Loved the new chapters! But I dont know if its because I'm used to "The Eldest" but I have this feeling that something it about to go horribly wrong...I'm probably just being paranoid though right?
Please say yes.
My poor darling readers
Iâve conditioned you into believing things will go horribly wrong⌠define horrible tho
Especially because anyone else just melting my heart melted a lot
this is for @loaf-with-jam, @lyssa-heart550 and anyone else that ships these two (it's pride month may as well... i did a lot of research... this will probably be the only time I write something like this)
What if Si'riya realized that what was between them was more than friendship?
My Better Half
The great Tulkun drifted through the moonlit water, her massive form casting shadows beneath the surface while stars reflected across the sea like scattered diamonds.
(Y/n) lay on her back, hands behind her head, staring upward.
Beside her, Si'riya did the same.
For once neither of them was talking. Which was strange. Because usually when they were together, silence lasted approximately three seconds.
Then one of them would say something ridiculous. Usually at the other's expense.
A shooting star streaked overhead.
Neither spoke.
The Tulkun let out a low, gentle call beneath them.
And somehow, in the quiet, (Y/n) found herself smiling.
"What's that look for?" Si'riya asked immediately.
There it was.
(Y/n) laughed softly. "I was thinking."
"Dangerous."
"See? Exactly that."
Si'riya grinned.
For a moment neither looked away.
Then something strange happened.
The joke lingered.
The smile lingered.
And neither seemed in any hurry to break the moment.
(Y/n)'s expression softened. "You know..." she said quietly.
"Hm?"
"I think you're the only person I've ever met who drives me completely insane."
Si'riya laughed. "The feeling is mutual."
"No, seriously."
The sincerity in her voice made Si'riya glance over.
(Y/n) was looking at the stars again. Thoughtful. "Most people don't understand me."
Si'riya snorted. "That's because you're an idiot."
"See?"
"I understand you because I'm an idiot too."
That got a laugh. And for some reason it made both of them smile.
Because it was true.
They were alike in all the ways that mattered. Stubborn. Reckless. Loyal to a fault.
The sort of people who would charge into danger first and think about consequences later.
They fought. Argued. Annoyed each other endlessly. Yet somehow always ended up together again.
Always.
The realization settled quietly between them.
Not sudden. Not shocking. Just... true.
Like it had always been true.
They weren't opposites. They never had been. They weren't people who completed one another because they were different.
They completed one another because they were the same.
Each understood the parts of the other that nobody else seemed to.
The fears.
The hopes. The flaws. The dreams.
All of it.
Si'riya rolled onto her side slightly.
Looking at (Y/n). "I never have to explain myself to you."
(Y/n)'s eyes found hers. "No."
"You just know."
"Yeah."
The answer came effortlessly. Because she did.
And Si'riya knew her too. Perhaps better than anyone.
The ocean stretched endlessly around them.
The stars glittered above.
And suddenly the space between them felt very small.
"I think..." Si'riya began softly.
Then stopped.
"What?"
A small smile touched her lips. "I think you're my better half."
(Y/n) laughed quietly. "No chance."
"It's true."
"We're exactly the same."
"That's my point."
The words hung there.
And somehow stole their breaths, something neither expected.
For a long moment neither spoke.
Neither looked away.
The world seemed to narrow until there was only the two of them. The sea. The stars.
And this feeling that had been growing for far longer than either wanted to admit.
(Y/n)'s smile softened. "So what are we supposed to do about that?"
Si'riya's heart hammered.
Because she knew exactly what (Y/n) meant.
And judging by the look in those eyesâso did (Y/n).
Slowly.Si'riya reached for her hand.
Their fingers intertwined naturally.
Like they had done it a thousand times before. Maybe they had. Just never realizing what it meant.
The distance between them disappeared. Neither rushed. Neither hesitated.
When they finally kissed, it was gentle. Tentative.
A question and an answer all at once.
And when they pulled apart, foreheads resting together, both were smiling.
Not surprised. Not confused. Just... happy.
Like they had finally found the thing that had been missing.
Or perhaps realized it had been beside them all along.
