrance in front of them, serious but calm.

So that's when it clicks for the Young Justice... They're Danny's parents, the ancients he so often talked about to them, the ones that forbid him from speaking about so many things to anyone, the sames that the mere thought of disappointment towards Danny made him spend days awake, paranoic, trembling and limit himself to obey, just because he doesn't want them to do what his human parents, Jack and Maddie, did to him. So what the Young Justice did, once they noticed it?

They all have used their bodies to cover Danny, immediately starting to put the blames on themselves, even saying that they coerced Danny into helping them, that they shall be the ones to blame and not him.

The ancients were in silence watching this scene, a bit amused even, only for them all to have a very much needed talk with their son. Though it was very short, it was too just as important and clear.

Clockwork: oh, children, there is nothing to worry about, we know, it is not like we'll punish any of you, you did great.

Danny: wait what?

Pandora: my child, have you actually thought we would be disappointed? Just because you have done something you thought was the best? Why do you think we all induced you to disobey in the first place?

Danny: ...

Tears now fell from his eyes, as the ancients have all but given him a warm hug (somehow Danny left from his friends' protective cover and ran towards his parents after the little talk).

Whilst Clockwork and Pandora focused on calming Danny down, the other three (aka Nocturn, Vortex and Undergrowth) looked absolutely pissed... But not at Danny, never, their child was an adorable little baby ancient that would grow surrounded by only those that truly cherished him, like them, and his friends...

Nocturn: ... My son, why are you crying? Who made you cry?

Undergrowth: tell me which country they live, i shall avenge you by destroying it all

Vortex: what they are saying is: we merely want to have a very needed talk, was there someone that hurt you, dear? You just need to tell us *angel face*

... And this is where the Young Justice actually finishes processing what they have witnessed, and felt absolutely stupid for what they assumed to be the situation...

Fortunately they were all wrong, the ancients do love Danny, but he was too focused on unhealthy thoughts and habits to actually notice, so much that the ancients have all but agreed on inducing Danny to abandon that life as a well behaved child and fly free from control.

Their intentions when they have offered to be his parents weren't to control him, but to love, to care, to help him heal whenever he got hurt somehow, to show him he can always disagree without the fear of seeing their disappointment, there will always be times where they won't agree, but that is not bad, it's just natural and happens sometimes, it doesn't mean that he is a bad child for not doing what they want him to.

(me and my friend just read those prompts and immediately started to ramble about the idea on priv, so this is basically something we have agreed to be just the perfect ending if someone wrote down a fic inspired or using this prompt-)

Fic prompt #1 – YouTuber Au

YouTubers are trending so much ever since this site appeared, entertaining the internet for ages now, never once it stopped being fun watching videos was an eternal entertainment that no one could actually get rid off, and there were so many options!

Of course, Danny got obsessed with that idea, ever since a few people around the world, claiming to be “ghost hunters”, started to become popular for exploring abandoned buildings, like houses, farms, schools, etc… Clearly he had to make the internet see what a real ghost hunter acts like, at least a ghost hunter from Amity Park.

So, a young man in his 20, just took a camera he had at home and started his weekly life of exploring old, abandoned or not, buildings around the city, Amity Park was haunted in every and any way, so it wouldn't be that hard to find a ghost or any paranormal creature on camera… though there may be a chance that the cameras can't actually film them…

Still, ever since he started that life, it's been slowly getting better, and the craziest part? Not only he can't record ghosts, but 3 months after he had that brilliant idea, accidentally he summoned a ghost and made a contract with him…

His name was Phantom, a ghost similar to him, though his skin was galaxy itself, eyes white with green pupils, a hair so white it would easily be compared to the stars of the sky, and a bit taller than Danny himself. He was nice, at least, both had different points of views, such as they have lived on different dimensions too, but it was fine, they actually got along and felt like a connection was created between them.

So, both decided to try to work on this YouTube channel Danny created, “Fenton the Hunter”... He's not good with names…

5 months they worked together, 5 months exploring old buildings and becoming quickly famous, 5 months they worked together, even if Phantom couldn't be shown in the videos because the camera wasn't  programmed for it, and honestly? Danny wanted to keep it that way.

