Hey randos

Let’s say I actually did write some fiction set in the realms of RandomItemDrop and RandomEncounters, starting with that “Jortress of the Denimogorgon” I hinted at a while back in the “jobjects (jeans objects)” tag. Where should I publish it?

Tumblr is terrible for posts longer than a paragraph or two

AO3 seems to be a popular platform for derived works, but I feel like this is so far from canon D&D it doesn’t really count as fanfic any more than the original D&D modules were fanfic of the fantasy novels they stole from were inspired by. AO3′s “original works” section, then?

A dedicated Blogspot/Wordpress blog?

Apparently some people are publishing things via GoogleDocs?

I’ve actually been trying to write fics for a little while, but after a few false starts I realized the parody-fantasy vibe has been perfected by masters and done to death by hacks–and anyway, given the #technology tag, the blog seems to skew to a magical version of something a lot more modern–so to establish something a little more original, the Realms of Ridare are technologically and aesthetically up to somewhere between 1977-1992, a shattered planet lit by magic neon, its ruined dungeons overhauled into chrome-panelled malls by urban renewal plans with secret agendas. Until I get the first fics up, I’ve been locking down the vibe with an aesthetic sideblog at @realms-of-ridare​.

And some Serafine WIPs just for fun, because I enjoy drawing her pointy expressions. These are for her character sheet. Lastly, we are still raising funds for our final stretch goal - an animated/live action music video with song by Sepiatonic.  We have just 13k to go to get there!