Below them, the Tulkun released a deep, contented call into the night.
Si'riya laughed softly. "I think she approves."
(Y/n) smiled. "Good."
The stars continued shining overhead.
And together, hand in hand atop the back of a gentle giant, they watched them until dawn.
Characters from @just-another-idk lovely fic âThe Eldestâ
I started this piece when Siâriya first got introduced and of course I got way too excited and thought her and pumpkin were end game. Then the Tarsem chapter came out and I realized they werenât going to happen so I just stopped working on it. In my heart they are together but their friendship is just as good.
This is supposed to be underwater but I got lazy and never finished the rendering thus itâs cropped to my favorite parts. Please ignore the ears I rendered them just enough to post this. The hair in this took me actual hours because I donât like the preset braid brushes and Iâm very picky about curly hair so I blame myself for burning out after rendering the hair. Also Siâriya is wearing my favorite top Ronal wears because I mourn the lack of screen time it got.
Siâriya design from @bynxi
And my Pumpkin design based off @loaf-with-jamâs design
Very rough WIP I made while on my lunch break. I love Aranahae colors so I can't wait to start coloring. This is my design for (Y/N) in @just-another-idk story "Gentle Hands." If anyone have some hairstyles they recommend I am all ears! I'm not the biggest fan of this hairstyle. Also her face may change I wanted her rounder for that "soft" look but I worry she still doesnt look "Na'vi" Enough. Though I may just excuse that as "Shes an Avatar"
WIP of something I hope to render one day. Artwork of Pumpkin from @just-another-idk fanfic "The Eldest." I needed to get this out before the happy chapters end.
Please ignore Kiri's hair I was getting so frusterated with it. If anyone has any tips to get her hair to look more accurate I would love some suggestions!
Pumpkin's design is inspired by @loaf-with-jam check out their art!
Edit:realized I forgot to turn on the scar layer...đ Anyway imagine that first one is an AU where she never got tortured.
@just-another-idk posted a new chapter that aligned with everything I have been wanting since we were introduced to them Si'riya! Some sketches I threw together because I love this duo sm. (I'm literally in my work parking lot posting this so I might post the high resolution when I get home.)
Si'riya design inspired by @bynxi (I hate drawing tattoos so ignore the inconsistencies with the design and placement of them)
And some inspiration from @loaf-with-jam for Pumpkin design.
S'tev was just made from vibes (I imagine one of those annoying surfer dudes, thus the man bun)
Pairing: Neteyam Sully x Lo'ak Sully x sister!reader (ft. Jake, Neytiri)
Warnings: none. fluff.
Summary: A quiet afternoon where Neytiri decides to spoil her daughter with the most intricate braids, much to the playful dismay of Neteyam and Loâak.
â¨based on this requestâ¨
A rare moment of peace has settled, mostly because Neytiri has claimed you for the afternoon instead of letting you hunt dinner and patrol with your brothers.
Neytiri sits on the mat, her long legs tucked beneath her, while you sit between them. Her hands move through your hair with precision. She's weaving in small beads and feathers sheâs been saving specifically for you.
"Mother, thatâs the sixth big feather," you whisper, feeling the slight weight of the adornments.
"Hush, stay still," she murmurs, a small smile tugging at her lips. "A daughter of Toruk Makto should be seen. You are our pride." She leans down, pressing a firm kiss to the top of your head.
The heavy footsteps of your brothers break the silence. Neteyam and Loâak trek into the marui, covered in mud and sweat from the hunting. They stop dead when they see the scene: you, looking like a princess, and Neytiri, who usually spends her time training them to be warriors, fussing over your hair like itâs the most important task in the forest.
Loâak crossed his arms, his tail twitching with jealous feelings. "Hey, is that a spirit tree bead? I asked for one of those for my songcord months ago!"
"Mother, weâve been out in the sun for six hours with her help. I think I have a permanent knot in my shoulder, yet youâre over here making sure she looks like... sheâs going to a ceremony?" Neteyam wipped dirt off his forehead, sounding genuinely offended.
