It’s heartbreaking to think about the amount of queer people back in the day who lived their entire lives without being able to love their loved one publicly out of fear of being shamed or possibly even worse. Or even the people who spent their entire lives lying to themselves thinking that if they just tried they can be “normal”, just to find themselves never truly satisfied or happy in the end of it. Even more heartbreaking to know that someone out there is currently experiencing this.
