Welcome to Maccadam’s!
Jovial hoots of celebration and clinking of glasses roared over the music in a sudden surge. On screen above, cameras replayed the last-minute snatching of the game cube. Its successful holder raised his newly earned prize above his helm was consumed in a flash of blue light. Another successful win for Iacon, it seems. Shouts of merriment were soon followed with groans of disappointment, slapping of credits in awaiting servos, and the all-too-familiar call for another round.
Highball was nothing short of happy to oblige. “On it, doll!”
She set down her rag and the glass that forever remains unclean, switching her selection out for several mugs. Humming as she poured, she called out to her fellow bar hand, “Oi! Fizz! We getting low on oilnog, keep an optic on the front while I go to the back to grab another barrel for the tap.”
A bottle flipped in the air, its owner spinning to catch it and pour a row of shots aligned on the bar in front of her in fluid motion. “You got it, love. Don’t be too long, or you’ll miss all the excitement.”
As if on time, a chime signaled the entrance of new customers.
“Speaking of excitement… There’s a set of new faces,” Fizz mused, her mouth turned in an upwards smirk. “I wonder what stories they bring? One thing is for sure, this is going to be fun.”
