“Okay boys,” Remy stated, taking a sip of his tea, “Go impress me.”
Smirking, Toby shrugged and said, “That’s not how this works, Rem. We’re supposed to-”
“No, nope, none of that,” Remy interrupted, waving his hand at the games in the arcade, “You two wouldn’t shut up about how amazing you are at games and how you could beat each other in an instant. I’m paying for your chance to have a moment of glory.”
“We bought you lunch,” Nate said slowly, pushing the sleeves of his jacket to his elbows, “Doesn’t that mean-”
“Nope!” Remy said, taking another sip of his tea and eyeing his boys over his sunglasses, “Go. amaze me with your skills.”
Groaning, Nate’s shoulders slumped as he asked, “We don’t have a choice do we?”
Smiling deviously, Remy said, “I think you both know the answer to that. C’mon.”
Nodding at Toby to lead the way, Remy fell behind his boys as they wandered through the arcade. Lights flashed on different games, a variety of sounds filled the space as they walked past different areas, and Toby and Nate talked to each other before approaching a machine.
“DDR?” Remy asked, raising n eyebrow, “I honestly thought you two would go for skee ball.”
“Nah, it’s cooler this way, “Nate stated, fishing in his jacket pocket for the tokens Remy had purchased for him.
Nodding, Toby added, “You’ve played this before, right Rem?”
Scoffing, Remy waved his hand and stated, “Everyone’s done this at least once. Now, impress me.”
Rolling his eyes, Toby blew a kiss at Remy while Nate muttered about being tired already. Leaning against an unused game, Remy took another long sip of his drink as his boy started their game. After a few rounds, Remy became captivated with how Toby and Nate were able to move in unison, laughing at each other’s missteps, and sending teasing smirks Remy’s way when they turned around. Feeling his glasses slip down his nose, Remy pushed them back up and ran a hand through his hair quickly, turning his attention back to his nearly empty tea.
Glancing back up at his boys as they started another song, Remy smiled softly and finished off his drink. Pushing his glasses up on his head, Remy noticed the wide smile on Toby’s face and how quickly Nate moved when he wanted to. Suddenly feeling exhaustion weigh down on him, Remy let himself fully lean against the unused game while Nate and Toby finished their game.
Stepping off, Toby smirked as Nate pulled his jacket off and said, “Why do I always have to do something fast whenever I hang out with you guys? It’s too hot for this now.”
“We’re just too hot for you,” Toby stated, casting a glance at Remy as if waiting for an agreement.
Nodding tiredly, Remy said quieter than usual, “You guys are good.”
Frowning, Nate placed a hand on Remy’s shoulder and gently guided his friend to the floor before saying, “You didn’t sleep last night.”
Blinking, Remy smirked and said, “Maybe?”
Rolling his eyes, Toby knelt next to the other two and stated, “You gotta take care of yourself, Rem. We coulda just stayed at your place if you wanted.”
Shaking his head, Remy pushed himself up and muttered, “Not as fun as watching you two dancing. That’s a rare sight.”
Shaking his head, Nate said, “You need a nap and some take out. I don’t even want to know how caffeine is affecting your system right now.”
Toby let out a small laugh before stating, “Rem had a small today, so he probably won’t be affected in the slightest. Right?”
Smirking at his boys Remy nodded and mumbled, “I gotta make you guys do this again. I forced you two to be active and even got food out of it.”
“Don’t push it,” Nate commented teasingly, earning a shove from Toby.
