Ez teljesen egyszerűnek tűnik, azonban a gyakorlatban mégsem megy olyan könnyen. A létfenntartás minden egyes nap fárasztó küzdelem. Egyesek ragadozók, mások azonban prédák. Az egysejtűektől kezdve egészen az emberi fajig, minden Földön élő organizmusnak alkalmazkodni kell a fennmaradás érdekében. Ez alól a pókok sem kivételek. A következő előadásban csak néhány olyan alkalmazkodási módszert mutatok be, mellyel a pókok nem csak túlélni képesek, hanem biztosítják a jövő generációinak a túlélés lehetőségét. A hálószövőktől a hálóvetőkig, az egyszerűektől a színpompásokig. Ők vadásznak és áldozatul is esnek, a legszebb pedig, hogy az adott pillanatban mind a Circus Arachnid sztárjai! “Oh what a tangled web we weave. It would seem a simple idea in essence but in practice is it really this clear cut? All species face a daily uphill struggle. Some are predators others are prey. From the complex human race to the single celled organisms that all inhabit this rock called Earth they must all adapt if they are to survive. The spiders are no exception to this and in this lecture we will see just some of the amazing adaptations the spiders have made to not only ensure their own survival but also that of their future generations. From the web builders to the web casters, from the colourful to the colourless. Those that hunt and those that are hunted, from the mighty to the minute they are all part of Circus Arachnid.