Why? First of all, it was fun to mess with the viewers, the fandom goes feral trying to find out if it's fake or real, even a channel was made with the name “Destroying Liars” just to prove that he was faking it very well, it wasn't that hard to find out it was Wes the owner of the channel.

Now, second of all? He thought Phantom deserves some privacy, both are having fun, but Phantom values privacy and quality time, so he wanted to keep it like that, which made all this channel's videos go viral with many funny moments (for them, the viewers are still trying to understand if it's fake or not, poor children LOL).

One of his favorite videos? Surely would be the most recent video, where Phantom was so pissed off at a ghost that flirted with Danny that literally threw a chair at the ghost… a physical object in a non-physical body

He laughed for hours whilst cuddling with Phantom to calm him down, cuz he was still very pissed and only calms down when Danny cuddles him on their bed

Wow im so glad i finally got over that ship of two men who resemble light and dark and whose powers are equal but opposites, who are enemies but currently learning how to trust eachother again after centuries of hurt. The light one is a royal and a well known hero while the dark one has an eye motif and even though he is the reason the light is the way he is, is overlooked and disregarded leading them to resent their lighter half and try to hurt and lead them to ruin.

Concept:

What if Danny, 1 week after becoming half ghost, half human (or “halfa” like many people call it), Maddie and Jack discover about it? Better saying, “what if Jack and Maddie are more perceptive and ACTUALLY use their intelligence and discover Danny's secret right on the start?”.

Simple: they call the G.I.W. and Danny is taken by the organization and now he's gotta run or holy fucking shit he can't even begin to think what's gonna happen to him…

Bonus: Jazz is angry at her parents, may each and every existing god hold her back, or so Jack and Maddie will become just as alive and DA VINCI in 5 seconds… Sam and Tucker would help probably.

Bonus 2: Danny's whole class is convinced to help them 3 rescue Danny and destroy that org.

P.s: Jazz was probably the one that convinced them, either with words or because she used this as a “what if it was YOUR brother? So liking or not, you'll help us or imma go to jail and all of you will be buried, you were part of the problem that led to this”

If only Vlad was smarter...

Fic prompt: Danny is something between 15/16 years old, and yet, BOOM, he's now the father of 2 kids, Danielle and Danyal, or Ellie and Dan for short (because Vlad cloned them-)... And somehow, of course, Bruce clingy-and-caring-father-figure-with-psychological-problems Wayne would offer to adopt him and help with the babies (pal, you need a therapist, you can't escape your problems with adoption every time you don't know how to solve it-). Now Danny has a rich ass father that spoils his babies, plus 6 or more brothers and sisters to help… even though his biological parents are still alive-

It was nice, though he sure had to admit, he was always so convinced that rich old men were narcisistic and cruel, that on the very first week living in that mansion, all of them have memorized and prepared a bedroom, a nursery, and built an observatory for him (this time he didn't even told any of them he liked the space, he just said that “the space is interesting” or something… apparently they thought that it was a very good idea to build a space-themed bedroom, nursery AND observatory for him based on this), all without ever bragging or showing a hint of arrogance.

Now Vlad was trying to retrieve the children to, obviously, use them against Danny… little did he knew, baby ghosts are very attached to their “mothers”... So when little Ellie attacked him with heat vision (or should he call it “ecto vision”?-) and little Dan suddenly teleported on his feet, just to bite his legs with strangely sharp fangs…

Well… Vlad had to patch himself up… the little babies surely weren't creatures that he should underestimate… (lol, idiot)

Idea: Okay so normally with all the Time Traveler that comes back to prevent the apocalypse tagged into the dcxdp tag the guy traveling back sees Danny or Dan and either trying to take out the threat or thinking they can "correct the behavior" to avoid the future.

BUT!! What if like Flash or whoever goes back and meets Danny first and thinks the usual "Oh I can mentor him and prevent him turning evil!" except later, after Danny trusts them enough Big Reveal: Danny has a daughter and son. They're introduced to the small toddlers that this teen hero is showing him absolute trust in revealing and they see Dan in that tiny son. It's Dan.

