Lmao ordered magnets on amazon, mom opened the package and flipped her shit, she somehow knew what they are meant for. And they suspected me of stealing in the past. I told her everyone in my science class was assigned to bring one element from the periodic table and I was given Neodymium. Wish me luck, I have to prove it with class pictures and my teacher. Lol

I set it down somewhere in the back of the store, I decided I didn’t really want it after all and don’t really remember…but it might be in the [insert here] aisle/area! *sound nice and sweet*” Has worked like a charm whenever an SA or LP came at me with this type of question in the past. :)
“It looks like you have more than (number of items you said).” “Oh, sorry! I forgot I had (insert clothing article here). It’s more like (add one or two to the number you gave)” Happened to me today and then I lifted two shirts right under their noses. >:)

I worked at F21 for four years and these have always been fake. I took a bucket full of these and walked right out of the store and I didn’t beep. We got these because accessories was the highest shrink department in F21 and they’re literally just there to scare you off. !!!!!!!DO NOT MISTAKE THESE FOR THE PENCIL TAGS THEY ALSO USE ON ACCESSORIES!!!!!!!

storytime, i almost got caught
so @witchylifts and i started in pacsun. there were only two SAs there and they honestly gave no fucks. we brought in a lottt of stuff into the dressing room and started trying stuff on and detagging. stupidly, we put the removed tags into the pockets of an adidas jacket. when we were leaving, the lady working there was literally right outside of our dressing room and went inside to get the stuff we left in there. we zoomed outta there real fast and went to the bathroom to get everything situated. everything was all good. we were carrying the lifted stuff in victorias secret bags but hadnt hit vs yet so i waited in the food court with our stuff while my friend went to cop some vs. i saw the pacsun worker guy in the food court looking around so i just ducked my head and started texting.
so my lift buddy got back, got food, and it was now my turn to hit vs. i grabbed hella stuff and went into the fitting room to try stuff on and lift and whatnot. as i was trying stuff on, someone started talking to the workers. i barely heard them but i am so lucky i did. “have you seen a girl with a bun and a backpack?” (which was me except it was a mini purse sized backpack) so i stopped what i was doing and strained to listen. they said something about us going in and out of the bathroom and the vs worker said they hadn’t seen anyone like that. i listened for a few more minutes and all i could hear was vs SAs promoting stuff to other costumers. i frantically texted my friend to get the fuck to a safe place and to meet me there. i put on all the clothes that were in my bag, changed my hair, took off my sweater and bag (draped them over my arm), shoved the hangers in my cleavage, and decided to buy a sports bra to look less sus.
i walked outta there and went to the meeting place. there was a security guard near the entrance to the mall, clearly looking for someone. i ducked out of there and changed our meeting place.
once i met with her, we just started browsing in random stores and talking about girl stuff, then went to the bathroom and got everything situated and condensed our bags. there was security patrolling the mall when usually theyre just in their office doing fuckin nothing. they were literally looking for us. we continued to lift a few small things. however, we still had an hour till our parents were coming to pick us up so we went to earthbound just to browse. i got the socks i wanted and got away with those. i tried to slid a tarot card book into my bag but was caught. the SA asked me to leave and told me ‘next time ill call security’ so i just played dumb and pretended that i accidentally put it in there when i was searching for my phone.
we got away with everything else, got home safe, but we are not going back to that mall for a long fucking time. dont be stupid like us. it almost cost us.
Ooh if you think security is after you, change up your look immediately! Remember eyebrows REALLY change a person’s appearance (it makes up 70% of what you look like) so make it bold as all hell if need be
Something like this happened to me and @paisleypullovers but we just left when we realized we were being followed, better safe than sorry ya know.

How to stalk your local LP!
Call the store. Ask to speak to the loss prevention department.
Me: “Hi. I’m looking for a job in loss prevention and am wondering if you’re hiring now.”
Them: “Yes we are!” (Great time to lift. They’re hiring. Which means they need people and if they still have LP they are just putting in their 2 weeks so they can get the hell outta there.) If they aren’t hiring, ask if you can still submit an application.
Me: “Thanks! Who can I ask for when I come in and apply?”
Them: “Ask for Johnny B Good. He’s our LP manager.”
Me: “Thank You!” Hangs up phone. Goes on Facebook and looks up Johnny B Good. Finds him. Cute photo of him and his wife. Awe look. They have a new baby. Sweet. So he’s gained some weight since 2010. Wow. Oh look at his 200 friends. Let’s check them out. LP are close with not only their own LP but other stores as well.
So now I know that Johnny B Good is the LP manager at my favorite store. I also know what he looks like and can watch out for him when I’m in the store. Bonus. If he’s the Manager, he’ll usually be in plain clothes bossing the other LP around so you can find out who they are as well!
This saved me from getting caught one day. I was on the lookout for Johnny B Good and there was no sign of him anywhere. I continued gathering all the stuff I wanted to lift plus the stuff I didn’t. I was about to exit and I got this weird gut feeling. Not now. I strolled around the store some more. I noticed this guy in a green t-shirt who walked passed me twice and it looked like he knew the store employees. It freaked me out that I was being followed and I started dumping sh-t fast!!! I decided maybe I should buy a few things and take a few things. As I’m turning the corner, I look back at green t-shirt and he’s chatting with guess who!? Johnny B Good!!! There he is!! Omg!! So I lift nothing, buy a few items and leave!! I go home and look at his fb again. There’s green t shirt on his friends list!
They stalk you. Why not stalk them? Could save your life one day!!! Does Johnny B Good think I’m a lifter? Maybe. Or maybe just an airhead who couldn’t make up her mind. Who knows. I stayed clear of that place for 6 months!! When I went back I saw him again. He had no clue who I was. I knew who he was though. And that’s all that matters!
When calling another store they not only told me they were hiring but couldn’t connect me to the LP manager because they literally had NO LP at the time and were desperately searching! Yipppeeeeeeeee!!!! I went there 5 days in a row! Lol. Great Hauls.

