bit hard to infer things about the ormund/gwayne relationship from what we've seen, but i like how it seems to be a more fucked-up, less caring version of the daemon/viserys relationship (with daeron being the rhaenyra), down to gwayne being a deadbeat father-figure and his war strategy clashing with ormund's.

and i love that gwayne is explicitly gay while ormund is both homophobic and incredibly gay-coded/campy as hell. gwayne's gayness being the thing that made him realize those were assassins is incredibly funny. ormund puking his guts out after calling rhaenyra squeamish is hilarious too. there's def a homoerotic content component to all these hightower relationships and i love how camp the whole thing is.
