M2C.asia seeks to provide thought leaders the best practices for caring for their cities through the Mission to the Cities Initiative.
One opportunity to care comes from Phnom Penh, Cambodia as reported by Alice Cuddy and Taing Vida, in the May 23, 2015 Phnom Penh Post newspaper. Here is the link to read their article

Each city has within its boundaries, manufacturing zones. Many people often come to these parts of the cities looking for jobs, and looking for hope.
Too often there is a "tug of war" between local government, and the employers as to who is responsible for funding the needed measures for adequate work environment for the workers. Despite their best intensions, often the workers are left without the hope that they were looking for. Hope for a steady job to provide for their family. Hope for a safe work environment. Hope for a better future.
Mr. Sen David reported in the Phnom Penh Post on August 8, 2011, that about 50 workers fainted at a local garment factory. Although authorities did not officially identify the cause of this incident, one can see the opportunity to be part of the solution in caring for the workers.

One may ask, "What can be done to help?" This situation provides an excellent example for an opportunity to care. An opportunity to bring hope.