Neytiri doesn't even look up from her work. "Your sister needs her beauty time. And you two need to do your duty. Go wash up. You smell like a swamp."
Loâak huffs, dropping his hunting gear with a dramatic thud. "Total favoritism. Dad lets her out of duty today and now youâre giving her princess treatment. I see how it is."
Neteyam tries to look more mature about it but his eyes linger on the intricate pattern Neytiri is finishing. "It does look good," he mutters, "but Iâm pretty sure Iâm the one who actually brought home dinner today."
Hearing the mock outrage in their voices, you canât help yourself. You lean back as you catch your brotherâs eyes. With a mischievous glint, you tilt your head, squint your eyes and stick your tongue out at them.
"Hey!" Loâak yells, lunging forward to poke your side.
"Skxawng!" Neteyam laughs, reaching out to muss up your hair in retaliation.
"Ah-ah!" Neytiriâs voice rings out, sharp but playful as she swats their hands away. "Do not touch my masterpiece. Go! Wash!"
As they grumble their way toward the river, Lo'ak was still complaining about your princess privileges. Neytiri pulls you closer. "Ignore them, my daughter. They are just jealous they do not look as beautiful as you."
-
Later, Jake walks inside and he takes one look at the scene: his daughter looking like a forest princess and his two sons looking like theyâve been told theyâre grounded for a decade.
"Dad, tell Mom she's being biased," Lo'ak grumbles, gesturing wildly at you. "She's been working on that one braid for twenty minutes since we came back. I just got a 'good job' and a pat on the back for the hunt today."
Jake laughs, pulling both boys into a brief, one-armed huddle. "Look, your sisterâs the only one in this family who doesn't track mud into the kitchen every five minutes. Give her a break. Besides..." He leans in, lowering his voice to a secret stage whisper that you and Neytiri can clearly hear. "...Iâve got some weird Stormglider's teeth I found today. I was gonna save 'em, but maybe they'd look better on two warrior braids?"
The change is instant. Neteyamâs posture straightens and Loâakâs eyes light up. "Seriously?"
"Yeah," Jake nods, giving them a playful shove toward the back of the marui. "Go get them before your sister notices, I left them by the rocks."
With the boys distracted, Jake finally turns his full attention to the two of you. He stands there for a moment, his arms crossed over his chest, his expression softens.
He walks over, kneeling behind Neytiri. He doesn't say anything at first, but his eyes track the intricate patterns of the beads and the way the light catches the feathers sheâs woven into your hair.
"i know you're making them jealous on purpose, baby," he murmurs.
Neytiri looks back over her shoulder, her eyes bright with mischief. "Am I?"
Jake reaches out, his large thumb grazing a particularly delicate braid near your temple. Heâs careful not to snag it, his touch surprisingly light.
He moves infront of you and catches your eye and gives you a quick wink, letting you know heâs totally on your side but then he looks at Neytiri with pride.
"It's beautiful," he whispers, so low the boys won't hear. "Best work youâve done yet. She looks just like you."
Neytiri beams, a soft flush appearing on her cheeks. You take the opportunity to lean against your father, feeling completely untouchable.
prompt: after the dream hunt, you confide in your father about feeling drawn to women, not men; he reassures you and assures that love follows truth, not ârules.â

warnings: kinda angst to comfort, none, if homosexuality bothers you, do not interact.
pairing: dad!jake sully x daughter!reade
notes: this was requested by an anon!
It was five days after your dream huntâyou distinguished silently, watched from the sidelines as your friends walked about with those they had once courtedânow paired off and deeply entwined with.
You tell yourself you donât mind, that youâre just different, but the ache in your chest says otherwise.
You sulk silently by the riverbank, feet dangling in the water, the water filled with life, tiny fish dancing around your feet.
Your neck hung loosely, staring blankly at the biolumescent waterweeds which formed just below the surface.
Any man would be lucky to mate with youâthe oloeyktanâs daughter, it elevates his status. But when your friends whisper about the boys they hope will choose them, you smile and nod, your heart never races the way theirs do, it never really has.