"Flash! I want to introduce you to my babies!" Danny spoke so excitedly, not at all minding the confusion and alarm flashing across the adult hero's face.

"Babies?! You're sixteen!" Flash blurted alarmed.

"I know, I know. They were...well there was an incident...a very violent and kind of...forget it. There was an incident and I have babies! I want to introduce you to my twins!" Danny told him, sort of pained and floundering. Danny had never been very good at hiding his emotions so Flash could read the alarming red flags in the things he was telling him.

Flash was trapped somewhere between horror and numbness as he grinned and didn't even hear himself agree to meet the twins. He was trying to calculate how this event fit into Danny becoming Dan. Was it the trauma? Did something happen to his children? What was going on here? He didn't know that Dan had any family, though after meeting Danny he had realized that he'd actually had parents, a sister, and pseudo siblings in his friends so a fairly large family that Dan had never talked about.

Danny was so excited as he showed Flash the two tiny toddlers he had hidden nearby. They looked closer to two years old and that only alarmed Flash more deeply. But what made it worse was that looking down at their tiny faces Flash saw Dan. The boy was adorable and with chubby cheeks but the features that he had originally thought Danny would grow into once he got older were already present in the baby boy.

"This is my daughter Danielle Celeste Fenton and my younger son Danior Altair Fenton. Aren't they just the cutest!?" Danny seemed to miss the horrifying pit that had opened in Flash's chest and cuddled and kissed the toddlers who both giggled at the actions. "They like to be called Dani and Dan though."

Flash felt like everything he had previously known or thought had shattered into pieces. He couldn't speak for a few brief moments before he smiled somewhat pained at Danny.

"Can I as who their other parent is?" Flash asked. Danny clearly hesitated for a bit.

"Their father is Vlad Plasmius, he...he wanted a perfect son and when I wouldn't comply voluntarily he decided to force the matter." Danny confessed a little sadly, hugging his children protectively to his far too small chest. Flash felt like the floor had collapsed out from under him.

"Plasmius!? Plasmius forced you to-!" Flash was fuming, he didn't even know he could get this absolutely livid.

There were a million and one things going through Flash's head. So many things he now was beginning to piece together into something truly ugly. There had been no Danny in the future, no sister Dani either, but there had been Vlad Masters. A Vlad Masters who had taken credit quite often in creating the monster Dan. A Vlad Masters who everyone knew had once been Plasmius before Dan had done something to tear the powers from him.

Flash suddenly realized that his mission suddenly went from preventing Danny from becoming Dan, to ensuring that Danny survived to raise Dan himself and never allow Masters to gain custody ever.

Also, you know about the myth of Thetis, Achilles's mother? When I was a kid, I was taught that Zeus and Poseidon and other horny male gods wanted to "take" Thetis but an oracle warned them that whoever sired Thetis's child would one day be dethroned by said child. Simply put, the child will be more powerful than their parent.

Zeus then had Thetis married a mortal (Achilles's dad) so her child would never be as powerful as a god.

That makes me think of Danny and how funny it would be if, as Phantom, every oracle foretells that his child will be more OP. And just like Thetis's case, the superhero community (*cough* Batman) tries a backup plan to have Danny marry a completely normal person.

Unfortunately, Danny pulls a uno reverse card on them and show up with toddlers Dan and Dani who shares DNA with his equally powerful archenemy Vlad Plasimus 😈

Lol, they work so hard to keep him away from powerful ass people except didn't account for villains and their inability to accept a solid "NO". Which they really should have, but most of their villains aren't fucked in the head enough to force children on their underage rival.

Batman is contemplating if killing Vlad counts as murder or just metamorphosis since he'd likely just become full ghost. He also considers ways to seal a ghost for fucking eternity where he'll never be able to ever be near Phantom again ever.

I don't see why this would be illegal. We should definitely get it done before the ecto acts come down though or it'll definitely be illegal. Red Robin: Right! The law says we can! Plasmius is a known villain so they can ask if ghost containment equipment the Fenton’s make and the heroes have already looked into would work on the vampire wannabe.

