Mysterious Egg Sac in Algonquin Provincial Park. Many Insects and Spiders construct distinctive Egg Sacs with Silk, saliva, or other materials produced by their bodies or found in their environments. This picture is of an Egg Sac found in Algonquin Provincial Park earlier this month. When I consulted the definitive guide to such things (Tracks and Sign of Insects and Other Invertebrates, by Charley Eiseman and Noah Charney), I found this type of Egg Sac described as commonly encountered but still mysterious. The authors said that they were fairly sure this type of Egg Sac was constructed by Tetragnathid Spiders (Long-Jawed Orbweavers). A later blogpost by Charley Eiseman on his amazing blog Bugtracks confirmed that at least some of these types of Egg Sacs produce Tetragnathid Spiders (the ones in the post were of the genus Tetragnatha). . It's a fascinating world out there, especially if you take the time to pay attention to and appreciate the little things. The authors of Tracks and Sign of Insects and Other Invertebrates have certainly done so, and I would highly recommend their book. . . . . . . . #nature #ontario #algonquinprovincialpark #algonquinpark #tetragnathidae #tetragnatha #spidereggsac #tracksandsign #bugtracks #ontarioprovincialparks #appreciatethelittlethings #fascinatingspiders #spiders_of_the_world #spider #eggsac #spidereggs #macro #macrolife (at Algonquin Provincial Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEbWx8Ogo3y/?igshid=1oe8ec2nem268
Quit it or I'll bite, nick + reggie, am I supposed to be anon for this
Nick Scratch has had a lot of partners -- and what Church of Night witch hasn’t, after all? -- of all varieties and genders, be they witch or demon or (recently) half-mortal, but for the most part the Weird Sisters have always called dibs on any mortal boys that might wander across their path.
And he’s fine with that, mostly. It’s never been particularly difficult for Nick to find company for himself when he’s in the mood for it, and from everything Prudence always tells him, mortal boys are like a snack, not a meal.
Whatever the case, though, he’d still found himself hungry when he first came across the boy in the blue and gold jacket (presumably one of the many that came over from Riverdale for the ‘game’ at Sabrina’s school, whatever that means) having car trouble by the edge of the forest.
Mortal boys are easy and usually rather dumb, that’s what all the witches at the Academy always say, and this seemed to prove true enough with Reggie Mantle as well, but Nick quickly discovers it is perhaps not always that simple. Seducing him in the woods that day was simple, albeit time consuming, but the complicated part came afterward when he tried to untangle himself from Reggie’s absurdly long legs and get out of the car.
Reggie catches him by the collar to kiss again, on the mouth, the neck, the jaw, clearly hopeful for a second round.
“Quit it or I'll bite,” says Nick sharply, although truthfully, he doesn’t actually mind the affection. He can’t stay here forever, in this car with this boy, he really should get going, but...
“So do it, then,” Reggie challenges with a smirk. Nick smirks back, taking his hand off the door handle.
Fair enough, he supposes.
So as you know I didn't really watch FMA but I remember this thing from my wayward college days when I went to an anime convention and was chilling at the dance, dancing with a female friend, when this dude like actively tried to get up on the both of us, sliding between us - it was gross and confusing - and in literally five second the dance's security team was on him, dragging him away. They were dressed like FMA alchemists in those blue coats.
ewwwwwwww. roy mustang (main guy in the blue coat) would be ashamed
A female net-casting spider (Deinopis sp.) building her eggsac with a special type of silk. Spiders have various types of silk, some species have 6 (well, almost 7) different types of silk glands for different uses! #pickoftheday #spider #deinopis #biodiversity #silk #arachnid #mother #ball #eggsac #spidersofinstagram #nature @ilcp_photographers (presso Gamboa, Panama)
Okay so I watched like one episode of FMA a long long time ago and I barely remember anything about it but now that I followed you I feel like I need to hold you personally responsible for the fact that Roy Mustang featured prominently in a dream I had last night. I don't remember what he was doing but I think at one point Riza had to come and pick him up because he was lost. I have no idea if this is in character but still. Personally. Responsible.
This is incredibly in character I’m so glad to be responsible for this dream