Not the way it flutters when a girl laughs and leans close, when nimble fingers brush yours during training, when you catch yourself looking too hard.
You donât understand what it means, you just know it makes you feel alone.
A branch creaks behind you, footsteps you recognize approach softly. Your father. He sits beside you carefully, arm wrapping around your shoulders. âSo what is it babygirl? Youâve been avoiding us ever since the dream hunt.â
âNothing,â you huff. âItâs stupid.â
âItâs not stupid if itâs making you feel like this. Talk to me baby.â He places a soft kiss into your hair.
You turn to face him, the forest humming softly around you. âItâs justâŚI see all these ladiesâmy friends with men, I hear them talk about the guys, and all I can do is smile. But I donât feel the same.â
Jake is quiet, just listening.
âWhen a man looks at me,â you continue. âI donât feel something ignite inside like others describe, or when they touch me! I donât feel a thing.â
âAnd what about women?â
The question hangs gently between you and your father, your gaze shifts to him, eyes big. âI donât know,â you admit, voice small. âItâs different. When a woman laughs and leans close, I feel warm. When our hands brush during training, my heart beats so loud she probably hears it.â Your fingers twist in your lap. âBut thatâs not how itâs supposed to be.â
Your fathers arms tighten around your shoulders in reassurance. âAnd who told you that?â he asks quietly.
You stare at the glowing waterweeds beneath the surface. âItâs just⌠everyone. The stories. The songs. The way itâs always been.â
âLook, when I first came to Pandora, I thought I understood how things were âsupposedâ to be.â A faint smile curves his lips. âEywa doesnât care much for what people think is supposed to happen.â
âListen to me,â he says gently. âThereâs nothing wrong with the way your heart works. Nothing broken. Nothing shameful. Love doesnât follow rules we make up, it follows truth. And your only responsibility is to be honest with yourself about what feels real.â
âWhat if they donât understand? What if it disappoints you?â
His brows pull together immediately. âDissapoint me? Baby, nothing involved with your love for someone could disappoint me. One day you will find your person and I will be there. Ten toes behind you.â He chuckles, squeezing your shoulder.
âI love you.â You smile, leaning into him.
âYou know, on earth.. They call it homosexuality. The important thing about where we are right now, is that there is no norm. You can love anyone and it will be right.â
âIs it like that where you come from?â
âNot always. People care more than youâd think.â
âWhy?â
Jake exhales slowly, gaze drifting across the glowing water as if he can still see another world layered over this one.
âBack on earth,â he continues, voice quieter now, âpeople made rules about everythingâwho should love, how you should live, what was ânormal.â Some folks followed these rules without question.. others, didnât fit them.â He glances at you, a small, knowing smile tugging at his lips. âThose people, they were a lot braver.â
Your fingers curl slightly. âThey were happy?â
âSome were.â He says. âThe ones who chose to be honest with themselves..even when it was hard, even when people didnât understand.â He nudges your shoulder gently. âKinda like youâre doing now.â
You huff softly, but thereâs less weight behind it this time. âIt doesnât feel brave. It feels confusing.â
âYeah,â he nods. âIt usually does at first.â
Silence falls for a while before you speak, âI thought maybe something was wrong with me. Like, perhaps I was missing something everyone else had.â
Your dadâs arm tightens around you again, firmer this time. âYouâre not missing anything. Youâre just tuned a little different and thatâs not a flaw.â
You swallow, eyes stinging faintly as you blink down at the water. âWhat if no one understands? What if my friends look at me differently?â
âThe ones who see you, wonât love you any less.â
Your chest feels lighter, though the uncertainty hasnât fully disappeared. Itâs just not crushing anymore.
âAnd what about her?â he adds gently.
Your heart stutters. âHer?â
âThe girl who makes your heart race,â he says, a hint of teasing in his voice now. âGot a name?â
Heat rushes to your face immediately. âDad-â
He laughs softly. âIâm just saying. You donât have to figure everything out tonight, just donât run from it.â
The two of you sit there for a while longer, the world alive around you, your thoughts no longer something to hide fromâbut something to slowly, carefully understand.