But yes misunderstandings abound and all the hero parents or mentors with kids about Danny’s age are wanting to go full boar no mercy on Vlad.

Danny was confused when he found Captain Marvel at his front door. (I vote he doesn’t call himself Shazam bc it’s be like stripping in the middle of Times Square in front of the ball on New Years Eve and Billy Batson is many things, but not an idiot. *glares daggers and hisses like an angry goose at DC and Marvel*)

Marvel apparently came bearing gifts. And an invitation.

There was a bath set for each baby, a gift card for the local produce market with an amount that made Danny uncomfortable until it was explained it was from a group, not just one guy. (Alfred stopped B from just having it be from one guy because considering Vlad’s influence, the young parent might be hesitant to accept a large card and might refuse if it came a single person.) The boy’s bath set was Superman themed and the girl’s was Wonder Woman themed.

The invitation was typed up on official JLA letterhead

“You are cordially invited to attend a baby shower at the Watchtower on this upcoming Saturday at 3:00 EST. There will be an assortment of refreshments and entertainment (including a game of Pin the Cape on the Bat if he holds still long enough).”

The last note made him snort, because it was written in purple glitter gel. Clearly, there were hijinx in store. He couldn’t wait to see everyone responding to Dani’s excitement being shown by floating gleefully.

The baby shower is chaos. Absolute chaos.

The minute Flash found out about the babies he immediately informed the rest of the league. Then it was a mad rush to make a baby shower because the least Danny deserved was to have something normal for his kids. Flash doubted he had anyone to support him otherwise. So the baby shower had to be perfect.

When Danny arrived and had to physically hold back tears, they believed it was a job well done. (Multiple hijinks ensued from that day.) Meanwhile, the young Justice? Are ecstatic to meet babies. The just want to squish their little cheeks. (Too bad they have intangibility.) and now all the sidekicks are fighting over who gets to be best aunt/uncle.

Also, everyone (especially Batman) are now doing thorough research on members of the infinite realms, including asking Constantine and the rest of Justice League Dark. After all, they didn’t know that male ghosts could become pregnant. Does gender just not matter? What else don’t they know? They (especially Flash) need to know if Danny is alright or if he needs anything. Like if something was wrong.

They asked Danny once if there were any issues when the kids were born.

Danny: Well…Ellie did almost melt but we fixed that.

JL member: I’m sorry, did you say melt?

Danny: yeah, she was kinda unstable. Vlad rushed it so it was a lot more painful than it needed to be.

JL member (thinking of all the horrible things he just insinuated): are…are you ok?

Danny: well yeah, it hurt but it wasn’t like it was going to kill me. (Whisper: I think) Been there, done that. Besides, we managed to stabilize her pretty quickly. And it’s not like Vlad’s going to try and speed up the process again.

JL member: wait, he tried to speed up the process?

Danny: Vlad wanted a son. He figured that he could melt her down and study her remains to figure out how to make a better kid next time. It’s fine though! I managed to break out and save her in time. (Referencing when he broke out from Red huntress but the JL member didn’t realize that) I just wish….well, I just wish I could have made it time for the others….

JL member now thoroughly more traumatized and whispering: …..others?

Danny (trying to hold back tears and looking really sad): yeah….others. There were multiple….attempts…Ellie was the only one from her batch to survive.

JL member: (internal screaming)

The JL decide not to ask Danny anymore since they feel like they’re only going to bring up bad memories. So they do independent research. ….and also might put a hit out on Vlad.

Wonder Woman overheard all of that. Once Danny is fully focused on another topic of conversation she stomps towards the exit. The baby shower presents haven’t been opened yet so Flash zips over from the other side of the room to stop her.

“Yo Wondy, where you going? Party’s not over yet.”

She answers in a hushed tone full of fury, “I’m going to ask my uncle Hades to prepare a special place in hell for Plasmius! Oh and find a sword ghosts can’t phase through. My lasso won’t cause that monster enough pain.”

“Ok I know he deserves it, but what did he do for this?” Flash asked as they got to the zeta tube.

