Recently a short article (link here) came out about Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. The article said that currently not much is known about the game, but mentioned that it will have a new crafting system and... a whole new life.

If you remember the trailer we got, there were two ? in the screen showcasing all the lives. At the time I speculated in a post (link here) that given the placement of the ?, the two new lives would probably be a gathering life an a crafting life.

Because of that article, I believe that one of the new lives will be one of the scrapped lives in the original Fantasy Life game: Farmer, Fortune-teller, Mailman, Merchant/Shopkeeper, Pilot, Scholar, Street Entertainer or Treasure Hunter (and my personal bet is still farmer); while the other new life well be a brand new one we've never seen. Perhaps a Builder or Decorator Life? What if we get a whole life dedicated to catching bugs? Or maybe an Archeologist Life, since time travel will be a big part of the game? Can't wait to find out!

Happy (late) 7th anniversary for the EU release fantasy life! I did a redraw from last year’s anniversary drawing.

Can’t believe I forgot…To be fair, even if I did remember, I wouldn’t be able to do anything because of my arm. It’s better now of course, good as new! I think.

note that there’s several articles on different sites talking about the level 5 news

note that they all say “reportedly” and “supposedly” and similar words (wikipedia itself:  In October 2020, it was reported that the company’s all North American operations, including its subsidiary Level-5 Abby, had been shutting down.)

so it seems nothing has been fully confirmed yet

spawn wave’s latest vid (jump to around 3:40) goes on to say that these locations were working with a skeleton crew since august 2019 :< hopefully they’ll work something out and their stuff can still get made/localised outside of japan
