Within the quiet room, all that could be heard was the sound of the rain hitting the window. She layed their waiting for her love, it was a late night at work for him.
She couldn't wait to see him tonight, it was a very cold night and she just wanted to cuddle up close to him. She knew that he might not want to, but she wasn't going to let him ruin what she was looking forward to.
~ Reader's point of view ~
I could feel chills running down my back, it was such a cold night. I snuggled closer into the blankets, trying to get any warmth possible. I just wanted Levi to come home, but earlier he called me, letting me know that he was going to be late tonight.
When I first found out I was a little upset about it, I had put a lot of hard work to make him a nice dinner. Though in the end it was only to be saved in the refrigerator, hoping that Levi would still enjoy his meal even though it wasn't fresh.
Rolling over my eye's soaked in the bright light from the clock, the time displayed on there was nine thirty. I was certain that Levi would be home soon, when he was suck at work til late he usually arrived home between nine thirty and ten.
During my time alone, I decided to try to keep warm within our bed while keeping my mind busy with a movie. Though it felt like the rooms temperature continued to decrease, I was almost shivering at this point.
The sound of the rain hitting the window seem to increase in volume, my mind quickly assumed that the storm was getting worse. I hoped that Levi would be home shortly, I didn't want him to drive in this weather.
Though those thoughts were dismissed when my ears caught the sound of the door opening. Excitedly, I jumped to out of bed with my blanket covering my body, and I rushed out our room.
As I entered the kitchen I saw him, his back faced towards me as he leaned on the counter staring at his phone. A smile immediately came to my face, and my little steps carried me over to him. I let my arms wrap around his waist, and I let my head rest against his back. I felt him tense up at the sudden contact but then relaxing soon after, still smiling I heard him say.
"Hey brat," pouting a litte I responded.
"I'm not a brat, I'm just really excited you're home." While speaking I hugged him a little tighter and buried my head in his back.
Though I could hear his chuckle and him mutter, "I missed you too." I felt him turn in my arms, and my eyes traveled from his chest to his face. To my surprise I saw a small smile, it was very rare to see him smile but I loved it.
Without thinking I whispered, "You should smile more often." Instantly after hearing my words a frown formed on his face and he responded.
"Whatever you say brat." I giggled a little at his response and asked.
"Can we go lay in bed? I'm freezing and I've been waiting for you to come home." I could hear him let a little sigh out and say.
"Yeah we can, I'm exhausted from work anyways." Smiling I immediately grabbed his hand and began to drag him from the kitchen to the bedroom, I still clung onto my blanket for its warmth.
Once we entered the room, my fingers gently brushed down his hand as I pulled away. My pace quickly pick up as I hurried to the bed, jumping onto it I quickly got all the covers ready for us. By the time I finished, Levi was already climbing into his side.
I crawled towards him and began to cuddle up close. I heard him let out a small breath before getting comfortable with me in his arms. I smiled even more and buried my face into his chest, well that was before I remembered that Levi didn't have supper.
I muttered into his chest, "Are you hungry?"
He responded quickly and asked, "what did you say? I can't you hear you (Y/N)." Lifting my head I looked at him, and asked once more.
"Are you hungry? I made dinner for you but I completely forgot about it." Levi just looked at me with a blank face and answered.
"No I'm good, Hange brought me something to eat while I was at work." I brought my head back down to his chest and whispered.
"Thats good because I'm cold and I want you to stay here with me" I felt his arm tighten around a bit and then relax again. It was a quick squeeze but it was to show that he agreed with my statement.
It wasn't very long after that I began to hear the rain again within our quiet room, the sounds of the drops beating against the window. My eyes started to grow heavy, apparently my new found warmth was making me sleepy. As I drifted away into a deep slumber I could hear Levi quietly whisper three words.
My apologies, I wrote this quickly and it ended up not being my best writing. I do like it, but at the same time I just feel it could have came together smoother.