“Ask Green Arrow. He was the one dumb enough to bring up those painful memories for the poor child. Though I’m sure Superman and Batman also overheard.”

Flash went back to the party the moment the zeta tube powered down looking for Oliver. He finds the archer in a dark corner talking to Constantine with an annoyed Batman close by. “Come on Connie, there has to be something you can do to make my arrows able to hurt Vlad in ghost form. And I don’t mean quickly end, I want prolonged pain after what I just learned he did to the kid!”

That caused them grumpy bat to perk up and Flash thought this was the perfect point to intervene. “Yeah Let’s hear what you learned in a private room where Danny won’t hear and be put through any more stress remembering. You know so we don’t ruin the party and the good things those kids deserve.”

Flash may have gritted that out in a strained smile that was almost like bared teeth.

Batman took the hint. “We will talk about this in a debriefing room later. Constantine, in the meantime gather anything magical that can be used as a weapon or protection from Master’s. I’ll do the same with what we have of the fenton’s tech.”

My favorite thing about Danny is that his vocation can be so versatile, and it all works.

Is he a barista?

An engineer?

A bookstore owner?

Or is he a toy maker that makes the most detailed porcelain dolls you've ever seen? He's especially proud of how creepy they are. It's just unfortunate that they keep showing up at crime scenes of various murders throughout Gotham.

The bats think it's a calling card of a new serial killer. Really, the dolls are just really fucking haunted and keep wandering the city til they find that delicious ecto.

Dannys only here bc weird Gotham ecto + curses + overlapping leylines = perfect environment to do really interesting things with ecto, like crafting hyper realistic dolls with eyes that follow you around the room (and apparently seek out murder victims) and other toys that like to absorb and horde the emotions around them.

It's not long before the bats track the dolls down to their maker.

Shenanigans ensue.

All I can think is his store is creepy as all hell, but it’s pure aesthetics. Doll collectors and horror fans love the store and his stuff, and it does fit Gotham vibes to a tee. (Lady Gotham sometimes ‘guides’ potential patrons to the store. Though a few just stopping to ask for directions).

The dolls seeming like creepy stuff found at the scenes, but after the fourth or fifth they showed up at, the bats thinking it’s some serial killer. And the moment find Danny’s store and look up Danny, they’re even more convinced. A son of two ghost hunters from some town in Illinois, add on the weird teenage years and somehow link to an unknown government agency (Tim will look that up later) the bats are certain he’s a new villain.

Problem, they literally had eyes on him doing mundane stuff when a new murder occurred where a doll was found.

Cue them figuring Danny is a genius at machine engineering (potentially true and possibly supported by evidence of him building/modifying tech) and using the Dolls to commit murder (they deal with Dollmaker regularly, the idea isn’t all that outlandish and might even convince them Danny is a copycat). Only they can’t find any bit of tech on the dolls.

Conclusion? It’s obviously something occult, time to send one to Johnny. Johnny is less than pleased at receiving an extremely haunted, extremely cursed (made in Gotham) and extremely creepy Chuck wannabe from Big B, doubly so upon finding out it has the mark of something unknown, but very powerful that feels eerily like a Death God. Batfam gets their doll returned to sender with a note that just reads “NOPE”.

Constantine didn’t even fully examine the “evidence” doll. He just took on glance at it, saw it’s haunted, cursed, creepy and has a mark of some god level threat, and fully decided this isn’t his problem. He already pissed off a ton of demons, he’s not adding himself to another Death God’s shit list.

The Bats are having a collective breakdown when the doll is returned with a “NOPE” and Constantine basically ghosting (pun intended) Batman. Cue trying to get help from other JLD members since not great whilst Bruce working to get back in contact with Constantine if nothing else for some protection stuff.

All the Bats trying to plan a way to either prove Danny is a Toymaker copycat or some demonic practitioner.

At least one of the Bats head to the store undercover with potential fun depending on who goes and if alone. (Jason figuring out he’s half liminal and getting the attention of the Ghost King)

Bruce doesn’t take the hint and somehow tricks Constantine into being teleported in the store right in front of a startled Danny.

