Adieu Montréal! I spent exactly a year in you and it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter. Thanks for all the good memories. Thanks for the chill vibe, kindness, and poutine! But I certainly won’t appreciate all the unexpected/unnecessary BS I had to deal with while I was in you. Oh well I guess I learned a lot. I never talked about this anywhere before but I’ve been actually preparing for this move for the past 3 months. Bought the plane ticket, legally terminated the lease that was initially signed until July 2019, packed & moved all my furniture and belongings into a public storage, then moved into an all-furnished condo where I could stay monthly in Nov. All of this was done within a week in October as I was very determined to get out of here. Then got my visa just 3 days after the interview (These people are known for their ‘efficiency’, guess where I’m going?). The place I’m headed to- I don’t know anybody there and am certainly not moving there for somebody this time. I have no idea what’s out there for me but for some reason I’m not even nervous...it is mostly just that I can’t describe how excited I am in words as I’m about to board shortly.
