Museu Aberto de Arte Urbana Urban Art Open Air Museum Cerca de 33 colunas que sus- tentam o metrô na Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul receberam um colorido especial de mais de 50 artistas, transforman - do a região de Santana em uma grande galeria ao ar livre: o Museu Aberto de Arte Urbana, iniciativa pioneira no mundo. O projeto, que teve a curadoria de Chivitz e Binho Ribeiro, ainda contemplou ações educativas com a po- pulação local. Nesta primeira edição, contou com obras de diversos artistas. São Paulo, cidade de inúmeros talentos criativos, começou a ganhar o colorido dos grafites nos anos 80. E hoje, muitos de seus artistas, reconhecidos internacionalmente, atraem visitan- tes à procura de suas obras, que acabam se encantando com a descoberta de novos gênios da arte de rua. Essas intervenções urbanas, por sua característica dinâmica, podem ser admiradas por um período limitado e ao mesmo tempo indeterminado, mas podem ser imortalizadas com as fotos que de tempos em tempos são expostas em galerias e outros espaços culturais. Approximately 33 columns supporting the subway at Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul have been given a special coloring by above 50 artists, transfor- ming the Santana region into a great open air art gallery, the first in the world: the Ur- ban Art Open Museum. The project, which was curated by Chivitz and Binho Ribeiro, still contemplates educa- tional actions with the local population. In this first edition relied on works by several artists. São Paulo, a city of numerous creative talents, started gaining the graffiti coloring in the 1980s. And, today, many of its internationally renowned artists attract visitors in search of their works, who become enchanted with the discovery of new street art geniuses. Due to their dynamic characteristics these urban interventions may be admired for a limited, yet indeterminate period, but can be immortalized with the photos which from times to times are exhibited in art galleries and other cultural spaces.