Constantine takes a look around, sees all the little porcelain terrors looking right at him, their necks moving to stare directly on his direction with an unison crack reminiscent of a corpse, sees a store decorated eerily like a necromancer’s workshop and sees what looks scarily like an abomination from the Outer Abyss to his true-sight manning a counter and promptly dives out through the window screaming “Not today Satan!” right besides the open door.

Danny shares a look with his dolls before shrugging and turning his attention back to the customer he was ringing up “So, anyway. Your total will be U$ 69.50, will it be card or cash?”.

September 16th, a date to cry about...

For a teenager whose life is split in two, having little to no time to actually do much other than study (or try to), fight some ghosts and make hell out of Vlad's immortal life. Especially after 2 years in that same routine.

Though he never was one to pay attention and follow the ghost culture that much, there were a few things of which he actually did, though he only found out after 1 year and a half, and today it's his chance to do one of them, especially when it's his deathday...

Sure, it's not exactly called like that, but it's much better than say he'll celebrate "the day he turned into a ghost and must be left alone for a while" like Frostbite said... Or maybe he just forgot the actual name for said event. Whatever.

Maybe he'll be grounded for disappearing for more than 18 hours by his parents, maybe his friends will be desperate almost thinking the GIW took him, but it's a bit worth it...

Now he just needs to decide on something...

Should he sleep in a coffin for a whole day or just cry all day somewhere no one would find him?...

Well, he sure is sleepy and don't want to do something, he doesn't really have any idea of what he could do in such a day... At least now he knows why he felt so gloomy and antisocial last year in that same day and month.

Twitter's biggest mystery ever (DC X DP crack prompt)

If there is one thing that keeps Twitter functioning, is a good old mystery, many of them entertaining enough to keep Danny busy, sometimes just because it's easier to bring the ghosts their belongings, letting them hide it away somewhere else much safer than the previous place.

Today was quite normal, of which just made Danny concerned, even more when Sam sent him a link, with a text right bellow, saying "check this out Danny".

What he saw was a 70+ long conversation of both Dan and Ellie, his own children, on Twitter, discussing that "population should have every legal right to make hell out of the rich men's lives, since all they do is create you, then try to kill your father and then you".

Said discussion have received the entire app's attention, as there were thousands of retweets, comments and likes (wtf?), the last two tweets, one from each child of his, made him answer them directly, already trying to do damage control

Dan: it's so unfair, i wanted to burn his money and mansion, what would he do? Sue me? He doesn't have the money for it!

Danny left him a comment, saying "Dante Folley Manson Fenton, you either stop trying to plan someone's murder or you'll be grounded until the day I marry your father for love! And please come back home before 10pm, I made dinner", receiving a "FATHER THAT'S NOT FAIR AT ALL, COME ON" from him, making him chuckle.

Then, he turned to read Ellie's comment, answering her brother

Dan: right?! Like, fuck it, he created us, so what? Rich people are just fruitloops that think they can do whatever they want, i bet they wouldn't see what's coming if i filled their mansions with poisoned jelly

His comment? Something close to "Danielle Foster Manson Fenton, if i find out you and Dan did or considered doing anything to any possible rich person in any part of the world, you'll be just as grounded as your brother, and i'll tell your aunt Jazz what actually happened to her sweater last week", being answered with nothing but a "DAD NO" before his own house's door was slammed opened by two teenagers, desperately trying to not get grounded until forever, whilst Twitter was on fire with all that situation.

... Somehow, Twitter thought the kids were Bruce Adopts-Every-Kid-He-Sees Wayne biological children with a 20 years old boy (possibly trans? Twitter is still investigating) named Danny, that he wasn't paying child support and was a horrible father, resulting in millions of emails sent to Bruce, questioning everything, attacking him and every single possible thing they could do as Twitter users.

Bruce: ... The fuck?

Alfred: language, master Bruce

Bruce: ... My apologies, Alfred...

His many kids couldn't stop laughing for hours as soon as they all discovered about that through Tim... After helping him breathe a bit, since he was about to pass out by how much he was laughing with this situation.