ignore my pajama pants. this is usually my go to method for lifting one thing. I pick up a couple of other things along with what i want to lift and act like my hands are fully so i hold it with my forearm against my body then just drop it in. if anyone asks i’ll just say i didn’t mean to and say my hands were too full to hold it (:
Hey guys! So this is my first post, and I wanted to share a trick I discovered for lifting small items from Lush such as shower gels, toner waters, maybe a lip balm or two, just small items really. This concealing method worked for me when I went to my lush which is a very small location in a mall, and I went when it was kind of busy so SA’s weren’t paying attention to me because I’m actually a regular there and I usually buy shit so they don’t really pay attention to me because they just assume I know what I’m there for and I know what I’m doing so I don’t need any help. So with one hand, I was holding my Hot Topic bag (My lush is about 2 stores down from a Hot Topic in the mall) and I just subtly dropped this toner water into the bag through the little wrist hole while using my other hand to smell a shower gel.

How to deal with fitting room policies
Classified from easiest to trickiest.
Disclaimer : i’m not talking here about what will happen if they catch you, i’m talking about what employees and fitting room attendants usually do with your items.
- Unattended fitting rooms
Unattended fitting rooms are God’s gift to all lifters. No one to see you enter, no one to see you leave. You’re hella free to do anything as long as you don’t come in with 7 shirts and come back with 1.
- Unattended but monitored fitting rooms
Same as above, only difference is the entrance to the fitting rooms have cameras directly filming it. They might not be watched, but in case make sure your items look the same when you exit than when you entered, and don’t look directly at the camera.
- Unattended but locked fitting rooms
If you need someone to open the room for you, but no one is actually around, conceal in the blindspot formed by the fitting room corridor and then call an employee. If there’s a camera, conceal away from it.
- Fitting room attendants that don’t count
Take roughly 7 items with you and only conceal one, or if you want to feel more secure double hang items, they’re more likely to not be noticed.
- Fitting room attendants that count
You can either double hang (make it look flawless), conceal on the floor or lie about the number. I don’t recommend that however if they double check your hangers, even discreetly.
- Employees that take items from you while counting
Don’t even think about lying or dougle hanging here, better conceal on the floor. If the store is very busy, conceal a small shirt and use it as a decoy to conceal a bigger items that you brought on a hanger.
- Employees that take items from you while you’re still browsing
These are very annoying IMO, even if they’re just doing their job afterall. Get them to start a room for you, conceal on the floor or slip some items inside the room while they’re looking away.
The leftover rack technique
I didn’t know where to put that one so here it is : stores often have a special rack for items you don’t want anymore, casually located near the fitting rooms. I found 2 ways to use that to your advantage.
- When no one is watching, quickly grab some items from the rack and use them as decoys, and hand them back as if they were yours all along.
- When browsing, place some items you plan on lifting on the rack. You’ll get them later inside your room when dropping items you don’t want. This requires that no employee is gonna empty the rack/ see you, but it works pretty well against attendants that take items from you when you’re still browsing.

This is going to be a security tag names and removal post!!
I’m getting a lot of questions about the different types of tags and how to get them off sooo I’m going to be telling you guys the names of all of these tags from left to right starting with the top row and how to get them off.
1) sensormatic tag: don’t know the exact tag name but ik that’s a sensormatic and that one requires a hook.
2) sensormatic tag: hook
3) sensormatic: magnet
4) sensormatic: hook
5) sensormatic pencil tag: hook
6 & 7) gator: magnet or rubber band/hair tie
8) clam/UFO: magnet
9) some kind of sensormatic: magnet
10) these fucking suck and idk what they’re called but they require a lot of twisting and tugging and maybe a magnet? Not completely sure. You can probably cut the wire but idk if that’ll trigger an alarm. It depends
11-16) pencil tags: magnet
17) clam tag/dome tag: magnet
18-23) clam/dome: magnet

**an easy way to remember types of tags and removal is this:
•the more rectangular, thin, vertical ones are pencil tags
•the ones that are flat and rectangular with a small hole on the side and are curved are for hooks
•dome shaped tags and square shaped tags and tags with those bumps on them are for magnets. They’re magnetic and held together with a pin that the magnet pulls off
•those ugly yellow ones that have the little pyramids are gator tags and require bands of some sort and a magnet helps
•most ink tags (not pictured in this post but will say ink tag and be clear and have visible ink in them usually) require magnets but sometimes bands
The first few are weird mutant shapes and not quite pencil or dome but the brand is sensormatic and their tags always require a hook or magnet

My how-to guide on lifting from Ulta
So either you want some new high end/high priced makeup from Ulta for personal reasons or you want to start boosting to make nearly $500+ a week as a residual or sole income. OR you may just want some lower end skin care/makeup to practice on/with before heading to the big league… Here’s the best way that I can tell you about lifting from Ulta… (In an ask/answer format). *sigh* A goddamn disclaimer: I don’t know anything about their security or LP situation, but I do know that they have cameras at the cash registers and some stores have earpieces for the employees to communicate with one another (like some Sephoras do). Take this info with a grain of salt. I am not responsible if you get caught using my advice because it works for me (just saying). ASK: Should I go to an Ulta near me or far away? The Ulta far away would be your best bet, and this is just in case you may want to legitimately buy from one of your home based stores in the future… ASK: What time should I go to Ulta? Go near closing time when the employees are itching to go home and could care less about customer servicing you… Especially on a Friday or Saturday night and they’re so damn ready to go home so they can get ready to go out. They’re so busy talking to each other about what they’re planning to wear to the club rather than helping you… DISCLAIMER, yet again… I really don’t know shit about their LP but there are some posts floating around in this community saying that they have either a district/regional LP associate that comes in after a big loss or for a periodic store visit. Or they have a security guard that walks through the stores (probably in high crime areas)… ASK: How long is too long to be in Ulta without getting sussed? Depends. I just know that I get in and out in less than 25 minutes. After that you better be buying something to act as a decoy. The first five minutes are crucial because you’re rarely noticed then so you should load up during that time. I usually start in the high end makeup section and then work my way to the high end skin care. Then I’ll graze the lower end skincare/makeup isle (NYX, Revlon, Olay, etc.) to see if I want anything over there. If not I’ll start heading to the exit.nAfter Around 15 minutes you should start wrapping up your haul because by then someone will have noticed that you’re there and will probably ask you if you need help. ASK: What if they ask me if I need help? Ask them for a product that you know they don’t have in stock (Becca - Champagne Pop highlighter is a good one or the Foreo mini - those things are either getting lifted or sold like crazy). Then they’ll have nothing to do except tell you the product’s out of stock. Then you should thank them for looking or telling you and then then casually walk out of the store praying that you didn’t miss a sensor and beep. ASK: Any general tips for Ulta? Don’t be too fast trying to load up and miss a sensor or two because it’ll fuck you in the end… AND…. be polite to the associates. As long as they’re nice and polite to you, give them that in return. 😊 Feel free to reblog with any tips that I may’ve forgotten.
Having worked for that shit company for a good 6 months I’ll say this & this should be true for each store
LP, general/regional management and store management are the only ones allowed to stop you. LP, RM, GM only come to the store during thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, New Years and summer.
There are normally three managers in the store at all times they wear all black or black and white and have a headset on them. Head cashiers are the only other people who wear headsets.
When you go in you’ll normally see a monitor behind where the cashiers stand they are watching fragrance, they have no way to change that view it stays on fragrance.
Management is usually behind the registers helping or in the back taking conference calls, doing interviews, watching cameras or doing payroll.
In the whole time I worked there I was either behind the register or doing go backs. The only ppl who work there that really have free range to move around are salon, whoever is on register for salon, MUA’s or ppl doing facials. You will occasionally see someone who does freelance makeup for a company but they never go too far away from where they need to be.
If you’ve ever been in Ulta and heard a binging/pinging noise stay calm
1 bing noise means - I need another cashier up here the line is getting long 2 bing noises means - I need a manager now before you panic when you hear 2 all that means is I need an override or I need more money in my register.
They get new shipments in every Monday, so if you want to get in and get out go Monday morning. Why? A. We had to be there no later than 5 am to get all the stuff off the truck unbox it, stock it and clean up. We normally would be done around 9 am B. There’s usually still small boxes of stuff still out with merch in them (naked palettes etc) C. SA’s are so tired and delirious by 9am and just want to gtfo they won’t even notice you.
You’re biggest concern is Johnny Boy Scouts customers who snitch if they see you concealing.
As long as you make it out of the store, to your car and off the property enjoy your liberated stuff.
Here’s a tip I’ve picked up when it comes to ulta and Sephora type stores: say you’re looking for a RED EYESHADOW. It seems like a specific product but a lot of stores don’t actually have a true red shadow (Sephora only has MUFE that carries a red shadow, and it’s usually not even in stock). So yeah, if you need a decoy question, ask if they have a true red shadow and be disappointed by the results saying it’s not quite right

but then you lift $100+ of the stores product
